Chapter 43 - Chaos-chan... How many tropes are you going to throw at me...?

(A/N: Not sure if a content warning would be applicable here or not... I'll just throw this out there though: this chapter is pretty twisted as far as blood and gore go. David's dark and sadistic side comes out fully here and... well... Yeah, it's messy. Also, before anyone asks or comments about how David can do it with such ease, it'll be explained in the future, so don't ask... Chaos-chan would get mad about spoilers, 'kay?

Alright, let the final chapter of this arc begin!)

---

Manipulating the air around himself and Mio, David flew toward Gritonia at high speed, around 300km/h, creating a barrier around them so they can chat freely.

While he could've gone much faster, David knew Mio enjoyed their alone time so he calculated this speed as a good sweet spot.

Along the way, David and Mio chatted about miscellaneous topics such as David's favorite foods, cooking, and eating.

Mio took the lead in deciding the conversation topic most of the time...

When they were right outside of Luinas, the capital city of Gritonia, David paused their flight and took out two bottles of strawberry milk, handing one to Mio.

"We're about to raise hell so let's enjoy a moment of relaxation first. Drink this, I think you'll like it."

Mio took the chilled bottle of milk and opened the lid, taking a sniff of the contents.

"Ohhh~, it smells nice and sweet!"

David nodded. "Mm, it's my favorite drink. I'm lucky enough to get a decent supply of it so I can enjoy it quite often."

It should be noted that today's daily lottery was another Normal draw, providing him with another 12 bottles of strawberry milk.

Mio, eager to taste her husband's favorite drink, excitedly downed the entire bottle in one go.

"Puaaa~! Strawberry milk is amazing, husband!"

Mio had a big smile on her face, accompanied by a pink milk mustache.

"Hahaha!"

David laughed out loud and tossed her another bottle.

"I've got nine more bottles so have as much as you want."

Mio smiled and drank the next bottle much more slowly this time, savoring the taste and limiting herself so as not to empty David's entire stock.

After a few more minutes of casual banter, Mio said, "Okay, husband. I'm ready whenever you are!"

David nodded and continued flying for less than a minute and arrived above a large castle.

Using his Sakai, he immediately found who he was looking for.

...

In the throne room, a silver-haired young man with a purple right eye and a blue left eye was standing confidently next to a group of women.

There was a silver-haired and purple eyed noble-looking woman, a knight with strawberry-blonde hair and amber eyes, a little girl with dark pink hair and matching eyes, and an enthusiastic-looking woman with green hair and turquoise eyes.

The silver-haired woman had a cold demeanor as she spoke.

"In your upcoming battle at Fort Stella, if things look like they're taking a turn for the worse, abandon the mission and leave things to the hero from Limia. Your safety is more important than hers. I will handle any backlash faced if that situation were to occur, but we cannot lose any of you."

While her words seemed to indicate that she held the four people in front of her in high regards, in reality, she just didn't want her weapons to be lost so early on.

BOOOOM!!!

However, before the dialogue could continue, a loud explosion sounded overhead and the ceiling was obliterated, leaving only fine dust to fall on those below.

Everyone in the throne room looked up at the same time, only to see an incredibly handsome man wearing a black t-shirt, grey sweatpants, and black slides accompanied by a beautiful woman in a spider-designed kimono, holding a metal fan in front of her face.

"Mm, it's good to see that everyone is already here. We've got the princess Lily, the hero Tomoki, and the three girls he charmed, Guinevere, Mora, and Yukinatsu... Tsk tsk tsk, those three should be somewhat innocent, but as for the rest..."

The silver-haired young man, Tomoki, shouted, "Who are you?! How dare you intrude upon the Gritonian Empire?!"

The man in the sky, David, looked at Tomoki with obvious disdain.

"Have you absolutely lost your mind since coming here from Japan? If someone has the confidence to come here and do what I'm doing, it means I'm strong enough to do so. Seriously, I thought you were just a smart, yet awkward kid. Didn't know you were such a fucking idiot."

Tomoki was startled, wondering how David knew where he came from while also holding in his bubbling rage.

"Judging from your conversation, it seems you haven't gone to Fort Stella yet... That's fine, too. It's not like your involvement made much of a difference anyway..."

The little girl, Mora, interrupted David and summoned a turquoise-colored dragon.

While it's called a dragon, it looks more like a wyvern than anything...

"Nagi, take them down!"

