Two lines of hot tears streamed down her cheeks, making him feel flustered.
Charles Seymour held a paper and pen in one hand and awkwardly grabbed a tissue with the other to wipe Sophie Wilson's tears.
The more he wiped, the more Sophie's tears flowed, making his heart even more chaotic.
"What's wrong?" Charles couldn't understand why Sophie was suddenly crying. He thought for a moment and nodded heavily, "I believe what you said. And also... just to think, I didn't lock you up this time."
Although he had considered it before, he didn't do it, did he?
"Well... I apologize, I did think about it, but..."
"Idiot!" Sophie angrily cursed, reached out, and slapped Charles on the forehead.
Charles was stunned by the slap.
