Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Recovered Memory

"Suho!! Watch out!"

A young adult of about 19 years old suddenly woke up in a hospital room.

He had dark-colored eyes, disheveled bleu hair, and a... striking face.

'I... I was on a bus... Grr'

Several fragmented memories came back to Dean's mind after trying to recover his memory.

During his groans of pain, a nurse noticed him and alerted the doctor.

And that's how he ended up asleep again thanks to a sedative.

His last thoughts were: "I couldn't finish the Elden Ring DLC!!"

...

"You seem to have recovered. I'll announce the good news to your legal guardian," declared a middle-aged man, after examining the man on the bed one last time.

It's been 3 days since he woke up in this world.

He remembered that he had a bus accident during his trip to a friend's place to help him get through part of the Elden Ring DLC.

Although he hadn't finished the DLC himself, he's proud of his skills.

And he also wanted to get some fresh air, since he'd been cooped up too long at home in his room.

Unfortunately, life had other plans for him.

'I died... because of a damn bus.'

He wasn't really worried about his family, since he didn't have a real connection with them because of his passion.

However, he worried about his online subscribers.

'They're gonna be disappointed that I couldn't take on the challenge of finishing Elden Ring with all the bosses like Malenia.'

Despite his regrets, there was nothing he could do about it.

Why was he so sure?

Because of this holographic thing in the corner of his vision.

After a quick thought to display its content...

A status appeared:

[System Notification: You are selected to become a historical rank constellation by unknown means, as you do not meet the conditions.]

Besides that, there was also a notification explaining how the system worked upon first opening the status.

"Can you give me a much more detailed explanation of your abilities??"

Suho had already inspected the system, but he didn't want to miss certain details later.

[There are a total of 4 system functions in addition to the status]

[The Masochistic Gamer Shop: It is heavily influenced by stigmas and the world linked to the constellation.]

[Status: This option allows showing the overall abilities of the constellation and creatures around him.]

[Star Stream: This option is potentially the most important and complex, as it allows the host to access all functions and abilities of a Star Stream multiverse constellation and generates a total of 99 scenarios related to your current multiverse or situation.]

[Stream Chain: This allows you to access a Dokkaebi stream channel and create your own if you wish.]

[There are also sub-options like the Dokkaebi shop in the Star Stream option, but these already have a detailed description of their function.]

"I see, so I have to check the details of some stuff myself... *sigh*"

Despite his sigh, he mentally reassured himself by looking outside the hospital through the window.

'Yeah, I'm now in a version of Korea that's more interesting than my past life.'

Thanks to the Star Stream system, Suho Kang wasn't afraid of the difficulties to come.

He just had to survive and earn coins to enjoy countless items within his two shops.

After all, he was now an awakened.

...

Finally, he was able to leave the hospital during the evening.

His uncle or legal guardian had been too busy to come pick him up, and this didn't bother Suho Kang since he wanted to leave without him.

'Suho Kang is an orphan who has been dependent on his uncle for a good part of his life.'

However, their relationship isn't really good.

One is an extremely busy salaryman and the other had long been a child searching for a parental figure.

Thus, the chemistry between them was bad.

Suho Kang ended up skipping classes and hanging out with bad company in an attempt to try to get the attention of the uncle who had raised him since childhood.

But the latter had neither the strength nor the time to deal with his mistakes.

This ended up leading to the situation that resulted in the hospital.

Suho Kang had offended a student from a very badly reputed high school and ended up fighting.

Of course, he gave him a good beating.

Despite his sickly body, he had practiced some martial arts thanks to his uncle.

Unfortunately, this person was more spiteful and a worse loser than expected.

He literally attacked Suho Kang as a group.

"That bastard didn't miss me."

Mentally, he promised himself to repay this debt someday.

Opening

Upon arriving at his apartment, he was greeted by heavy silence.

'Weird, this reminds me of my past life.'

Suho Kang lives alone like Dean did. His apartment just fulfills the necessary role for living and has a strange silence due to the absence of real human activity.

He soon reached his room.

"From my memories, I must be in Solo Leveling."

In his past life, he had already read this manhwa. Yet, he never would have believed he'd end up inside it.

He didn't reach this conclusion because of the dungeons and "Gates," but also because of a girl in his high school.

"Sung Jinah..."

She's his junior in high school since he's in his final year.

They don't have a close relationship, but he's already interacted with this girl because of indirectly connected relationships.

"System..., am I really obligated to participate in the generated scenarios?"

Suho Kang had always been a player indirectly, but he had never participated in games himself.

That would even be weird, since how could a video game player end up inside one?

[You can choose an "incarnated" to progress in "the scenario," but...]

"But what?"

[It is advised that the host activate the scenario function of the Star Stream option with caution, as it can create beneficial but also unpredictable reactions.]

[It should also be noted that the designated person will have their own evolution in the main scenario of your world... like you.]

"Ok, I'll avoid choosing an incarnated on a whim."

He ended up slowly falling asleep without tinkering further with the system, to avoid a potential problem.

'If I was among the best soulslike players, then I can face real monsters, right?'

The truth will be brutal.
