Sophie Wilson didn't know how lively the people around her were at the party. When she finally snapped out of her excitement from studying the script, she realized nearly two hours had passed.
Looking up at the computer screen, she found Charles Seymour staring intently at her. It seemed he wasn't expecting her to look up suddenly; a flash of awkwardness and panic flickered in his calm eyes, like a child caught sneaking candy.
However, Mr. Seymour was far more composed than a child. Just a moment of panic, and he steadied himself, as if nothing had happened, and asked, "Hungry?"
Sophie Wilson touched her stomach and nodded, "Yes."
He hadn't mentioned it, but now he did, she really was hungry.
