A gleam of interest flashed through Mel's eyes as her eyes darted between Lila and Maria.

Mel squeezed a little within Maria's grasp, yet her hand gripped Lila's hand firmly.
"Mel." Lila raised a brow. "I know."
"Mhm," Maria nodded as she sighed. "I know as well."
Blinking, Mel pouted at both reactions. See? First wives' behaviours.
As Mel's thought trailed off in her own grumble, she watched Lila's other hand slip onto Maria's grasp.
"But," Lila glared over Mel's shoulder, piercing through Maria's smiling gaze. "I am a petty and shameless person."
With a scowl, Lila pried off Maria's grasp before hugging Mel tight.
Her stare remained locked on Maria, as the latter merely grinned mischievously.
As Lila's palms clung to Mel's back, Mel patted Lila's grumpy head while chuckling.
