"Please, go ahead, please go ahead," Samuel Gren immediately nodded and smiled obsequiously.
Seeing his demeanor, Mrs. Bennett was even more unimpressed.
"I heard that Bella was lost when she was a child, and it's only recently that you've brought her back. It seems that you don't have much affection for her. Since that's the case, this old lady here is going to take her away. Since the Green Family doesn't care about her, she is our Bennett Family's daughter-in-law, and will eventually be part of our family. It wouldn't hurt to go early. Bella, if you need anything, grandma will provide it for you. No need to pack anything, let's go."
As Mrs. Bennett spoke, she patted Bella Green's hand, poised to stand up.
These words scared Samuel Gren, who hastily blocked their path.
"Madam, what are you saying? Bella is my daughter, how could I not care about her? There must be some misunderstanding here."
This development left him a bit baffled.