The dragon, Nagi, jumped up and started to fly toward David, but David just waved his hand and created a compressed ball of high-temperature flames inside Nagi's skull and chest, instantly incinerating his brain and heart.

For good measure, he flicked a soul-obliterating rune at Nagi to make sure he couldn't come back to life.

Very quickly and anti-climactically, Nagi died and crashed down to the ground.

"NAGI!!!" Mora cried.

David felt bad for making a little girl cry, but truthfully, the dragon was a creep anyway so... Meh...

The silver-haired noble woman, Princess Lily, had been trying to use her brain to think of what was going on and how to get through it, faced with this unknown threat.

All she could think to do was to try and talk, hoping she could see what David's intentions were.

"My name is Princess Lily Front Gritonia. May I know your name, sir?" She asked with a smile.

David turned his attention to Lily and sneered.

"Don't think I don't know your true colors, bitch. You treat everyone around you like tools and will do whatever it takes to win. You deserve your punishment much more than anyone else, honestly."

By this time, the knights and mages in the throne room finally snapped out of their shock and began to prepare their attacks on David, as well as the silent Mio.

"MAGES! FIRE--!"

A nameless general commanded the mages to fire their spells, but suddenly, the air became unbearably heavy and the knights, mages, commanders, ministers, and everyone else in the throne room fell to their knees.

"Ah, I may be addicted to using that. I should use something different in the future, but it's too fun!" David said with a smile.

He floated down to the ground and walked up to the knight, Guinevere, before poking her forehead.

"I've just erased the charm magic that Tomoki used on you. You're welcome."

David then did the same thing with Mora and the enthusiastic woman, Yukinatsu.

"Now then, which of you three want to stay here and witness the punishment of the Gritonia Empire and which of you three want to live a better life somewhere else? It'll be a land without wars, where you can just enjoy life and focus on what you want."

David tilted his head slightly and smiled at the three women who he just released.

None of them responded and just looked toward Lily and Tomoki who were being pressured into kneeling, unable to utter a sound.

"Ah! Sorry, you may have some loyalties with them, right? Let me clear things up for you."

He then looked at Lily and pointed at her, releasing the pressure from his Reiatsu slightly.

"You, psycho bitch, do you care for these people at all?"

Lily caught her breath, cold sweat dripping down her forehead, and said, "No, I only care for myself. Nobody in the empire means anything to me and if I had no practical use for them, I'd just use them as experiments to turn into weapons. I wouldn't care if they died, I would just be upset that I lost a good weapon."

As soon as she finished speaking, her eyes widened.

"You--!"

David resumed the pressure, shutting her up.

"Yeah yeah, 'what did you do?!' or 'how did you do that?!' or something like that, I don't care to hear it again and I certainly don't care to hear anything that comes out of your mouth. You disgust me just as much as the goddess. However, your punishment is going to be vastly different from the goddess' punishment since the world doesn't actually need your disgusting existence."

He then looked back at the three girls he freed and asked, "So? How is it? Your empire doesn't care for you and the hero you used to fawn over, while I didn't ask him anything, I can tell you that he's just as disgusting as the princess. So, I'll ask one last time. Which of you want to live a better life and which of you want to stay here?"

Mora seemed to be in shock, but she muddled through it and slowly raised her hand, saying, "I... want to live a better life..."

After her came Yukinatsu, not saying anything, but just raising her hand.

Guinevere, however, glared at David and said, "I don't know what magic you used on her highness, but I will never betray her!"

David just shrugged. "Eh, I figured. Honestly, I only expected Mora to say anything. Yukinatsu, you've used innocent people as experiments before, right?"

Yukinatsu just blankly nodded her head.

"Hm... If I let you into my land, would you try to use any of my residents as test subjects or would you be a good girl?" David asked, activating the truth spell once more.

"I would probably use them as test subjects if I had the chance," she said, her eyes going wide afterward.

"I see. That's a shame, but it looks like you'll have to stay here with the others!"

David then resumed his pressure on Guinevere and Yukinatsu.

"Mora, you should know that the Nagi you were so fond of was just a creepy old man, okay? I did you a favor by killing him. Anyway, I'll send you to my land now so you won't have to witness the fun I'm going to have~."

Without waiting for a response, David waved his hand and teleported Mora to his manor where he could feel Shiki, Emma, Sif, and Yuno.

[David > Shiki] 'I'm sending a little girl over there. She's not an enemy, but not an ally. Try to convince her to calm down and ask her what happened, but be kind.'

