"She will stay, " Avira declared , staring wide-eyed at me, and daring me to object one more time.
She had just announced the end result of the assembly of elders she had summoned, the same assembly she had forbidden Dylan and I from attending, and unfortunately for me, and for all three of us, Nanisca's pup was mine.
Avira had also invited her to one of the royal guestrooms, and my objections had led to an outburst.
"How about we move to the royal chambers instead while Nanisca stays in one of these rooms?" Dylan suggested, his voice was gentle, he was probably trying to avoid another outburst.
"I read in the pack's constitution that only when the marriage is consummated can the newly crowned Alphas and Lunas possess the royal chambers." Avira stated, and before any of us could say anything, she added,
"That is not happening." Her anger was directed to Dylan and I, and it only made me feel more guilty.
