Chapter 6 - Are You Really Fat?

The four-eyed owl nearly pulled his beard off.

He smacked his lips as he looked at the wings behind the boy and shook his head in disbelief.

The reason is simple. The ability to fly is a relatively rare one. Even among bird spirits, the earliest it usually appears is at the third spirit ring.

And even then, it's usually just short-term hovering.

But looking at this kid, he's obviously able to fly freely—and at a pretty fast speed too.

Isn't this a bit too fucking outrageous?

What are the rules for martial soul mutation? Can you let me mutate too?

"Thanks to your teaching, teacher."

Ma Hongjun smiled slightly, then turned to look at Tang San, who was being supported by Xiao Wu. His smile faded and his brows furrowed. "Are these two new students at the academy?"

He naturally knew the truth, but had to play dumb in front of Flender.

"Yeah, come to think of it, why did you two start fighting?"

Flender nodded, adjusted his glasses, and asked in confusion.

Hearing this, Xiao Wu suddenly became nervous, and Tang San's body also stiffened.

From the tone of the profiteer and the young man's conversation, it was obvious that both were from the academy, and the profiteer was even a teacher.

After all, within a hundred miles, there was only one academy—Shrek.

Once this matter gets out, will they still be able to stay in the academy?

After all, it's not like they were completely in the right.

Third Brother didn't say anything at first, but after understanding the whole story, he still made a move—and even used a lethal technique that could seriously injure someone.

On the other hand, the red-haired boy not only didn't care about Third Brother's rude words, but even pushed her and the other girl aside before the fight to avoid accidental injury.

To be honest, Xiao Wu really didn't know how to face that young man.

But when she thought of the agreement between her Third Brother and the teacher, the girl with scorpion braid took a deep breath and looked at Ma Hongjun pleadingly with her large pink eyes.

"Is that so, we..."

Ma Hongjun naturally saw Xiao Wu's pitiful and pleading expression. He shook his head and smiled.

"We were just sparring for fun. This guy is pretty good, don't you think?"

Xiao Wu looked at the red-haired boy with gratitude but felt guilty in her heart.

She knew she was taking advantage of the boy's kindness.

After all, Tang San had no intention of showing mercy. The young man could've told them to get lost, or even joined forces with this profiteer to hunt them down.

But he didn't. Instead, he just brushed the matter off lightly.

Don't worry, I will definitely make it up to you.

Thinking of this, she glared fiercely at Tang San and yanked on his arm.

"Third Brother, apologize!"

Looking at the girl's unusually serious expression, Tang San opened his mouth but felt an inexplicable tightness in his chest.

But in the end, he lowered his head and muttered in a barely audible voice:

"...sorry."

But the viciousness in his eyes became more and more pronounced.

"See, teacher, that's it."

Ma Hongjun shrugged with a smile, as if he hadn't noticed Tang San's gaze.

After seeing the truth, he knew these two would become enemies sooner or later.

Besides, Tang San got angry today for no reason, it wasn't something he was going to just tolerate.

Anyway, he didn't believe that the Clear Sky Clan's mad dog would jump out to bite someone over such a small matter.

Don't be fooled by the mighty-sounding Phoenix Fire Line move. He only used it because he sensed Flender was approaching. If no one was coming, Ma Hongjun would've held back.

"Then you guys get along and spar if you like, but don't make such a big commotion again."

Flender looked at the red-haired boy meaningfully. "By the way, after you're done here, come back to the academy as soon as possible."

"Okay, teacher."

The four-eyed owl flapped its wings and flew away, leaving only the three of them behind. As for Cui Hua, she had already run off at some point. Poor girl, hopefully she didn't get so scared that she ends up with psychological trauma.

"I'm really sorry about this. Third Brother is usually a very nice person. He might've quarreled with a certain big teacher earlier, so he's not in a good mood. So... I apologize on his behalf!"

After a moment of hesitation, Xiao Wu finally stepped forward, her pink eyes filled with unspeakable guilt.

She bent down and bowed deeply without hesitation, her flying scorpion braid almost hitting Ma Hongjun in the face.

"It's alright."

Ma Hongjun's mouth twitched, and he reached out to help her up.

He didn't let them off out of kindness, but because he suddenly realized that forcing Tang San away would do no good.

Instead of letting Tang go out and cause trouble, it was better to let him act under the teacher's supervision and earn some points.

"Thank you. What's your name? We'll treat you to a meal later."

The girl with scorpion braid looked gratefully at the red-haired boy, her pretty face blushing slightly, and generously reached out her hand.

"My name is Xiao Wu—Dancing Wu."

"Ma Hongjun."

The young man nodded gently, reached out, and lightly grasped the soft hand, then they released immediately.

There's no doubt that this polite gesture made Xiao Wu like him even more.

"But you can do the meal part. Just don't bring him. I'm afraid he might poison my food."

Ma Hongjun waved his hand, glanced at Tang San's unpleasant expression, smiled at Xiao Wu, and turned to leave.

"See you at the academy."

Looking at the boy's red hair blowing in the wind, Xiao Wu opened her mouth but couldn't say anything.

"Xiao Wu, that guy..."

Tang San walked forward and forced a smile, but before he could say anything, he was interrupted by the girl with scorpion braids.

"Third Brother, I haven't even gotten started on you yet. What happened to you today? Do we know him? Did he provoke you? You even used a hidden weapon! If Brother Hongjun wasn't so strong, wouldn't you have killed someone?"

Xiao Wu looked at Tang San with a complicated expression and sighed.

"You should go back and rest. I know you must be tired."

"No, I don't know why, but when I saw that guy..."

Tang San tried to explain, but when he saw the slight disappointment in the girl's eyes, he could only swallow his words and nodded silently.

But his anger toward Ma Hongjun didn't lessen—it intensified.

Since you already have the means to die, all I can do is let you live a little longer.

Tang San stared at the red-haired boy's disappearing figure, a sinister light flashing in his eyes.

Ma Hongjun didn't know that the God King Tang had set his sights on him. Of course, even if he did, he wouldn't care.

He was now facing an even stranger scene.

Inside Shrek Academy.

"Hiss—"

The bearded boy scratched his head, circled the red-haired boy twice, took a breath, and said in disbelief:

"Are you really Fatty?"

Ma Hongjun nodded helplessly.

"Oscar, it's really me."

Hearing that familiar voice, Oscar suddenly took two steps back as if he'd suffered a heavy blow. His peach blossom eyes lost their shine.

"Are you really Fatty?"

The tall blond boy's tiger eyes were full of disbelief. He held a portrait in his hand and kept comparing it to the person in front of him. He even pinched Ma Hongjun's body like he'd seen a ghost.

"Boss Dai, that's enough. Do you have to look for so long?"

Ma Hongjun sighed and slapped away Dai Mubai's hand, which was about to pinch his chest again.

This was getting a bit inappropriate.
