"What is TwinMoon pack like?" I asked myself in my head, and then I thought of the answer.
For a few seconds, no answer was forthcoming. There was nothing I could say to him that wouldn't make him worry about me. I could feel Gustavus' gaze on me, waiting rather for my reply, or not. It didn't seem like he was bothered about my delay.
"TwinMoon pack is– home." I said, and then I hoped my hesitation wouldn't give out the fact that TwinMoon pack is not entirely home. But Gustavus didn't seem to care. He only lifted his chin slightly to acknowledge that he heard me.
I did not tell him of my experiences at TwinMoon pack because I did not want him to worry or fuss over me. It was my duty to fuss over him, and never the other way round.
"Fair enough then." He replied after some time, like one who was taking time to choose his words. But he didn't have to, and I wished I could tell him that. He doesn't have to put his guard up around me.
