Mason Bennett was somewhat distracted, and when he came to his senses, he found that he had already dialed a number.
The man's thin lips pressed together, his brows slightly furrowed. Just as he was about to hang up, the call was answered on the other end.
"Boss, the matter Elliot Morris asked me to investigate still hasn't yielded results."
Mason Bennett paused for a moment and said.
"Keep investigating."
"Hmm, by the way, I'm out of lollipops."
A slightly childish voice came through the receiver.
The voice sounded like a seventeen or eighteen-year-old boy.
"Talk to Elliot Morris about that," Mason Bennett replied, frowning.
"Okay."
"And incidentally, investigate one more thing." He hesitated for a long time before speaking.
"Boss." On the other end, the youthful voice rang out seriously.
"Speak." Mason Bennett said coldly.
"You're squeezing me like this, you have to compensate me with an extra box of lollipops."
