Chapter 12 - The Second Invasion of the Flaxan

"Cough, cough, actually, there's also me. I fly faster than Cousin too." Hearing this, Mark couldn't help but speak up.

"You?" Eve turned her head, remembering that Mark's speed was indeed extremely fast when he appeared yesterday, and the sonic boom cloud he stirred up shattered the glass of several buildings in the city center.

While the three were chatting, they arrived at their destination and stopped on the roof of a building.

Click, click!

Then the mechanism on the roof opened downwards, and Eve led the two into the Base inside the building. The entire building had been hollowed out to serve as a Base, with reading areas, fitness areas, leisure areas, and other areas neatly divided within.

Technology products exceeding civilian levels were visible everywhere.

Russell guessed it was mostly Robot's work.

"Wow..." Walking inside, Mark marveled at the secrecy of this Base. "It's so cool, exactly like the Superheroes Base I imagined."

"Cousin, you've been to the Global Guardians Base, who do you think is better?" He couldn't help but ask curiously.

"About the same."

Russell spread his hands.

The Global Guardians headquarters was more spacious, but there was only one Darkwing who was into technology, so it couldn't compare to the higher technological content of this Base.

"Cool..." Mark, who had been excitedly looking left and right just now, suddenly couldn't smile anymore because he saw the other members of the Superheroes team he saw yesterday, and also saw Eve walk up very naturally and kiss Rex-Splode, greeting him with a kiss like intimate lovers.

"Put away your disappointment, Mark."

Russell patted his shoulder, reminding him in time. Mark's expression stiffened, and he quickly put on a smile, so he didn't show anything unusual.

"This is Dupli-Kate, Rex-Splode, and Robot." Eve turned around with a smile and introduced them to the two. "You saw them yesterday."

"Hey, it's you, the late kid from yesterday."

Rex-Splode teased.

"And you... the Tornado Cool Guy!"

Russell had changed clothes, but the black mask on his face still allowed the Teen Team members to recognize him.

Dupli-Kate seriously raised her hand to greet them.

Russell nodded in response.

"Welcome, both of you, I am Robot." On the platform on the second floor, Robot, who was debugging some kind of machine, turned his head and said, "I apologize for Rex-Splode's words, he always speaks..."

"Out of tune."

"Impolite."

Atom Eve and Dupli-Kate each added a sentence.

What kind of person would tease a guest as soon as they arrive?

"Oh, it seems I've incurred public wrath!" Rex-Splode raised his hands in surrender with a cheeky look, still maintaining his cynical appearance.

Old habits die hard.

Beep, beep, beep!

The machine Robot was debugging suddenly emitted a harsh noise, and Russell and the others all frowned.

Superhuman senses are generally very sharp.

"Hey, can you turn off that multi-ton alarm clock, Robot? It's too annoying." Rex covered his ears and looked upstairs with a dissatisfied expression.

"This isn't an alarm clock, it's an alarm." After turning off the detector's alarm sound, Robot jumped downstairs and explained the current situation to the others.

"Alarm?"

"The Flaxan... I deciphered the language of that alien army, they call themselves the Flaxan. Yesterday..."

Fearing that the others didn't know who the Flaxan were, Robot quickly explained, then looked at Russell, seeming unsure how to address him, and got stuck halfway through.

"Infinitoid, you can call me Infinitoid."

Russell drew a symbol representing infinity with his finger - an inverted 8.

Infinitoid comes from his abilities having infinite possibilities.

Using Infinitoid as a Superheroes codename seems a bit 'big-mouthed'.

But Russell felt that it was much more low-key and pleasant sounding than the codenames of his uncle Omni-Man and cousin Invincible, one being Omni and the other Invincible.

"Since Infinitoid defeated that alien army yesterday, I cleaned up the battlefield with people from the Global Defense Agency. The metal firearms they left behind decayed rapidly in just one day, as if they had experienced decades."

Robot said quickly.

"We found that their dimensional time rate is faster than ours, and the tachyon they emit is faster than our rotation speed. I specifically designed a detector for this. If they prepare to invade again, it will immediately sound an alarm."

"So that alien army is here again? What are we waiting for? Let's go beat them up!" Rex's expression tightened.

"This time I can finally help."

Mark rubbed his hands together.

The others didn't realize the key point in Robot's words, still thinking the Flaxan army would be as easy to deal with as last time. Russell gently shook his head.

"Don't be careless. One day here is like decades there.

For us, only one day has passed, but the Flaxen technology has not only advanced by decades, but they also had decades to study the enemies they encountered during the last invasion!"

"Then you're in trouble, Cousin." Mark widened his eyes, suddenly realizing.

Eve and the others were startled and all turned their eyes to him. Last time, their team only served to delay the invasion, Russell was the powerful enemy who crushed the Flaxan.

"That group of aliens don't know what methods they've prepared to deal with you."

"I'm also very curious what they're preparing to use against me." Russell folded his arms and sneered, looking towards the city center.

...

Rip!

Downtown Chicago, filled with skyscrapers.

A curtain of orange-red light suddenly lit up on the horizon, like a wound tearing reality.

As if a thousand bees were buzzing, a trans-dimensional portal unfolded amidst the harsh quantum resonance sound, its edges flickering with unstable energy lightning.

The first to step out of the portal were the Flaxan heavy armored units.

Twenty main battle tanks and combat vehicles slowly drove out in a wedge formation.

Buzz!~

The multi-ton War Machine used hexagonal composite White armor, with thick, menacing laser cannons mounted on its turret. A single shot of dangerous crimson laser vaporized the arriving police car and its occupants into molten metal.

Infantry legions with different specializations advanced under the cover of the armored units. Some soldiers in the center of the legion began spraying a kind of grey, mud-like substance onto the ground as soon as they stepped onto Earth.

The remaining Flaxen soldiers wore modular combat armor, and their handheld laser rifles Carnageed everything alive they saw.

"Aliens, that group of aliens is here again!"

The citizens' psychological trauma had not yet healed, and many people were even placing candles and flowers here to mourn the passing of their loved ones. Yet, the horrific event that just happened yesterday was repeating itself after only one day!

Everyone fled for their lives.

The entire legion advanced in perfect tactical formation, with each branch of service cooperating seamlessly.

There was no shouting, no chaos, only cold killing efficiency.

Swish, swish, swish!

Everything in the world seemed to fall into stagnation.

Russell was the first to arrive at the scene. He immediately cleared the area, moving at the speed of light. While saving people and taking them several blocks away, he also glanced sideways, observing how this alien army was different from the last time.

It could be seen that the tanks, combat vehicles, and handheld laser rifles of this army had undergone several iterations, appearing more advanced compared to before.

"It's definitely not just this."