David looked back at Lily, then Tomoki, and then he gradually swept his gaze across all of the members of the Gritonia Empire that were in the castle.

"Y'know... I really don't know how I should deal with everyone... Hmmm..."

He placed his hand on his chin and made multiple 'thinking' noises, making those under his pressure feel extreme fear.

Suddenly, David hit his fist into his palm and said, "Got it! Alrighty, first things first!"

He snapped his fingers and the knights, mages, generals, ministers, cabinet members, and everyone aside from Lily, Tomoki, Guinevere, and Yukinatsu started feeling a pressure building up in their heads.

Then, going clockwise, everyone's head started bursting like melons, splattering blood and brain matter all over the throne room.

"Hahaha! I don't know what this will do to this world's balance, but isn't it good to remove pests whenever you see them?"

David started laughing as he casually killed almost everyone in the throne room.

Lily's expression didn't change much from the struggling and pained expression she showed before, but Tomoki was different.

While he was becoming more of a selfish scumbag, he hadn't yet gotten used to the death of people.

Thus, when he saw David's explosive event, his face paled and he started shaking.

David, noticing Tomoki's changed expression, just chuckled.

"Heheh, y'know, if given time to grow, you would've become quite an unsavory fellow. Using your charm powers to take advantage of multiple women and impregnating them... Tsk, it makes me sick just thinking about it. If you charm them with magic, it's not really getting consent, is it?"

Tomoki couldn't respond and could only tremble in fear.

"No response? That's not very polite when someone is talking to you, is it?"

Unsure of what else to do, Tomoki tried using his magic eye to charm Mio who was right next to David.

"Oh~? Trying to charm my wife? Now that's just grounds for an even harsher punishment, boy...," David uttered coldly.

Manipulating the earth element, David created what appeared to be a wide spoon made of sharp rock, sturdy enough to not break, but crumbly enough to constantly have tiny pieces of rock falling off of it.

"Looks like you want your punishment early, yeah?"

He stepped forward and instantly appeared right in front of Tomoki, placing the rock spoon under his left eye.

"Let's just get rid of this thing, shall we?"

Tomoki shuddered, trying desperately to move his body, but to no avail.

Lily, Guinevere, and Yukinatsu were forced to watch in horror as David pushed the spoon into Tomoki's eye socket.

"NNGGYAAAAA!!!"

Tomoki let out a blood-curdling scream as he felt a massive pressure on his eye and the sharp rock cutting into both his eye and the flesh around it.

If anyone has ever dissected an eye before, you would know just how difficult it is to cut into one without applying ample pressure.

The fact that David could so easily slice through the underside of Tomoki's eye just proves how sharp the rock spoon was.

Due to the pain, Tomoki fell unconscious before David could even finish his operation.

So, David cast a minor healing spell that would wake him back up and keep him from dying, but wouldn't completely heal any wounds.

"You can't go to sleep just yet, okay? I'm not done yet~," David said with a cruel smirk.

He shoved the spoon all the way to the back of Tomoki's eye socket, ignoring his screams, and stabbed forward with enough force to sever the optic nerve.

Blood was spraying out of Tomoki's eye socket and his eyeball was bulging, but David just casually scraped around like he was cleaning the inside of a pumpkin during Halloween carvings, making sure the eyeball was completely disconnected, before grabbing it with his hand and pulling it out.

"How is it? You can't lose consciousness no matter what I do, heheh. Take a look, this is the eye that the shitty goddess gave you."

David waved the magic eye in front of Tomoki, smirking as he showed it off.

"You girls probably find it interesting, too, right?" He said as he looked between the three women still alive in the throne room.

"Princess Lily must especially find it interesting... Since you find it so interesting, you should take a look up-close, yeah?"

Lily shuddered, afraid of whatever David was planning on doing to her.

"Husband, may I join in?"

David paused and looked over at Mio, forgetting she was here as he was too engrossed in his punishment.

"Sure, you can play with Guinevere and Yukinatsu if you'd like. They don't really deserve as much torture as these two, but I'll let you do whatever you wish."

Mio smiled brightly as her face flushed red.

"Ah~, husband is too kind!"

Mio rushed to Guinevere and Yukinatsu before surrounding herself and the two women with dark magic, embarrassed to show David what she was about to do.

However, sound still passed through and it didn't take long before David heard crunching sounds and screams coming from inside.

