Chapter 4 - Ch. 04

From across the phone, Diana asked, "When, and who is the culprit?"

"That... that person looks like a young master, Madam."

Luis's answer from across the phone seemed to explode in Diana's ear.

"What?" Diana's eyes widened, her body trembling with fury. "That child is still not dead?"

Diana walked over to the large window in distress, her eyes blazing with rage.

If that child is still alive, isn't he a huge threat to me? And again, the incident at that time...

"Unlucky!" Diana stomped her foot on the floor in frustration. I thought the incident had managed to kill him, but apparently, he's still alive. What should I do?

"Madam!" Luis's voice was heard again. "Madam, are you alright?"

"Oh!" Diana was startled, quickly responding, "I'm fine. Only a few rats are disturbing me and they have no effect on me."

Diana took a deep breath.

After her anger had slightly subsided, she said, "Tell me everything that happened, and send me all the CCTV recordings—right now!"

"Fine, Madam. Please wait a moment, I will check immediately." Luis then hung up the phone.

Shortly thereafter, a video file was sent to her personal email. Diana immediately played it.

However, once the video opened...

Diana's eyes widened; her heart pounded faster than usual.

The sound of a birthday song played. The camera showed a room filled with colorful balloons, a large cake, and a clown dancing in the middle. Guests laughed, danced, and toasted.

Everyone looked joyful in what resembled a kindergarten-style party shown in the video.

Diana's emotions exploded—she felt mocked by Luis. This was not the file she had requested.

Diana reached for the phone on the table and called Luis again, her fury overflowing.

"Luis, what video did you just send me?" Diana snapped, her face red with rage.

"What do you mean, Madam?" Luis sounded confused.

"Check again—what CCTV footage did you send me from tonight? Why don't I see any riots?" Diana asked, clenching her fists tightly. "Are you trying to mess with me?"

On the other end, Luis panicked. "Please be patient, Madam. Let me check the video file again!"

Luis immediately reviewed the file from the Hero Café's CCTV footage and...

"Madam, this isn't right! The video's been changed!"

"How can it be changed?" Diana asked, increasingly feeling humiliated.

"I don't know either, but believe me, Madam—we didn't edit it!" Luis's voice sounded frantic. "Maybe... maybe someone has hacked in and tampered with our CCTV recordings!"

"Bastard!" Diana cursed angrily. "Find out immediately who had the nerve to infiltrate and alter our CCTV files!"

Diana wasn't exaggerating. The video on the screen was absurd and clearly not the original footage. There was even a cartoon sound effect when the clown dropped the cake on a child's face.

Her face flushed red; she gasped for breath. Suddenly, she staggered and clutched her chest. "That boy!"

"That child is really looking for trouble with me!"

"Madam!" Luis, still on the line, was even more alarmed. "Madam, what should we do? Do I need to report this to the police?"

"No need. I'm worried it will only damage the image of the Warner family," Diana said after a moment of thought.

It might be easy to catch Lars and his accomplice with police assistance. However, Diana didn't want years of carefully prepared plans to fall apart over a minor setback.

"Then what should we do now?" Luis asked anxiously.

"You finish cleaning up the place immediately. As for the other problems, I'll handle them myself," Diana said firmly.

"Alright, Madam."

Diana furiously ended the call.

It was fine if she suffered a small loss today. After all, it was nothing compared to the wealth of the Warner family, especially once she secured all the official certificates that were now stored safely.

Diana took a deep breath and closed her eyes. "Just wait for my revenge, damn boy!"

The next day...

The sky over Libonvel City turned cloudy, as if holding back the fury that hadn't yet erupted the previous night.

In the Warner family's secret room, several people in black were busy scanning data rapidly. They worked for Diana Legiani.

On a large white wall, a digital city map displayed bright red points at various cafés, ports, and other critical locations.

In the center of the room stood a man with sharp, eagle-like eyes. His name was Franky Surya, one of Diana's most trusted men.

"So, they managed to access the main CCTV system and replace it with clown animations? Those punks are quite something," Franky muttered, half-amazed, half-furious.
