Indeed, this was the Watcher, the Watcher assigned to the moon. This guy has been watching the Earth since the dawn of its creation. Gan was initially stunned because of his sudden appearance.
They stared at each other for a while before Gan finally spoke.
"Uatu, right? You must be the Watcher who watches the Earth. It's nice to meet such an ancient Cosmic Being."
"Are you from Earth?" The Watcher already knew the answer to this. He had seen Gan coming to the Moon from Earth, but he stayed invisible until now.
Despite his seemingly emotionless demeanor, Uatu was genuinely taken aback. The reason for his surprise? His Cosmic Awareness was unable to identify Gan's source or glean any details about him.
Even the Celestials wouldn't have the ability to hide what they've done in their lifetime from him.
It was almost as if this guy didn't exist at all!
Gan didn't attempt to read such an individual's mind, or it would be detected. However, there were a few things he wanted from this Watcher.
"Yes, I'm from Earth. I've heard stories about the oathkeepers like you." Gan walked toward before levitating his way.
Gan wanted to shake his hand.
"... ..." Uatu
Uatu was silent for about ten seconds before modifying his size and shaking Gan's hand. Right then, Gan felt Uatu's power surging into his body before forming into an energy core. This power was foreign and completely different from anything he's received so far.
"Uh, you don't mind if I make a small base up here on the moon, right?" Gan coughed and asked.
"That's for you to decide; it's not my place to stop you from doing what you want here," Uatu answered humbly.
This was the situation; his sole responsibility was to observe while under oath. He wasn't there to prevent anyone from going where they chose. However, if someone attempted to alter or disrupt the timeline, as Jean Grey was on the verge of doing, he would have to intervene.
This is only one of the many things he would act on. Gan knew he would break his oath at some point in history, particularly when it came to Ultron.
"Alright, thanks, my man! It was nice meeting you, Uatu." Gan was happy about this encounter with his first cosmic entity, which allowed him to gain a lot of amazing abilities!
He didn't waste time or delay the making of his base. Gan went to the other side of the moon and proceeded to create his base. He made sure not to build his base where the Inhumans' city would be placed.
'Why can't I detect this guy, even when he's on the other side of the moon?' Uatu couldn't understand this. When this guy was out of his sight, he couldn't detect Gan for some reason.
He continued to attempt to understand the situation, yet he was unsuccessful. Uatu sensed that Gan meant no harm, but even though he might present a danger to others, he was unable to confront him due to his oath.
Even if he weren't under oath, Uatu wouldn't do anything unless he was personally attacked.
On the other hand, Gan created his base, but most importantly, it was time to awaken Uatu's powers.
Gan was naturally excited. Uatu was the easiest Cosmic being to gain access to. This was a Cosmic entity with abilities that said hierarchy could use exclusively.
"Awaken!" Right then, a burst of energy engulfed Gan's body. His eyes, his hearing, and many other abilities were enhanced once again.
If Gan had amazing eyesight and hearing before, then it could be said that these things had increased drastically.
Gan could now see the past and present; he saw it all. The information related to the Earth was especially seen.
Gan witnessed human trafficking; he observed drug traffickers, he came across individuals confined in concealed prisons, he discovered numerous secrets that many sought to conceal, he uncovered information on everyone's phones, the internet, government secrets, disloyal wives and husbands who concealed the truth of their unfaithfulness.
The stuff he saw was too cruel and almost made him vomit up his breakfast. His stomach churned witnessing all these events unfold at once. He actually had to close his eyes and take deep breaths; after all, he was still human in soul, mind, and heart.
Gan was shown all the mysteries of the planet and its inhabitants. In a state of trance, he absorbed an overwhelming amount of knowledge. Without the abilities granted by the Mind Stone, Professor X, Jean Grey, and the Watcher, he would not have been capable of processing it all.
This could have caused him to go brain-dead or, at the very least, faint. The Universe became an open book to him.
This was no doubt the power he had gained from Uatu, Cosmic Awareness. Gan could only see a bit about the future, but little information was revealed about it.