"Hahaha, it seems my wife is rather hungry today," David said with a bright smile as he held Tomoki's magic eye and stared at Lily.

"Anyway, let's continue, shall we?"

David stepped forward and, without using the spoon this time, directly stabbed his fingers in Lily's left eye socket, crushing the orbital bone as he expanded his fingers with force, and gripped her eyeball.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Lily screamed bloody murder as she felt the most intense pain she's ever felt before.

She may be a psycho, but that doesn't mean she's a masochist. Pain is pain and that shit hurt.

With a fierce tug, David yanked Lily's eyeball out before casting the same spell on her that prevents her from losing consciousness and keeps her alive.

"Time for Step 2!"

He gripped Lily by the hair and, holding Tomoki's magic eyeball in his hand, shoved it into her eye socket, caving it in further.

The eyeball was about to fall out, but David quickly created some spider silk and used it to permanently attach the eyeball to the socket, though it still hung out loosely.

"It looks great on you!" David said.

Lily and Tomoki were both losing their minds, unable to think properly with the immense amount of pain they were constantly feeling.

"Hmm, something's missing..."

David circled around Lily before saying, "Ah, it's not that it's missing. It's that it's not missing!"

He came around to her front, stuck his hand in her still-screaming mouth, grabbed her tongue, and ripped it out.

"Normally this would definitely be fatal, right? I think it's a finisher in Mortal Kombat, right...? Eh, who knows..."

David took Lily's tongue, walked over to Tomoki, and shoved it down his throat.

"Equal exchange, right? She gets your eye that caused damage and you get her tongue that caused damage. It's a win-win, hahaha!"

He then went in between both Lily and Tomoki and patted their shoulders.

"Alright alright, the fun part is over," David said.

He then brought out a glass orb that was similar to the Desert Land of Repentance, but instead of a desert, this orb was filled with ice, snow, and blistering cold winds.

"You two have a long life ahead of you, haha. Your punishment is one that will last for eternity, and I can only say, I hope you enjoy~!"

Snapping his fingers, the screaming pair of Tomoki and Lily were sucked into the orb, appearing in the cold wasteland that is the Tundra Land of Repentance.

By the time he was finished with them, Mio had also finished her meal.

She wiped her lips and smiled sheepishly at David.

"Thank you for the meal, husband~. What's next?"

David walked up and patted Mio on the head before wrapping his arm around her once more and flying into the sky above the castle.

"There are too many rotten pieces of this empire, so I think we should get rid of some things. This castle houses the worst of the worst, so let's just erase it, shall we?"

Mio smiled and nodded happily. "Whatever you say, husband!"

David just chuckled and started working on the task at hand.

Manipulating the earth, he created 30-meter tall and 3-meter thick walls that encased the area around and inside of the castle.

He then scanned for any maids or civilians.

Finding only a handful of maids, he immediately teleported them out and left everyone else inside.

"If they're working in the castle and they're not maids, I can only assume they're guilty... Not exactly what I'd call a flawless cleanup, but it'll do."

David then created a massive ball of fire and earth in the air, high above the clouds.

When the diameter of the ball reached the size of the castle, he launched it down from the heavens with all his might.

KA-BOOOM!!!

Instantly, the area where the castle was got turned into a deep crater full of magma.

The escape tunnels, hidden laboratory, dungeons, and any secret chambers were instantly destroyed.

After checking with his Sakai, David confirmed that there were no survivors.

He squeezed Mio and said, "This will have to be good enough. We can't get rid of all the shit stains in this world, but we can at least make a dent."

Mio nodded. "Indeed. We can just make the goddess clean up everything. It'll be easier that way."

"Hahaha, that's true! Anyway, I think that should just about do it. Let's head back to the Cradle and check on everyone."

[Ding~!]

However, before David could open up a Mist Gate or teleport them back to the Cradle, the world froze, time stopped, and David's system went off.

[Chaos Points x 300,000]

[If you do not choose to return immediately, you will be forced to leave this dimension in 24 hours.]

David looked around the frozen world after reading his notifications and was stunned.

'Huh, so you can easily freeze the world, huh? Is this what it's like on Primary Earth?'

[Indeed. Once you go back to your world, the time freeze there will stop. Also, your rewards won't be awarded until you go back home as well.]

'Hm... Weird, but okay. I feel like I've spent way too much time here and I'm looking forward to going back home. I can use that time to ask you about what the hell happened to me earlier when I passed out.'

[...]

