Lincoln was pacing back and forth. His face was unsightly.
He stopped suddenly and turned to look at Brandon who was watching him. "You… you told her the truth…."
"I had to." Brandon held a stone cold expression. "I had to, otherwise knowing what level of a coward you are uncle, you will never tell her the truth. And you see, Evelyn does not deserve to keep being in the dark."
He shook his head. "I gave you to many chances. Too many of it, uncle."
