Chapter 2 - Chapter-2: The Forgotten Name

While James, Lily, Albus, and Teddy are discussing it, Ginny overhears them talking while she is cleaning the room with Kreacher.

She barges into the room, asking what they are talking about.

Teddy tries his best to hide the letter but Ginny sees it and snatches it from them she reads it and Lily notices her hands trembelling and her pace goes pale.

"THIS IS NOT YOUR PAST TO UNCOVER. Teddy, I thought you were sensible enough to understand this." Ginny Yells

"JAMES, NEXT YEAR YOU WILL HAVE YOUR NEWTS GO STUDY FOR THEM," She screams

James said, "But I studied for them already."

"As if" Albus scoffs in an audible whisper

"Shut up Albus," James said

"Enough! Both of you head down stairs eat your lunch. If I see any of you 4 trying to find anything else about this you are GROUNDED. Yes even you Teddy." She screams and stormes out of the room hands still trembling.

Ginny and Teddy stared at each other for some time before Ginny slammed the door shut.

Lily looking at both of them says "You know something don't you?"

"Whatever I knew I'll tell you tomorrow. Ginny will keep an eye on us for a while." Teddy whispers

They head down for lunch and see Harry eating already.

"Hey kids, still didn't eat come join us. Ginny what happened eat something you haven't even touched your food." Harry says not knowing what happened a few moments later.

They ate in silence and Harry said bye to everyone and went back to the ministry for work.

The children go to their rooms and do their hogwarts homework, while Teddy digs more deeper into this topic. He searches through old letters and books pretending to do reasearch for his job as an Auror.

Late night Lily wakes up to drink a glass of water. she passes through her mom's room and hears sobbing. Ginny was sobbing holding the letter which she took from Teddy. Lily sees Ginny through a gap in the door and goes in to confront her. Ginny sees Lily wipes her tears and ask why she was here at this late at night.

"Who is she, mom? Who is this girl that you and Teddy are so scared of even knowing about her? Why are you trying to hide her from us?" She asks.

Ginny bursts into tears hugs Lily tightly "Please Lily, let this go. Stop looking for answers." She says sobbing.

Lily refuses, putting a comforting hand on Ginny "Why won't you tell me? Who took her? Who is SHE? She says

Sometimes, the truth destroys more than it heals. Ginny mutters and leads Lily back to bed.

Teddy goes back to Grumald's place. He goes into Harry's study. There was a locked drawer behind parchments and quills. He opened it and saw a file named Daisy &Minerva. His hands were trembling he opened the file he saw a birth certificate named "Minerva Poppy Potter" A baby with red hair and green eyes was staring back at him. He heard footsteps he tried to hide but he was too late. It was Ginny, she slammed the door shut.

"Step away from the drawer. NOW!"

Ginny's voice is calm. Too calm.

Teddy turns slowly, gripping the file so tightly his fingers ache.

Ginny stands there, her expression unreadable—but her eyes? Fierce. Burning. Dangerous.

Teddy swallows "You knew?"

"You had no right to look through this drawer" Her voice low but sharp. Calm but fierce.

"No right?" Teddy's voice rose. "Ginny this is about your daughter - our sister!?. How can you just_!?"

"STOP" Ginny's hands were shaking as she held the file.

After a long silence, she breaks into a whisper barely audible.

"I lost one child that night, Teddy. Do you think I'll risk losing another one?"

Ginny takes a shaky breath, clutching the file to her chest like it's the only thing keeping her together.

Teddy's voice is barely above a whisper. "What happened?"

Ginny presses her lips together. For a second, he thinks she won't answer. But then—

"She was taken from me, Teddy. Ripped away."

"And when we found out who did it, it was too late."

"She wasn't Minerva anymore."

Teddy's breath catches. "What do you mean—"

Ginny's eyes are glassy, haunted."He made sure she would never remember us."

"Who? WHO TOOK HER?!"

Ginny squeezes her eyes shut. And when she speaks—

It's barely a whisper.

"Seamus."

The room SPINS.

Teddy staggers back, eyes wide.

"NO. No, that's—that's impossible! Seamus would never—"

Ginny lets out a bitter, broken laugh. "Tell me, Teddy—where do you think his daughter went?"

Teddy freezes.

Daisy Finnigan.

Ginny's voice is soft. Too soft.

"He didn't just take my daughter."

"He replaced her."

Teddy's hands are trembling. The name burns into his mind.

"He replaced her?" His voice catches.

Ginny closes her eyes, her grip on the file tightening. Then—she exhales.

"Sit down, Teddy."

"I don't want to sit down, Ginny—"

"SIT. DOWN."

The command in her voice leaves no room for argument. Teddy drops into the chair, his heart hammering in his chest.

Ginny runs a hand through his hair, shoulders tense.

Then, finally—she speaks.

"Seamus didn't take her out of hatred. He took her to save her."

The words hit Teddy like a punch to the gut.

He blinks. "Save her? From what?"

Ginny's expression darkens."From what happened to Daisy."

Teddy freezes.

Daisy Finnigan. Seamus's daughter. The girl who—

"She's not dead, Teddy. Not really."

BOOM.

Teddy's stomach drops.

"What do you mean—'not really'?" His voice is barely a whisper.

Ginny looks away as if suddenly, she's back there. The night it all happened.

A flash of red hair. A baby's cry. A prophecy no one understood until it was too late.

Daisy screaming.

And then—silence.

Ginny swallows.

"Seamus saw something, Teddy. A future where Daisy was… erased. Like she never existed. A dark force was coming, and it had already marked her."

"But before it could take her—she disappeared."

"And Minerva should have disappeared too."

"But she didn't."

Teddy's breath catches. "What do you mean?"

Ginny closes her eyes.

Then, barely above a whisper—

"Because she was trapped in time."

"Frozen. Lost. Not dead. Not alive. Just… gone."

"And I don't know how to bring her back."

THE WEIGHT OF THE WORDS CRASHES OVER TEDDY LIKE A TSUNAMI.

He grips the chair, knuckles white. "She's alive?"

Ginny nods, but her voice is hollow.

"If you call that living."

"Seamus took her before it could happen. He changed her name. Her identity. Everything."

"To keep her safe. To make sure no one could ever pull her back into that frozen fate."

Teddy is shaking now. This changes everything.

She's alive.

She's been alive this whole time.

And she has no idea who she is.

Teddy swallows. Hard. His head is spinning.

He suddenly knows what he has to do.

Late that night Teddy couldn't sleep. The name and baby he saw on the birth certificater kept him awake the whole night. He didn't know what to do. Tomorrow, James, Albus, and Lily would be off to Hogwarts. He needed to tell them about this before they left. But then he thought "I'll tell but not everything. Their still kids." He thought.