'...'

[...]

'Not gonna say anything, huh... Whatever, we'll talk about it when I get back.'

As if consenting to the end of the conversation, time resumed and Mio was staring brightly at David, waiting to go back to the Cradle.

David was just floating there for a moment before he remembered what he was doing and quickly teleported them back to the Cradle, appearing in the main living room of the manor just past the main foyer.

[David > Tomoe] 'We're back. Gather all the residents in the Plaza, I'm about to go back to my home world.'

Tomoe, who was training some Forest Ogres, Mistio Lizards, and Highland Orcs was ecstatic upon hearing what David said.

[Tomoe > David] 'Fufun~, right away, young master!'

David exited the living room and came across Shiki, Emma, Sif, Yuno, and Mora.

"Welcome home, young master!"

Shiki, Emma, Sif, and Yuno bowed and greeted David.

Mora was still afraid of David and hid behind Yuno, treating her as a big sister.

David just smiled and said, "I'm back. Follow me to the Plaza, I'll be addressing some things with everyone. I'm about to go back to my home world so I wanted to let everyone know what to expect."

Everyone aside from Mora were extremely excited to learn about David's home world directly from his mouth and were hopeful that they'd be able to go out and explore in the near future.

They all nodded and followed David as they left the manor and made their way toward the Dimensional Gate Plaza.

Tomoe had used the CMI to make an announcement to all residents, telling them to go to the Plaza and await David's return.

Half an hour later, everyone was in the Plaza, waiting for David to talk to them.

There were many residents still exploring dungeons so it took them a bit of time to finish what they were doing and run full-speed back to the Plaza.

Tomoe or David could have forcefully teleported everyone to the Plaza, but David felt that it would be a bit too domineering to do such a thing and didn't want the residents to feel like they had no freedom.

Thus, he happily waited in the Plaza as he chatted with everyone around him.

He talked with some dwarves about new ideas for technologies, he talked to some Alkes about plans for a hospital, and he talked with some lizards and orcs about a monthly competition for warriors that would also act as joint-training.

All-in-all, the time waiting was filled with productive conversations and it gave some residents a chance to talk to their oh-so-elusive leader.

Once everyone was gathered, David floated up in the air so everyone could see him.

He noted Makoto looking excited as he held a silver bow in his hand.

He also saw that Sofia was getting along with a few female Mistio Lizards and it seemed as if they had been sparring earlier.

Smiling, David amplified his voice so everyone could hear him.

"Just a little while ago, I destroyed the castle in the capital of the Gritonia Empire and punished the despicable princess and hero there, along with everyone that lived or worked in the castle, save for the maids."

The residents quietly murmured amongst themselves, both in shock and awe of David doing such a thing, though they quickly realized it was nothing compared to brainwashing the goddess.

"With that marks my end here in this world. That means that I'll be going back to my home world, but before I do so, I wanted to inform everyone about the changes that will take place from here on out.

"First: There are two Dimensional Gates linking the Cradle to this current world. One Gate is set up in the goddess' home while the other is set up in my maids, Sif and Yuno's, home. Now, you all obviously will not be able to go through any of these Gates on your own currently, but if anyone ever wishes to return to this world, I will allow them access to go through the goddess' home and force her to send you to wherever you wish.

"Anyone that leaves will have to go through a process where they sign up for a visa for the world they're going to. They must declare how long they'll be there and what their purpose is. When the time runs out, they will be automatically teleported back to the Cradle. This process may change in the future for more freedom, but for now, this is how things will be.

"Second: Anyone who has a human appearance will be able to apply for a visa to my home world, but they will have to stay near my living quarters during their first trip. Since there aren't many who have human appearances, not many will be able to apply at first. Some will have exceptions and can come and go freely, but for most of you, that will not be an option.

"As for those that don't have human appearances, I believe you will have to wait at least a year before you're allowed to come to my home world. This is because races with appearances like yours are hidden from the world and won't appear for another year. If you showed up, I'm not sure how many people will try to capture you and I'd rather not deal with that.

"This isn't me trying to oppress anyone, but I sincerely wish for everyone to be able to live a carefree life. I will do my best to have technologies from my home world integrated into the Cradle in the future and I'll even try to find a way to connect us to the internet. For those that don't know what it is, don't worry about it for now. Just know it'll change everything."

David looked around and saw the Forest Ogres listening attentively.

