Chapter 168 -  Chapter 168: The Navy's Last Hope! The Strength of Kong!

On the battlefield, the morale of the Navy had been on the verge of collapse.

First, Admiral Sakazuki and Admiral Kuzan had been severely wounded. Then, Admiral Borsalino had been trapped. Even Fleet Admiral Sengoku—the very symbol of the Navy's might—had been sent flying with a single kick. Many sailors had already begun to succumb to despair.

But just as they were about to lose all hope, reinforcements from the World Government finally arrived!

Kong, the "Steel Bone."

A towering, broad-chested elder with tanned skin and white hair and beard shaped like the character for "mountain." The moment he appeared, the Navy erupted in cheers.

"Even Commander-in-Chief Kong is here!"

"We're saved!"

"No—we're going to turn the tables and crush these bastards!"

The once-dejected soldiers now roared with renewed vigor, as if parched men tasting sweet nectar. Their fighting spirit blazed once more.

Kong moved with blinding speed, flashing across the battlefield toward the massive wooden ship. His goal was clear: join forces with Sengoku, rescue the three Celestial Dragons as quickly as possible, and then annihilate these mysterious enemies.

Within moments, he reached the heart of the battlefield.

At the same time, Sengoku burst out from the wreckage of the shattered island, his usually immaculate appearance in tatters. His face was dark with humiliation—being kicked around like a ragdoll was an indignity no one, let alone the proud Fleet Admiral, could stomach.

Yet beneath the shame, there was shock.

He had resisted. But Luffy's strength had been overwhelming, leaving him powerless to stop that kick. It forced him to reassess the enemy's capabilities, even stirring a fleeting, absurd thought:

Could even that man lose to them?

But he quickly dismissed it.

Impossible. That man is invincible.

For now, he had to cling to that belief. Otherwise, the consequences were too terrifying to imagine.

Reunited with Kong, Sengoku relayed the orders from the Five Elder—the bald monk—to prioritize rescuing the Celestial Dragons. After a brief exchange, Kong grasped the full situation.

Though the World Government had received reports of the battle beforehand, firsthand intel from Sengoku was crucial.

"Understood. We follow the Elder's command—secure the Celestial Dragons first. No matter what, they cannot come to harm. The repercussions would be catastrophic," Kong rumbled.

Sengoku nodded grimly.

No matter how this ended, he would face severe reprimands. All he could do now was minimize the damage.

"Move out!"

With a sharp command, Kong surged forward, his target clear: the three Celestial Dragons on the wooden ship.

The former Fleet Admiral and current Commander-in-Chief lived up to his reputation. His speed alone was monstrous, his movements generating sonic booms as he tore across the battlefield.

One of the enemy warriors tried to intercept him—only to be obliterated by a single punch that shattered half his body.

Kong didn't even slow down.

In the blink of an eye, he crossed the battlefield and leaped onto the ship.

But the moment he landed, a figure materialized before him.

"Out of my way!"

Kong's roar shook the air as he charged forward. Yet even he could sense it—this opponent was on another level compared to the previous one. Sengoku's intel flashed through his mind.

Uchiha Madara.

Instantly, Kong's aura transformed—expanding like a tsunami, vast and indomitable.

With a single step, the ice beneath him shattered as he appeared before Madara in an instant.

A simple kick.

But the force behind it was monstrous.

Madara smirked.

"After dealing with that magma brat, I was just getting bored. How kind of you to volunteer."

A black orb—Truth-Seeking Ball—detached from his back, morphing into a shield.

BOOM!

The impact was like thunder, shaking the battlefield. A shockwave blasted outward, forcing sailors hundreds of meters away to stagger back.

The Navy gasped.

"Incredible... As expected of Commander-in-Chief Kong!" Even Vice Admirals watched in awe.

Any one of them would've been crippled trying to block that attack.

Yet Madara stood unharmed.

The Navy's shock quickly faded.

Of course. This is the man who crushed Sakazuki.

"Not bad," Madara mused, eyeing the cracks spiderwebbing across his Truth-Seeking shield.

Kong's Armament Haki was formidable.

A true warrior.

"Looks like you'll keep me entertained for a while." Madara grinned.

But then—

Sengoku blitzed past him, streaking toward the Celestial Dragons.

Kong's lips curled in satisfaction.

It had been a feint. Sengoku was the real rescuer.

Madara barely had time to react before Kong launched another assault, forcing him into a brutal clash that reduced their surroundings to rubble.

Meanwhile, Sengoku closed in on the Celestial Dragons—

Only for the wooden deck to erupt, tendrils snatching the three nobles and yanking them into the air.

"Hashirama Senju!" Sengoku bellowed.

High above, the First Hokage floated calmly, the bound Celestial Dragons dangling before him like puppets.
