"When can we leave?" Stephen Wilson asked, with a trace of impatience.
He didn't want to waste time on Sophie Wilson.
"The results will take some time. How about we come back another day?" Sophie Wilson found Stephen's impatience amusing.
Clearly, he was making his irritation so obvious, yet he still hoped she wouldn't notice.
Did Stephen Wilson think she was blind?
"Another day?" Stephen Wilson seemed to think of something, nodded, and said, "Alright, let's talk about it tomorrow then."
After saying this, he added, "You've had a scare, go back and have a good night's rest."
Shouldn't parents comfort their frightened children?
Letting her go rest by herself... Well, it seems that Stephen Wilson has a lot of confidence in his daughter's resilience.
Sophie Wilson lifted her face in a smile and nodded readily, "Okay."
Since he wasn't truly family, why should she feel sad or hurt over someone like that?
