"You're not in love with the Young Madam, are you?"
Harry North's words made Lucas Knight freeze; the deep, unreadable eyes took on a cold edge.
Harry thought he'd guessed wrong, but the next second that chilly voice came from behind him: "Harry, you're not wrong."
"You guessed right."
"Maybe even back then I never thought I'd fall for her. A year ago we ran into each other again by accident, neither of us recognizing the other, but the way I felt about her was completely different."
"She was the one who took the initiative to propose this contract marriage." So now even Lucas Knight didn't know what he was supposed to do.
Harry North: "Crown Prince, there's no bar you want that you can't get, and countless women like you. The Young Madam might be one of them too!"
Lucas Knight didn't speak.
He pulled out his phone and dialed Eva Nightingale's number.
