Little girl, these two words made Grayson Knight pause!
For a moment, he forgot about the black pistol aimed at him, a gun that could take his life at any time.
He's Eva Nightingale's father?!!!
Although he didn't know the other person's background, Grayson's intuition told him that the man was quite influential.
Now, Eva holds the status of Bennett Clan's heir, which Grayson naturally knows, but it's well-known that the current Monarch of the Bennett Clan is a woman—Eliana Beckett.
"Uncle, there's been a misunderstanding. I'm a longtime friend of Miss Eva, and I have no intention of harming her. She's just fallen asleep in my arms; I haven't hurt her," Grayson tightened his hold on the woman in his embrace, explaining, "I care deeply for her and would never do anything to harm her."
"Since you're Miss Eva's father, I'm happy to hand her over to you now."
