Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 – Young Master Fu Learns to Cook

As the murmurs around her grew louder, the smile on Su Nian's lips deepened. With her chin slightly lifted and a provocative gleam in her eyes, she looked straight at Su Wanwan.

Su Wanwan pulled a contract out of her canvas bag and waved it before Su Nian's face. The moment Su Nian reached out for it, Su Wanwan asked indifferently, "You want it that badly?"

Su Nian said nothing.

"To ask a favor," Su Wanwan said, tapping her fingers twice against the table with a crisp snap, "one must adopt the proper attitude."

Su Nian's expression shifted instantly. "Sister, what do you mean by this? Keeping the contract does you no good!"

"I'll give you three seconds," Su Wanwan replied coldly.

Su Nian gritted her teeth, never expecting this despicable woman to humiliate her so brazenly in front of so many people.

Without another word, Su Wanwan tossed the contract into the shredder.

"Ah!" Su Nian cried out in disbelief. "Su Wanwan!"

Her eyes blazed with fury as she stared at Su Wanwan, unable to fathom that she would actually go through with such a heartless act. That contract was the result of what she'd nearly sacrificed herself for just the day before! Worst of all, how was she going to explain this to Ye Nan?

Around them, gasps erupted:

"Oh my god… that was a million-yuan project, and she just shredded it?"

"She's insane! Let's see how President Ye deals with her!"

Su Wanwan calmly picked up her cup, brushed past Su Nian, and bumped shoulders with her.

"Move," she said coolly.

Su Nian staggered from the nudge, her delicate figure collapsing weakly to the floor.

Su Wanwan let out a soft snort. Such petty tricks didn't even deserve her attention anymore.

People rushed to help Su Nian up.

"Miss Su, are you alright? How could your sister treat you like this?"

"Exactly! She's way out of line! What kind of sister behaves that way?"

Su Nian forced a bitter smile and spoke with a trace of melancholy, "Forget it. My sister lived in the countryside for years. Some habits… aren't so easily changed."

"Come to think of it… that's kind of pitiful. You're so kind not to hold it against her."

The crowd nodded in sympathy.

"Miss Su, you truly have a heart of gold."

Su Nian shook her head gently and gave a soft smile. Then she took out her phone and ordered milk tea and juice for everyone, winning their favor with practiced ease.

Only after pacifying the crowd did Su Nian head upstairs. The moment she stepped into the office, tears welled up in her eyes.

"Nannan-ge, I went to ask my sister for the contract, but she wouldn't give it to me. She shredded it right in front of me…"

Ye Nan's eyes widened. "What did you say? She destroyed the contract?!"

Yesterday, he'd dared to speak so boldly to Mr. Gao only because they had the signed contract. Now that it was gone…

"Wuwuwu… Nannan-ge…"

Su Nian's sobs poured through the phone, stoking his already burning anxiety.

He forced himself to comfort her. "Alright, go home for now. I'll come find you later."

"Okay."

All day long, Ye Nan seethed with frustration. The moment work ended, he spotted Su Wanwan just as she stepped out of the company and yanked her into a nearby alley.

"Why did you destroy that contract?" he shouted. "You know exactly what Nian Nian gave up to get it!"

Su Wanwan gave a light, amused laugh. "It was my deal. I have every right to decide its fate."

Ye Nan's face flushed with rage. "Bullshit! If not for Nian Nian, do you think Mr. Gao would've signed anything?"

Su Wanwan raised a brow. "Then have her get him to sign again."

"Su Wanwan!" Ye Nan was livid. "Have I ever treated you badly these past two years? Even if we broke up in the end, must you retaliate like this? Do you really have to burn every bridge between us to feel satisfied?"

"Treated me well?" Su Wanwan blinked, finding his words laughable. "I was with you for two years, never asked you for money, never took a single gift. I don't owe you anything. Is that what you call treating me well?"

She looked at him mockingly. Incredible. She hadn't even come to settle scores, yet he was the one digging up the past.

Veins bulged on Ye Nan's neck, his patience wearing thin. "Yeah! But look at yourself—do you even act like a woman?"

"You never act coy, never play sweet. You wear baggy clothes like a sack every day. The moment I suggest getting a room, you act like I'm a plague!"

"What man could stand someone like you?"

"You think I wanted a damn Platonic relationship?!"

"And you claim you never spent my money?"

"Weren't you on my company's payroll? Don't tell me I didn't pay you!"

Su Wanwan pulled a bank card from her pocket and flung it at his face. "Two thousand a month. Totaling forty-eight thousand. Be sure to return the extra."

Ye Nan was fuming, seeing her eagerness to cut ties as a slap to his face. His voice dripped venom.

"No wonder you're suddenly so generous. Found yourself a rich sugar daddy, didn't you?"

Su Wanwan smiled sweetly. "Exactly. Unlike you, who never gave me a single gift."

Ye Nan's mouth twitched violently. "Su. Wan. Wan!"

"Oh, look—my ride's here. Bye now."

She waved cheekily and climbed into the car with smug elegance. With a loud bang, the door shut, and she was gone.

"Where's Mr. Fu?" she asked, glancing at the empty seat beside her.

"Young master's at home," the driver said, "being forced by Madam to learn how to cook."

Su Wanwan blinked. "Come again?"

The driver repeated himself. She finally registered what he said.

What in the world?

The Fu family had more servants than she could count—she saw new faces every day. How did Fu Liangmu get roped into cooking?

Unless… Grandma was bored and just wanted someone to amuse her?

That explanation seemed the most plausible.

"Hurry up," she urged.

After getting out of the car, Su Wanwan headed straight for the living room. As she changed her shoes, she vaguely heard commotion from the kitchen but couldn't quite make out the words.

"Aiyo! Sugar goes in right before it's done, not now!"

"Quick! Stir it! It's burning!"

"Useless! Don't you dare tell people you're my grandson!"

Fu Liangmu stood before the stove, his face dark, an apron with Doraemon on it tied around his waist, spatula in hand, looking utterly ridiculous.

"I quit," he muttered.

He turned to walk away, but Madam Fu grabbed his wrist.

"Fu Liangmu, are you trying to defy me?"

"Look at your face in the mirror—so ugly!"

"All you do is mooch off your family, loaf around at home!"

"No looks, no job… You finally found a wife, and you still won't learn to cook? What if she runs off with someone else?"
