"She's gone."
The words fell from my lips like stones, heavy and final. I—Ronan Nightwing—stood in Seraphina's empty bedroom, the scent of her still lingering in the air like a ghost. My brothers' faces mirrored my own horror.
"What do you mean 'gone'?" Kaelen demanded, his voice sharp with panic. He pushed past me, scanning the room as if she might materialize from thin air.
Orion moved to the closet, yanking it open. "Her clothes are still here."
"I've tried the mind-link," Kaelen said, his eyes wild. "She's blocked me."
"Me too," I confirmed, the emptiness where her presence should be feeling like an open wound.
Orion slammed his fist into the wall, leaving a crater in the plaster. "This is all your fault, Kaelen! You and your fucking jealousy!"
"My fault?" Kaelen rounded on him, teeth bared. "You called her a whore in front of everyone! You humiliated her!"
"Stop it!" I roared, stepping between them. "Fighting won't find her."
