Saturday, 7:30 p.m.The city lights flickered softly through the window as Zhao Xinyi and Zhou Yichen sat on the small rooftop garden behind the office.
No work. No fights. Just two people — raw, honest, and a little scared.
Yichen reached out, brushing a stray lock of hair from Xinyi's face.
"I know we've both been hurt," he said quietly. "But maybe this time, we don't have to be enemies. Maybe… we can be something better."
She smiled, eyes shimmering. "I want that too."
He smiled back, heart pounding.
Slowly, carefully, he leaned in.
Their lips met — tentative, sweet, a promise of something fragile and real.
When they pulled away, Yichen whispered, "This is just the beginning."