"I see the Forest Ogres have moved in as well. I'm pleased to see you all, especially Eris and Aqua. I hope you two enjoy your time here."

Eris and Aqua were surprised that they were called out, but they didn't mind. Eris even smirked a little bit with a smug look on her face, vastly different from her usual kuudere-like expression.

"I will try to spend more time in the Cradle so I can see everyone and check on the progress here, but I can't make any promises. At least until I'm able to fully merge a few things, I will likely spend most of my time in my home world. If anyone needs me, they can look for Emma and she will relay any issues to me or Tomoe."

David thought for a bit more, but couldn't remember if he had planned to say anything else.

"Alright, with that I'll be heading off. I hope everyone can continue to relax and enjoy themselves!"

He waved at the audience as he floated back down to the ground.

"UOHHHH!!!"

"WE LOVE THE YOUNG MASTER!!!"

The residents cheered and were very excited to hopefully see what David's world was like and what technologies he would bring to the Cradle.

David walked away with Tomoe and Mio by his side, looked across the crowd, made eye contact with Makoto, and waved him over.

Makoto smiled and hurriedly ran over.

"David, you're really going back now?"

David patted Makoto on the shoulder and said, "Indeed. It's a little past midnight there right now so I'll be syncing up the time with the Cradle once I get there. I'll pause time in the Cradle for a bit while our world's time catches up. So really, you won't have to wait long, only I will, haha."

Makoto took a second to process the logic behind it all, but quickly nodded his head when he understood.

"Great! I live in Tokyo, Jinbocho to be more specific," he said.

"Huh, what a coincidence. I live in Ochanomizu so we're practically neighbors."

⟪ Wait, Makoto was taken during the school year, wasn't he? And school hasn't even started yet... The hell? ⟫

[Don't question it.]

'...Okay...'

"Wait a minute, what school do you go to, Makoto?"

"Hoshinoumi Academy, why?"

⟪ Bruh... ⟫

"Just curious. Looks like you'll be my senpai, haha..."

Makoto looked surprised.

"Senpai? Wait, how old are you?"

"15, I'll be starting my first year at Hoshinoumi Academy pretty soon after we get back."

"No way... You're younger than me, but already that big...?"

Makoto felt dejected when he looked at David's muscles and towering height.

[Tomoe > David] 'Young master, has Makoto seen your penis?'

[David > Tomoe] '...He wasn't talking about that. And no, he hasn't. Only you, Mio, and Marin have. Ah, I'll get to introduce you two to Marin, how exciting~.'

"Ahem, anyway, once I go back and get some sleep, I'll head to Jinbocho and bring you out. I'll let you head back home on your own so you can explain things to your parents. If they have any questions, they can find me and ask. I'm living in the Roselia Heights apartment complex in Ochanomizu, penthouse suite PH-01."

Makoto nodded and suddenly fell deep into thought, thinking about his parents and how they were from this world.

David, noticing Makoto's shift in attitude, just patted him on the shoulder and walked off.

"You got a moment, David?" A fierce woman's voice appeared from behind David, prompting him to turn around with a smile.

"Sofia, how are you getting along in the Cradle?"

Sofia smiled and said, "It's only been less than half a day, but I'm really enjoying it. The people here are great and there's no influence from the goddess. I like it, but I was wondering if I'd be able to see your home world as well once you're back?"

David lowered his head to think.

⟪ Would it be safe to bring Sofia out of the Cradle? It's not that I don't trust her, but I only know her character from the original work. She seems like a somewhat different person right now and while the change seems to be for the better, I can't be certain. I'll have to have to check the protection spells on Marin to make sure that it will only turn men into dust if they're hostile while it just binds women and knocks them unconscious... Yeah, that'll be a good countermeasure in case Sofia does anything to her, though I doubt she would. Still, I'll do it just to be safe. ⟫

[Sofia] 'I wouldn't do anything bad! Why would I want to get on your bad side, haaa?!'

Sofia was a little offended by David's thoughts, but didn't let it show and instead just waited for David's response.

"Sure, I don't see why not. I think I still have an empty room in my home you could stay in if you'd like?"

⟪ I do have an empty room, right? Six bedrooms, one is mine, one is my office, one is my interrogation room, two will be used by Rangiku and Isane, and then an empty one... Yeah, that sounds about right. Yoruichi is in her cat form still so I can pretend she's a cat and take her to bed with me. ⟫

"Yep, I definitely have an empty room. How about it, wanna stay at my place?"

