Chapter 11 - The squad grows bigger and stronger!

A Wyrm's roar echoed through the air, bringing Nate's attention.

His eyes narrowed, focusing on the Dark Elf riding the Wyrm's neck.

The Dark Elf struck a dagger deep into its flesh, grinding it against its scales.

'Not bad, it is an easy win at this rate,' Nate thought, witnessing the Wyrm trying to get the Assassin off its neck.

He knew it was futile.

The Dark Elf was out of the Wyrm's reach, and his attacks were lethal, sealing the deal.

Suddenly, the elven healer was flung past Nate's vision, before crashing against a rock.

Nate glanced at her. "You are hopeless," he stated intently.

Her target—the other Wyrm—was unharmed. But she, she was a complete wreck.

Nate watched as the elf stood, charged at the Wyrm, striking it with her staff before getting whipped across the distance.

'No... I'm not doing this ever again,' Nate thought, regretting his actions.

He facepalmed. "Staffs can't deal physical damage, I should have offered her my sword..."

'This's a bloody unwanted mess, but a valuable lesson nonetheless,' he thought as the sudden realization struck him.

He stared at the towering creature, a mixed chunk of rocks, metals, and lava.

"Are you smart? Can you speak?" Nate asked.

It raised its head proudly. "Stygia is an advanced lifeform!"

Nate smiled. If it was smart, then there was no reason to question the dwarf. Much less, keep it around.

"Remove the dwarf," Nate ordered.

The golem nodded. "Affirmative, owner." Then it summoned a massive, obsidian hammer.

"Esteemed golem, we can talk!" The golem shouted. He felt extremely terrified.

The golem refused, kicking the dwarf. "Stygia hates dwarf fools!"

"Racist!!!" The dwarf roared, crawling away from the accelerating hammer.

However, it was massive. Moving an inch away did nothing. It struck the dwarf's legs, flattening them against the ground.

It stated angrily, "Stygians aren't racist, dwarves are filthy traitors!"

"W-w-we created—" The dwarf stuttered.

Silence... The hammer struck the dwarf's head, shutting him down.

"Mission complete. Traitor removed successfully!" The golem saluted, kneeling proudly.

Nate didn't react at all, he didn't even flinch.

No, he was rather amused. Not by the golem's ruthlessness, but because of the conversation he heard.

His attention fell on the golem, ignoring the elves and the wyrms fighting over the distance.

"Did dwarfs create you?" Nate asked.

It shook its head.

"Negative. God created Stygians. Dwarves created replicas. Dwarves sided with demons. Demons stole blueprints. Demons killed dwarves," It said.

'Karma strikes back,' Nate thought, thinking it was ironic.

The golem's information was relayed, regardless of how fractured it was.

It continued, "Stygia demands a name. Stygia requires permission to wipe all dwarf garbage."

"Name?" Nate smiled, then nodded approvingly.

But killing all the dwarves he summons? That was personal.

'This is tricky,' he thought.

While the dwarves were traitors, they couldn't betray him due to the restrictions placed on them.

They were valuable assists, but he didn't like traitors...

As for the golem, he thought it wasn't an 'advanced lifeform' as it claimed.

'It's not lying, but hearing a clearer story from a dwarf would be much better,' Nate nodded, making up his mind.

"I will name you, but I won't act on dwarves yet," Nate answered.

He continued, "Hmm... Vulcan?" considering it consisted of lava, rocks, and metals.

"Vulcan approves. Vulcan awaits tasks!"

Nate smiled. It was perfect. "You will be stationed in here with some troops. Your next task is forging gear."

Vulcan nodded then remained silent, a good sign of approval.

Nate glanced at the fighters, then back at Vulcan. "Good job."

The Dark Elf seated himself on his Wyrm's back, grinning proudly.

The other Wyrm pressed the elf against the ground, feasting on her slowly.

However, one issue remained. Dark Elf and Vulcan were passive, leaving their victims to rot.

"What are you waiting for? Devour your prey!" Nate commanded.

The Dark Elf bounced off the corpse. "Pardon me, my lord. But Wyrm meat sucks."

Nate frowned; he didn't care about their taste, he only wanted results and progress.

"Vulcan dislikes the dwarf, but Vulcan can absorb its essence."

"Go ahead," Nate waved to Vulcan.

Then he glanced at the Dark Elf, adding, "I assume you could do the same, just absorb the essence."

The Dark Elf complied as the Wyrm's corpse turned into light streaks before fading into his body.

Vulcan did a similar act; he stepped forward, stomping the dwarf violently. Molten lava spilled down, drowning the corpse and consuming it whole.

'Now, all that remains is an underworld pit and more summons,' Nate thought, but held himself back from moving forward.

'I can't mess around until I upgrade the skill. Otherwise, I'm fucked.'

He needed a strategic place for the pits. His awareness of the limitation didn't deter him at all.

He would get to upgrade some of his skills later, as long as he could hit level 50 in time.

"Not an army, yet. But I prefer this over keeping the weak one," Nate commented.

Time was definitely on his side when it came to this. He could summon a couple of troops daily while keeping the filter active.

He stared at the wyrm, "Any creature below my level shouldn't be kept around, unless it serves a purpose..."

If he intended to leave some summons in Infernum to farm, then having a healer was important.

He didn't mind exceptions because the Wyrm was a decent healer and strong.

'Maybe level five is decent?' Nate paused.

"Never mind, better move on,' he continued a few moments later, shaking his head.

...

Nate decided, saying, "It's time to wake them up; it's been almost nine hours on Earth."

"If I want to influence the government's actions, then absolute power is urgent," he continued.

He knew how tough it was to convince people in power.

But they weren't much different from his party. Once the approaching disaster is exposed, sitting around wouldn't be an option.

Nate strolled back to the group, clapping to awaken them.

"Rise and shine, fellas. Time to hustle," he announced.

"Isn't it a bit too early?" Arthur grumbled.

"Noooope! Infernum won't wait. We've got monsters to slaughter, a government to sway, and camps to set up."
