Kaelen's POV
The air between us was thick with tension as my brothers and I strode down the hallway toward Seraphina's room. Each step felt heavy, purposeful. The plan we had concocted hours earlier still burned in my mind—to claim her, to make her ours completely.
"Are we really doing this?" Ronan muttered, his voice tight with conflicting emotions.
"You having second thoughts?" Orion challenged, though I noticed his own hands were clenched at his sides.
"We agreed," I reminded them both, trying to ignore the strange twisting in my gut. Was it anticipation or guilt? I couldn't tell anymore. "She needs to understand who she belongs to."
We paused outside her door. For a moment, none of us moved to knock. The gravity of what we were about to do settled between us like a physical weight.
"She's our mate," I said, more to convince myself than them. "This is how it should have been from the beginning."
