Guy was sent flying again, crashing hard into the prison cage, making it tremble violently. Yet despite that, the corners of his mouth curled upward.
"What are you smiling at?" Imu asked with a frown, a faint sense of dread creeping in. Is there something I missed?
"It's finally done," Guy said as he stood up, speaking words that made no sense to Imu.
"Done… what?" Imu's gut twisted in unease.
"My Ultimate Skill—Bloodbath Sovereign," Guy explained with a calm smile. "It allows me to analyze an opponent's abilities through their blood and gain access to their powers. Cool, huh?"
Imu's blood ran cold at Guy's grin. "That's impossible! There's no way such an ability exists!"
Ignoring him, Guy continued, "Honestly, I couldn't beat you at first. Your powers really are overpowered. But your combat instincts are trash—you rely entirely on your fruit's ability. I couldn't hurt you, so I pretended to be weak and baited you into shedding a bit of blood. You didn't even notice, did you? Now then… are you ready to die?"
"You're the one who'll die!" Imu roared and used his time manipulation again, pausing the world around him as he charged forward. But before he could even react, Guy's fist slammed into his face, sending him hurtling back.
"Impossible!" Imu's mind went blank. Guy hadn't been frozen in time—he had moved!
"I told you," Guy said coldly, "I've got all your powers now. What are you going to do about it?"
As Guy slowly closed the distance, Imu completely lost his nerve. He dropped to the ground and scrambled back, pleading, "Wait! I'll give you anything! Money, women, power—whatever you want! Just don't kill me! Please!"
"Sorry," Guy said icily as he pinned Imu underfoot, "I don't need any of that. And you have to die."
Magic circles began to glow all around them.
"No!!"
Imu's scream echoed throughout the palace.
"Lord Imu..." one of the Five Elders lay dying on the ground, blood pouring from his body. He struggled to lift his head at the sound but then closed his eyes forever.
"That took way too long!" Milim huffed, arms crossed. "Was he slacking off in there?! Waste of time!"
"Eh, I heard that Imu guy had some pretty annoying abilities," Veldora replied casually, stomping on another retreating Elder, nearly flattening him.
The last surviving Elder sat collapsed on the ground, wounds torn open again, looking pitiful—hard to believe this man had once been one of the world's highest rulers.
"Cough So… you've won, huh?" he muttered weakly, eyes glazed in disbelief. "Cough cough But… if the World Government is gone… you won't have peace either! Activate the Heavenly King!"
At some point, he had managed to grab a remote control in his left hand. He pressed the button.
Nothing happened.
"Huh?" Milim tilted her head, confused. Was this guy stupid?
"What's going on?! Why didn't it activate? Did it break during the fight? Damn it, activate! Activate!!" The Elder furiously smacked the device, but still—nothing.
"Uh, about that," Veldora said awkwardly, "my friend already went to deal with your 'Heavenly King'. I'd wager there's not even ashes left now."
"What? No, that's impossible! The Heavenly King was created to destroy the world! There's no way it could be stopped!" the Elder screamed in denial. "It was our trump card—hidden so well! And now it's gone? You don't know how embarrassing it is for me to press this stupid button while you're all watching!! Couldn't you at least consider how a villain feels in that moment?!"
Meanwhile, in space…
A colossal dragon roared into the void.
This was the Heavenly King—an ultimate biological weapon created by the Moonfolk using the full might of their civilization. Its dragon scales were nearly indestructible, its speed rivaled lightning, and it could casually obliterate entire islands with a flick of its claw. Most terrifying of all, its regenerative abilities were near-infinite, capable of healing from virtually any wound.
It was this monster that allowed the Moonfolk to nearly annihilate Earth's strongest warriors before it was barely sealed away through their combined efforts. After the war, Imu had seized its control device and used the Heavenly King to destroy a nation, solidifying their dominion over the world.
But now, the dragon looked pitiful. It could only unleash powerless, helpless roars of rage.
Massive chains emerged from the void of space, locking the dragon in place. No matter how much it struggled, the chains never budged.
"So this is the Heavenly King, huh? Looks pretty badass, doesn't it?" Rimuru's golden eyes sparkled as he examined the massive beast before him with curiosity.
