Charles Seymour opened his mouth to speak, but Sophie Wilson's voice came through the phone: "Having you is enough for me."
He was a step behind, caught off guard by her charm, and his ears seemed to feel a bit warm. He replied in a low voice, "Having you is enough for me too."
Sophie Wilson listened and chuckled softly, "I know. Alright, you should rest early too, take your time with those notes, there's no rush."
"Mm." Charles Seymour responded, but he didn't really plan to do as Sophie said. With these precious notes in his hands, of course he wanted to finish them as soon as possible.
He needed to solve everything about Sophie early, only then could he be at ease.
Unfortunately, Charles Seymour's perfunctory attitude didn't fool Sophie Wilson. She "warned" him: "If I see you tomorrow looking sleep-deprived, hmm... be careful!"
Sophie Wilson's arrogant tone, even across the phone, Charles could imagine her smug little expression, as he had seen it many times before.
