Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

Aurelia

Morning light streamed through the large windows as we made our way to the dining room. I had slipped into a delicate robe, the silk barely grazing my skin, my hair still damp from the morning shower. Elian was at the table, his body language timid, gentle, as he moved with unhurried grace. The scent of fresh coffee filled the air, mingling with the faint aroma of his skin.

I walked in with an air of authority, taking my seat at the head of the table. I looked around at the waiting pack members, their eyes expectant. I took a sip of my coffee, a satisfied smile on my lips. "Pack" I said, my voice loud and clear, capturing everyone's attention. "My parents will be coming to visit today. The original alphas." I paused, letting the words sink in, my eyes urging silence.

Raina's brows furrowed, her eyes reflecting her confusion. "Why are they coming?" she asked, her voice echoing through the silent room. "It's not your birthday, nor is it a pack gathering." I smiled, my eyes turning to the small omega at my side. "They want to meet Elian" I said, my voice filled with pride. "He's special to me. And even the original alphas are curious."

The dining room buzzed with anticipation and whispers. I watched, curious, as the pack drew together, their whispers of pleasure over Elian's arrival. I had chosen this moment, this visit, to introduce him to them, to let them know he was mine. And mine alone.

Elian's face paled, his breath quickening, and he said softly, "What if your parents don't like me?" The thought hadn't crossed my mind, but now that it was out there, I felt a chill run down my spine. "That doesn't matter" I reassured him, my voice steady despite my racing heart. "I'm the Alpha, and if they don't like you, they'll have to face my wrath."

Elian bit his lip, looking down for a moment before our eyes met. I could see the need in his gaze, the plea for comfort. "They'll love you," I promised, brushing a strand of hair behind his ear, "because you're mine." He let out a soft sigh, relief washing over him.

Elian's soft, submissive voice floated through the air, barely above a whisper. "Only your Alpha" he responded, his head bowing slightly. A shiver ran down my spine, the reminder of my dominance sparking something within me. In the vast world of our kind, I was his Alpha, his protector, his comfort. He belonged to me and me alone.

I was lost in thought when Elian entered my office, his presence a sudden, delicate warmth. He was carrying a tray, the scent of good food filling my nostrils. I looked at him, his soft smile and timid eyes demanding a tender response. "You didn't have to do this" I said softly, my voice barely above a whisper. Elian placed the tray on my desk, his body inching closer as he neared me.

He straddled my lap, his body pressed against mine, his breath warm on my neck. "You haven't eaten this morning, my Alpha" he whispered, his hands trailing down my chest. "You must be hangry." His fingers found the hem of my shirt and he slipped them underneath, his touch delicate, warm, igniting a fire in me.

Elian leaned in, his hands holding onto the fork as he fed me the slices of fresh fruit. "Who are your parents, my Alpha?" he asked softly, his voice barely audible. I could feel his warm breath on my neck, his fingers trembling slightly. "My parents are the original alphas" I said, between mouthfuls.

Elian's eyes widened, his lips parting in surprise. "The original alphas?" he echoed. "The stories I've read, the tales they tell..." He paused, a soft smile playing on his lips. "They'll finally meet an omega worth their respect." His fingers toyed with my shirt, tracing the edges of my undershirt, his eyes never leaving mine. "Maybe they'll see you're not just some plaything."

Elian sliding the fork into my mouth, the fresh strawberries juicy on my tongue. "My parents are powerful, Elian" I said, chewing on the fruit before swallowing. "They won't accept any omega or beta lightly. But you," my hands roaming his back, "you're different. Special." He blushed at the compliment, his fingers pressing into my skin. "I'll impress them" he murmured, bringing the next bite of fruit to my lips.

Elian's fingers played with the fabric of my undershirt, his touch tracing the edges of my body. "Aren't you afraid they might be jealous?" he asked, his voice soft and hesitant. "If I take their only daughter willingly, they might turn on you." I chuckled, my hands moving to his waist, pulling him closer. "The only thing that might make them jealous is when they realize my little Omega is far too much for them."

