Chapter 1 - 1.0

Alexina POV.

"Billy! I swear to-"

"Don't you dare use the Lords name in vain!"

"Or what? Water Boy."

"You're going to pay for that Connor,"

I rolled my eyes at the two idiots currently chasing each other around the island in the kitchen.

Every morning they do this. Why can't they just behave?

You would think as the four current leading teenage elementals, we would be more... mature? Responsible? Logical?

But no. It's only me.

Being an element is more than just throwing around what you know. We prevent danger and enforce safety. It's what we do best. From the age of five, we are educated on our power and what importance lies within us, what runs through our veins.

Our families are what you would call legendary. We are raised into this, there is no other way about it.

Think of it like Harry Potter. There were four wizards who found Hogwarts. Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.

With us Elementals, there is the Graham family, controllers of all things air. The Cooper family, controllers of all things earth. The Holmes family, controllers of all things water. Finally, the Valentine family, controllers of all things fire.

Connor Graham.

Hudson Cooper.

Billy Holmes.

Alexina Valentine.

Best friends since birth, loyal till the end and we are one heck of-

"Lexi, tell Hudson to give me back my keys!" Connor cried as he stomped his feet repeatedly like a child.

The boys look like they hold the smartest brains in the world, but in all honesty, I've never met three people who act and speak like children as nuchal as they do.

And they're like my brothers.

"You can't drive anyway idiot. God do you even have a brain?" Hudson scoffed as I took the car keys from his hand and placed them on the kitchen side.

"Yeah I do. And it's bigger than that pea sized one in your big ass head," Connor smirked and Billy nearly spat out the water he was drinking.

Will the Gods help me? Will they just help me? Just this once!?

"Shut it! We have to make it on time to the academy. I'm not being late because you're all acting like children." I grabbed my car keys and dangled them infront of their faces.

Opening the front door, I unlocked my car and already the arguments have started.

Rolling my eyes at their behavior, I calmly jumped into my black Volkswagen Golf and the boys followed.

With Billy sitting in the front, Hudson and Connor in the back, this was going to be a very long drive.

"Whats this Academy we're moving to called again?" Connor asked from the back and turned the corner from our road.

"Alistair Academy."

"Wow, sounds stupid."

"You're stupid," Billy retaliated to Hudson's comment, only causing more arguments.

"You're double stupid."

"Double stupid isn't even a thing."

"Yeah it is. Its you," Hudson grinned before holding up his hand to high five Connor who just shook his head and tutted.

"Thats what you get for telling me I have no brain!" Connor folded his arms and I rolled my eyes before swerving into the Academy car park, the huge castle like building making Connor, Billy and Hudson stare in awe.

People stared as we stopped and I got out of my car and the boys followed.

"What are they all staring at?" Hudson scoffed.

"My beautiful face, that's what." Connor beamed.

"Yeah right," Billy retaliated.

Walking ahead of them already bored of their squabbling for the day. I shook my head and continued to ignore the stares from everybody.

It says here to head straight to the office, so the office is where I'll go.

"Headmaster Wells will see you now," a brown haired lady smiled and I nodded my head standing, the boys following.

This academy is more formal than what I thought it would be.

The second we came in, uniforms were thrown at us, as well as dirty looks from multiple students.

Dirty werewolves. I can smell them from here.

Entering the room wasn't what I expected. There was a part of every supernatural ability in here, you can feel it within the walls.

While the room is simple, brown interior with most features being leather, you can't help but look for more.

The four walls are what stood out the most. Each wall being the colour of an element.

Red for fire, blue for water, green for earth and grey for air.

"We have been waiting a while for you four." A deep voice echoed through the room and all four of us immediately became on guard.

Waiting for the figure to come out of the shadows, Billy placed his hand on my shoulder.

"You're eyes," he whispered and I blinked already knowing what he meant.

When we are on the verge of using our powers, our eyes become the colour of our element, meaning my eyes began to change to the colour red.

"Calm down Miss Valentine," the man reassured me and when his figure appeared we all tensed up.

He is a tall man, very lean figure. Brown eyes paired perfectly with his tanned skin and his jet black hair combed over so perfectly, not a single hair out of place.

"Its a pleasure to meet you all," he smiled proudly and all our bodies relaxed as he fully came out of the shadows. "Alexina, Billy, Hudson and Connor." He greeted as his arm stretched forward and shook our hands.

"You're the Headmaster?" Connor asked and Headmaster Wells nodded his head. "Okay... well... what do we do now?"

"You all begin your lessons. All of your belongings have been taken to your dorm rooms. Everything you need is on this time table." A piece of paper immediately landed on the table infront of us all and Hudson jumped while Billy flinched a little.

"Ew. What the hell is air bonding?" Connor mumbled as we all began to leave the room.

"The bonding of air? Duh," Hudson answered and I rolled my eyes.

"Good luck! Have fun," Headmaster Wells yelled as the door closed and I stood next to Billy as we watched Connor and Hudson argue.

Glancing at Billy's timetable I noticed that our first lesson was the same so I pulled his arm, dragging him away from the argument that Connor and Hudson were having.

"Merging? What the heck?" Billy mumbled and I shrugged my shoulders.

"I know, I have no idea what they think our powers can do," I sighed before landing infront of our classroom.

Room 300.

Knocking on the door, I opened it slightly to reveal a class full of eyes staring at me and Billy.

The teacher made a pulling movement with her hand which launched me and Billy towards her with no magic, you can tell she commands attention.

She is quite tall, a very skinny lady. Blonde hair tied up in a bun, dressed in a pencil skirt and blue blouse.

Her body moved around me and Billy as if she was trying to figure out who we are.

"What's your power?" Someone yelled from the back of the classroom and I turned to Billy who nodded his head.

Holding out our right arms, a bright orange flame appeared in my hand while a fountain of water shot upwards from Billy's.

Eyes widened around the room and we closed our hands before words were finally spoken.

"You're both elementals."
