"A good person, huh?"
Little Ben squinted, gazing at the vast sky: "I have a criminal record, and I was a repeat offender from a young age. At the time, both the prosecutor and the detective said I was beyond saving, a cancer on society."
Tang Yanxi raised an eyebrow and nodded: "So you're no longer interested in being a 'good person' in others' eyes. Then just keep being the 'bad person'."
He walked over and patted Little Ben on the shoulder; "The world is full of pretentious 'good people,' but lacks those who are genuinely 'bad.' Not everyone can be a good person; some have to play the role of a bad person. Sometimes, bad people contribute more to this world."
Over the fifteen years spent assisting James, the badness in Little Ben that he had to hide away screamed from deep within his bones to break free.
"Absolutely right!" He squinted at Tang Yanxi: "Are you really at ease, entrusting this to me?"
Tang Yanxi shrugged: "If I wasn't, I wouldn't have let you see it at all."
