Chapter 2 - crush from childhood

Three weeks later, Samuel, finally satisfied with his latest masterpiece, decided to treat himself to a visit to the museum. As he wandered through, admiring the works of other artists, he stopped dead in his tracks. There, staring at a Monet, was Flora. She looked even more beautiful than he remembered.

He hesitated for a moment, then, steeling his nerves, he approached her. "Hey… are you Flora?"

Flora turned, her brow furrowing in confusion. "Um… yeah. Who are you? Are you some sort of stalker?"

Samuel chuckled. "No, no, not a stalker. I know you. You… you probably don't remember me. I'm Samuel."

Flora studied him for a moment, her eyes widening in recognition. "Samuel? Samuel Kim? Oh my god! It's been ages! I can't believe it's you!"

A warm, genuine smile lit up her face, and Samuel's heart did a little skip. He'd harbored a secret crush on Flora since their childhood days. Seeing her again, all grown up and even more captivating, reignited those feelings.

They spent the next hour wandering through the museum, reminiscing about their childhood adventures, laughing at old memories. Samuel found himself completely captivated by Flora's infectious enthusiasm and quirky humor.

As they said goodbye, Samuel couldn't resist. "It's really great seeing you again, Flora. We should hang out sometime."

Flora smiled. "Definitely! It was like no time has passed at all! We're just old friends."

Samuel's heart sank a little. "Just old friends." He had hoped for more.
