Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2

Brenda's POV

My tears was flowing down but I quickly cleaned it seeing someone coming in again. It was already enough that I had embarrassed myself in front of a whole bunch of strangers because of James.

I realized it was James's boss, Liam. I've seen him once or twice anytime I delivered package to their company.

"Am I not invited to watch?" He said, looking at me as I looked away uncomfortably.

I tried to leave to avoid more embarrassment but his words stopped me.

"I have to say, you have such a charming wife." I stood shocked facing back to him. His eyes were still on me, seeing his blue eyes piercing deep into me, my heart skipped a bit.

I couldn't explain how I was feeling but I do know it wasn't normal. "Charming? That could have been better." James scoffed.

"She's just nothing but a good for nothing bitch brought up by…" He was interrupted when his boss raised a finger.

He stepped close to me, "It's rare seeing such beauty with a beautiful soul out there" He said as his hands traced my eyes tucking aside the hair strand staying in front of my eyes.

"Sorry to say, but what does he have on you? You deserve better than this." His words rings a bell on my head and ears.

I did deserve better than this!

If James was to knew my true identity, would he still treat me this way? I remembered the anonymous message hinting me to go back home claiming I was from a rich family.

I stepped aside from him, "I don't like it when someone get too close to me." He broke into a smile after I said that.

"Boss, don't let her infect you with her poverty disease." James said, I frowned and was about to attack but obviously I knew what he was doing.

He was trying to lick his boss shoes so he could be on his good side, even the so called bitch was beside him.

"You don't have to talk like a nuisance before getting accolades you deserve." I said glaring at him, "Give me the divorce papers."

He broke into a smile immediately I said that, "Ohh, the bitch finally decided to sign." I signed my name on the papers and drop it for him.

"I hope you don't regret this." I said walking out, I could feel Liam's gaze on me. I flagged down a cab going home.

My tears streamed down without any stop, I shouldn't have stoop so low to him. I was warned. Divorce as soon as he got successful.

The cab stopped in front of the mansion, I paid the cab man walking in. Even thought the mansion was small, but it still has rich and loxurious things.

As I opened the door and entered the living room, I saw my mother in law and sister in law sitting on the couch watching movie.

If they knew about what James had done, they wouldn't have allowed him to divorce me. I've done a lot for their family and the both of them knew it.

"Mother." I called, as she saw me, she hissed which made me stop on my track wondering what I had done wrong.

"What are you doing here?" She asked disgustingly, the tone of her voice was unwelcoming. It took me aback for a while since I wasn't expecting that.

"You knew about it?" I couldn't help but blurt out. My sister in law, Trisha rolled her eyes.

"Of course, do you think my brother would ask for a divorce for nothing." She said. My mouth dropped opened in shock.

"Aren't you a lady? Why would you want so bad for your brother to actually leave me? The question left my mouth, yes I already signed the divorce paper but I so wish to know what his mother thoughts.

"Because you both are not a fit. My brother only loves Jenna." I staggered backwards.

The disgusting words coming from them made me close my eyes before I sighed out opening it again, "I wouldn't have believed you all are bunch of clowns if I didn't have to experience it myself."

The voice was breaking, this was the same people I thought I could trust, now. They were abandoning me just because of a slight promotion.

"Nobody cares what you think about us." She replied back, I managed to regain my stand going into the room to pack my small bag of clothes.

I was free. That meant something different to me, I just needed some time to cook off alone, I walked out, they were already sitted.

"Thank God I am free of your family. You guy are terrible." I spat, dragging my box as I went out without waiting for their response.

I managed to get to a hotel booking a room for a week with my last paycheck, I dropped the luggage beside the bed sitting on it.

"What a lousy day!" I thought changing into a more simple and casual outfit. I decided to stroll out to the hotel club wearing my flip flops as I went to the private bar.

Getting in, everywhere was buzzing but I was less interested in all the activities going on, I went straight to the counter requesting two strong liquor as I started drinking.

I didn't realize I had finish three bottles of strong vodka as I gulped down the last glass, I was feeling intoxicated and dizzy.

"One more bottle." I requested.

I heard a familiar voice behind me, "Don't you think that is too much for a pretty lady like you." I faced back.

It was him. Liam, James's boss but that wasn't it, he was no longer looking serious but was now wearing a casual cloth making him look seductive.

"I didn't realize even busy business man can have time to come to a club." I smiled a bit, I hicupped feeling nauseated.

He sat down beside me, his eyes trailing around my body, "You look seductive." The way his lips moved, looking sexy.

I couldn't stop myself, jumping off from my seat as I throw myself into his arms, "Fuck me".