Sofia smiled and nodded, not sure who Rangiku, Isane, or Yoruichi were.

"Yes, that would be great!"

Seeing Sofia's beautiful smile and captivating face, David subconsciously smiled and patted her on the head.

Sofia was stunned for a good few seconds, but she didn't resist.

David, however, really didn't mean to do that.

⟪ Shit, I just did that out of habit. Sofia really is too beautiful though, okay? She's got this wild and ferocious charm and I can't get enough of it... Ugh, stop being perverted and just go home to collect your rewards and sleep... ⟫

David quickly retracted his hand.

Leaving being Tomoe and Mio, he teleported back to the outside world, hovering above the ruined castle in Gritonia.

When Sofia saw him pull his hand back and disappear, she felt reluctant, but couldn't say anything.

Tomoe and Mio glared at Sofia, but they didn't dare fight. They didn't know her aside from what David mentioned in his inner voice, but it was apparent he liked her so while they didn't really dislike her or anything, they would at least glare to show their jealousy.

'Chaos-chan, should I go to the ground to finish the quest or can I do it in the air?'

[Unless you want to go back to Primary Earth in mid-air, I suggest you lay down on the ground since you were laying in bed when you left. Though, it isn't a requirement and is only a suggestion.]

David quickly nodded and flew away from the castle before arriving on the edge of a desert.

He created a simple stone slab to lay down on and put himself on it.

'Okay, I'm ready.'

[Understood.]

[Preparing Dimensional Transfer...]

The space around him began to slowly twist and warp once more. This time though, time didn't have to be halted as it was just a 'simple' dimensional transfer.

[Transferring Dimensions...]

David was sucked into a wormhole again and disappeared from the desert.

David was once again in the colorful tunnel full of bright lights and stars.

After a few minutes of what felt like an awesome acid trip, David was back in his bed in Roselia Heights with the world still frozen.

[Releasing Time Halt...]

[Completion Reward Acquired!]

[300,000 Chaos Points have been added to your balance!]

[You have earned Subsystem: Sovereign's Link!]

[Subsystem: Sovereign's Link]

[Description: Who needs long-distance when you've got god-tier Wi-Fi across the multiverse? Sovereign's Link is your ultimate communication system — a cross-world connection system built for chaos, comfort, and clutch saves. What starts as a simple group chat can become a high-functioning distress radar, item sender, and teleportation gateway. Whether it's sweet texts, distress signals, or a spontaneous interdimensional quest, you're always one message away.]

[Effects:

- Dimensional Group Chat: Real-time messaging with women across worlds, complete with profile icons, custom nicknames, and emoji spam.

- Emotional Ping: When a Group Chat Member is in danger or distress, a mental SOS pings you instantly. Pause time in your current world and teleport straight to her — once per week PET (Primary Earth Time).

- Property Transmission: Send items, gear, or knowledge through the link.

- Dimensional Gate Linking (Unlocked at higher stages): Open world-spanning portals at will to visit girls or summon them to you. Great for battles, surprise dates, or harem sleepovers.

- Sovereign's Cradle Integration (Unlocked at higher stages): Girls in the chat can access your personal universe physically. They can come and go freely, with synced time options so no one misses their birthday.]

[Integrating new subsystem now...]

'Wait, what? Hold on a--!'

"UGH!"

Before David could even see what the Sovereign's Link was, his constantly-battered soul was going through abuse one more time as the new subsystem was added.

He covered his face with a pillow so he wouldn't attract anyone's attention with his screams of pain because... well, let's face it... having your soul twisted open and then getting something shoved inside of it really isn't a pleasant experience.

It took a few minutes before the pain died down and David was able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Just as David was about to ask Chaos-chan what the hell was going on, a system window appeared in front of him, showing him the last mechanic he thought he'd ever see.

⟪ Fuckin' hell... Chaos-chan... How many tropes are you going to throw at me...? ⟫

---

(A/N 2: Just so you all know, I currently have no plans for Mora, I just didn't want to kill her. She did nothing wrong and was only being controlled by Tomoki. Before anyone asks, no, Mora is not going to be a part of David's harem... She's 12... So no, that'd be gross...

The first arc is officially complete with this and the last big system function has been added. Now this novel can starting being the giant boiling pot clusterfuck it was meant to be...

Anyway, that's all from me. Even though it's only 2:11 PM, I'm tired and will be finally going back to sleep...

As always, thanks for reading this nightmare.)