Elian fed me another slice of fruit, his eyes curious. "They'll arrive soon, my Alpha" he murmured, his fingers caressing my cheek. "But first" he whispered, leaning in, "touch me." He fed me the strawberry, his fingers crashing into my mouth, my lips wrapping around them. I felt his pulse on my tongue, his heat, his desire. I sucked on his finger, cleansing it of juice before pulling it out, licking my lips.

Elian's blush deepened, his eyes darting away from mine. "I didn't mean that" he stammered, his hands fidgeting with my shirt. I caught them, pressing them firmly against my chest, holding him in place. "I know what you meant, Elian" I whispered, bringing him even closer, my lips brushing against his ear. "And I want you to mean it." My hand went down to his waist, feeling the heat of his body, the softness of his skin.

The knock at the door was sudden, Raina's voice urgent through the wood. "Aurelia, your parents are here." I cursed under my breath, my heart pounding with anticipation and... a hint of dread. I pushed my chair back, Elian sliding off my lap, my hand outstretched. "Come, let's go meet the original alphas." Elian's hand trembled, but he took my hand, his fingers entwining with mine. "Remember, you're mine, my omega."

I led Elian to the foyer, the anticipation building within me with each step. My parents stood tall and proud, their strength and power evident in every movement. My mother leaned in, her lips finding mine in a soft kiss. "Aurelia" she murmured, her eyes flicking to Elian. "And this must be the omega." There was a hint of curiosity in her voice, a tinge of doubt.

"Elian." The name rolled off my father's tongue, a hint of surprise in his tone. His eyes scanned Elian, his nostrils flared, picking up the scent. "I thought omegas were gone from the world" he mused, his gaze steady on Elian. "And the smell is quite strong." His eyes flashed, a hint of something sinister in them. "What an unexpected gift."

"I'm glad it isn't clear to you" I snapped, my eyes narrowing, "Elian is mine." The growl came from me, a deep rumble in my chest, a primal response to my father's tone. He smirked, a flash of amusement in his eyes. "Easy, Aurelia" he chided, his hands raised in a placating gesture. "I meant no harm. He's an omega, a rarity, a treasure, especially for an Alpha like you."

I growled possessively, the scent of Elian filling my nostrils. I pulled him closer, wrapping my arm around him. "No harm meant, darling." My father's old-timer smile was insincere as his eyes traced the curves of my Omega's body. "He's quite the catch." I snapped my teeth at him, baring my fangs. "Stop looking at him, father." Elian's warmth shook with my words, his body tense. My hand stroked his back, my touch gentle.

Raina's voice echoed through the grand foyer, "Come, dinner is ready." Her eyes flickered to Elian, a hint of understanding in her gaze, before she turned and left. My parents followed, their bodies moving with an elegant grace that only came with endless power. I held Elian's hand, pulling him along, my thumb caressing the soft skin, feeling his pulse beneath my touch. Dinner was a test.

As we entered the dining room, the air filled with the scent of rich foods and strong drinks. The clatter of silver and glass echoed off the high ceiling, every pack member on their best behavior. My parents took their seats at the head of the table, my father to the right of the head seat. I took my place on the left, Elian's warm body at my side.

Raina stood by the door, her silence in stark contrast to the noise in the dining room. She caught my eye, her gaze unwavering, her expression unreadable. I knew her well enough to know she had something to say, and whatever it was, she wouldn't wait. I stood up, nodding slightly at her before taking Elian's hand in mine. "I'll be back in a moment" I murmured, my lips brushing against his ear.

Raina led me to a small, cozy corner of the villa, far from prying eyes and listening ears. She turned, her eyes reflecting concern and familiarity. "Are you sure this is what you want, Aurelia?" she whispered. "Your parents will challenge him, and we all know..." She let the words trail off, her hands clasped together, a tremor in her voice. "We all know what happened to the rest."
