I thought it was all over.
But then I woke up in a hospital.
When I finally opened my eyes, I squinted badly from the bright sunshine rays.
I'm alive.
At first, I thought what happened to me after my friends and I watched a Marvel movie was all a dream. The transmigration, Eternity, the system, my wish and all that, was just a product of my dreamland.
But no— this crazy shit is all real.
I tried to sit up from my bed but I felt some heaviness on my right. I looked up and saw a girl sleeping. I recognize her because she was the asian girl who was getting mugged yesterday—uhh maybe the other day. I don't know, I might've stayed in this hospital longer than I thought.
Feeling a sudden movement, she slowly stirred up from her sleep. She then stared at me like I'm an animal in a zoo.
"Uhh, hi?" I greeted trying not to sound a creep.
She didn't reply and she just keeps staring at me.
I'm not a racist but since she has squinting eyes, I'm sure she's asian, probably chinese or japanese. I assume she probably can't understand what I'm saying simply because she's not responding. So I repeated my greeting but this time, with a gesture of my hands.
"Hello....", I started waving to her.
"I... Me.... Glenn Peterson. Not Lao Peng, oke?" I changed my gesture pointing at me.
"You... Name... NAME", I said pointing at her.
After a couple of seconds she finally replied to me.
"I can perfectly understand and speak english, moron." She said with a deadpan face.
I was stunned at first, then my face got all red from the embarrassment when I heard her reply. I couldn't help but agree with her. I really am a fucking moron.
"Sorry, I thought you don't understand me cause you just keep on staring at me."
"Oh that, I'm just observing you and thinking wether I should let you stay here or send you to a psychiatric medical facility. " She said squinting her eyes even more as if she's really considering it.
"Huh, why?"
"You're still asking why?! You!" The girl shouted angrily.
Because of her shout, she earned a couple of shhhs from the nearby wards.
Turning back to me, she glared at me, not masking her annoyance.
"I prefer hospital for now, ahem! And get out as soon as possible. Wait, I still don't know your name yet. " I said.
"Tsk, Elle." she replied in grumble.
"Now we're talking. So Elle, I would like to thank you for saving me. How long have I been staying here?" Glenn asked.
"Two days! You're lucky, your wounds aren't fatal. And forgodsake, you didn't even bring any money nor a single identification with you!"
"Ohhh! Ohhhh shit.. shit I forgot about that part. Then how did you get me here? I thought they require some identification."
"Well, I just made up some random name and information from you. But my dad's the one who paid for the bill. Good thing, he knew someone here or else, you'll be dead by now."
"Just curious, what name did you came up with?"
"Leeroy Jenkins, 20 with slight autism."
"Holy shit, you're savage."
"What?! You really went Leeroy Jenkins out there last time with a strange battle cry, 'Hey yo shoot me, hohoho'. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't be here now. "
She said it in mocking low tone trying to replicate a masculine voice.
"Hey, I'm pretty sure that's not how I sound and my laugh wasn't close to Santa as far as I remember. Mind you, if it weren't for me, you would get mugged. I saved your ass back there."
"By what? Getting yourself shot? Nice move. Now, I gotta pay your hospital bills."
"The point is, I saved you. Let's just focused on that."
"No! You owe me now. You don't want to pay? I'll tell them I didn't know you and you got no money and identification. Let's see how they call the cops to arrest you for being suspicious."
"Okay okay, I'll pay you up. Geez! You look more like a mugger than those two guys. But I don't have money right now."
"Then how are you going to pay me and my dad?"
"Uhmm, can I stay at your house for a while at least? I'll just use my body as payment."
"I was wondering how those bullets put holes on you when you have so much thick skin, you shameless asshole." She said in exasperation.
"You have some nerve! You are the one who owe me and you want to stay at our house for free? Wow just wow. You even want to use your body, huh. I'm still a minor you crazy piece of shit." Elle continued.
"Hey hey, watch your language. And by the way, I'm talking about labor not prostitution. Are you crazy? What do you think I am? A giggolo?"
She looked at me from head to toe and lingered more in my groin area where a bulge was standing out. She replied, "Uhmm pretty much, yeah."
"Hey, eyes here little lady. It's not your time yet. Work your way towards 18 and you'll see."
"Can I see your—"
"Absolutely not! You'll get one too one day from your boyfriend."
I don't want to stay in this topic so I casually change it and continue to persuade her.
"Look, you are right—"
"That you are a giggolo?" Elle cut him.
"Yes—what?!! No! You are right that I don't have money to pay you for the moment. I also don't have a place to stay and my identity, I don't remember much, just my name. So could you help me one more time, please? I don't have anyone else to rely on."
She stayed silent for a while and then she sighed.
"Fine, I'll ask my dad. But no promises, okay?"
"Thank you. I promise I'll work hard to pay what I owe you. "
"Hmph! By the way, thank you for being an idiot that day even if it's not your intention to save me." After she said that she stood up and was ready to leave.
"You're welcome, tsundere! Wait, where are you going?"
"I'm going ahead to the counter and let them process your release as soon as possible. The doctor said you can go as soon as you regain consciousness."
Without waiting for a reply, she left the room.
Now that I'm on my own, I couldn't help but talk to myself.
"How could I forget my identity and money? Such a fucking idiot. Sigh."
And since I'm alone now, it is the best time to check my system to see how it'll help me survive in this world.

A panel suddenly appeared infront of me once again showing my profile.

Then I noticed something different in my profile at this moment, the Quest selection was gleaming which I understood that there's something new in it.
I selected the Quest and it opened another panel showing one quest and the status was already completed.

After saying the trigger word, it made me in daze all due to a large size of information and experiences went into my mind about the Marine Six Styles. The magical thing was, it felt like I've done it for years and was ingrained in my muscle memory. If I wanted to do Geppo right now, I will be able to do without much difficulty.

Taking a deep breath, I went to check my other reward. With my mental command, a window showing internal storage suddenly appeared similar to MMORPG games I played.
I checked the surrounding again to see if there's someone watching me, making sure my area was covered up. Founding no one, I tried to store my blanket and it works like magic. When I look into my internal storage, I could see a white cloth with a name Blanket on it. Then thinking again of taking it out, it suddenly appeared out of thin air infront of me.
"Glad I figured how it works just fine."
After playing with my internal storage for a bit, I turned my attention to the Shop.
Selecting it with a mental command, a new window popped up. It all showed different kinds of equipment, techniques in the form of books, fruits, tools, and haki tutorial books.
I paid special attention to the fruits. However, the points required to buy them was astonishingly high and they seems to be locked because they are grayed out. I scroll down some more and saw at the end a unique fruit with question mark in it with a label, 'Random Devil Fruit'. This one is different because it wasn't grayed out and the price was a staggering 50 million points. By logic, buying this grants you a chance to draw a random devil fruit from the shop.
There were Pacifista cyborgs as well and it was second to the most expensive thing in the entire shop. Next would be sacred weapon, then haki and techniques followed by the tools as the cheapest prices.
I couldn't help but wonder why the fruits are so high while the haki tutorials are way more achievable, when in my opinion, learning haki is way more important and overpowered than the devil fruits. I couldn't understand the reason behind it but I prefer it that way and it works in my favor. I made a mental note to take advantage of it later.
"Sigh, how am I supposed to acquire them if they are all this expensive? Tsk, it appears I can only wait for them from the rewards."
Suddenly, I heard some footsteps coming towards his room so he hurriedly close the system and waited for a moment before Elle walks in.
Seeing her, I couldn't help but smile and say, "Finally, I'm going out of this damn, place. I don't like the smell of medicine."
