I stared out the window, watching clouds drift across the afternoon sky. It had been a full day since I'd locked myself in this room, continuing my amnesia charade. The triplets had made several attempts to speak with me, but I'd refused to see them, claiming I needed time to process my "confusion."
In truth, I needed them to accept my supposed desire for rejection so I could finally escape this gilded prison. But the Nightwing brothers were nothing if not stubborn.
A knock at the door broke my reverie.
"Come in," I called, expecting another attempt from one of the triplets.
Instead, Lyra and Elina entered, their arms loaded with parcels, boxes, and bouquets.
"What is all that?" I asked, rising from my window seat.
"Gifts, Luna," Lyra explained, setting her armful on the bed. "From your mates."
Elina placed her packages beside Lyra's. "They've been arriving all morning."