'I...I can monitor different Earths in the Multiverse!' He was still taking in information, and before he knew it, an hour had passed him by.
Gan didn't feel a headache and could now, surprisingly, take so much information without pain.
'I've also gained access to Cosmic Power, Time Manipulation, Immortality in a sense of living forever and not dying through time.'
There were also powers such as Nigh-Omniscience, Self-Subsistence, etc.
"My Time Manipulation probably isn't as good as the Time Stones, but it should be enough to make large structures permanent."
Gan's newfound base was smaller than the one he had created in the Sahara Desert.
Same old, same old.
Gan created a sleeping quarters, a special room for his inventions, a cafeteria, and so forth. He used his special ability, Narrative, to block anyone from seeing into his base.
"My main goal for getting strong is to explore the Omniverse, the Multiverses outside of the Marvel universe."
This would include visiting apocalyptic worlds, Star Wars, Dungeons & Dragons, The Walking Dead, and other realities outside.
Gan first needed to have fundamental control over all 5 aspects. Space to reach his destination, Time to control what time he arrived there, Soul and Mind to shuttle himself there without sending his actual body.
"Hmm, this is good, this is really good." Gan formed a sword made out of Cosmic Energy and waved it around.
The people who wielded Cosmic Power were the Eternals, Cosmic Entities, etc. One mustn't get Cosmic Power and the Power Cosmic confused with each other. The Power Cosmic was wielded by Galactus exclusively, and it had unlimited potential.
"I need to learn the Power Cosmic; this power is simply too good to turn away from." The Power Cosmic was capable of limitless potential. Not even Eternity and the Living Tribunal could use it.
If Gan could gain access to such power, he could create sentient beings. True living, sentient beings with their own free will. Of course, Gan could operate their mindset in certain ways, such as the created entities' values and culture.
"Galactus isn't someone I can simply try; it's better to be safe than sorry." Gan decided to wait until he could copy his abilities through sight to cool down.
Once again, Gan turned and began to create Lanturn Central Batteries. He also created the Dragon Balls, but they didn't have the function of the true Dragon Balls.
"I'm missing one prime ability to make these dragonballs functional." If he could copy Scarlett Witch's powers and the Power Cosmic, these Dragon Balls could become functional. If he could imbue them with the Power Chaos from Scarlett Witch, they could be usable.
Gan placed these artifacts in a glass display case where his soon-to-be artifact would be placed. He could feel his strength growing even now. Gan felt power flowing into his body from Earth.
"It seems I'm getting stronger because of my cousins. Due to their training and understanding of their abilities, I'm growing by doing nothing."
Gan was elated. It looked like his gifts to his cousins were paying off. He wanted to spread his influence with these Lantern Rings across the Universe before spreading them throughout the Marvel Multiverse.
"I need to wait before fully awakening the full power of these Central Batteries. Before that, I should create the rings that feed on Fear, Hope, Will, Rage, Love, Greed, and Compassion."
Gan wanted to send these rings into the universe to find people who are the best in these fields. Those who are skilled at instilling and experiencing these emotions are the best candidates for leadership in these corps.
Gan imbued these Rings with a Healing Factor just in case they broke. The Lantern Rings had the standard abilities, which involved energy shaping through thought. Wearing the ring granted immunity to soul, spirit, and mental attacks.
"Lantern rings usually required a battery to recharge them over time. However, these are considered Progenitor rings, so they will have an infinite energy source." These rings were imbued with newly acquired cosmic energy.
Of course, it didn't have all the power related to Cosmic energy, just energy blast and shaping through said emotion.
After the rings had gathered sufficient emotional energy, Gan would call upon them. It is important to understand that the radiant energy core within these rings housed a vast space within.
If he could gather enough emotional energy within these rings, he could create an aspect of that emotion.
"I could develop the aspect once I acquire the Power Cosmic. Nevertheless, it won't possess the original power I aim for. I must gather these emotional energies and then imbue them into the Central battery, which will contain the aspect of that specified emotion."
Gan used his abilities to search for a specific type of person. He had the power to manipulate fate and destiny, to aid the rings in their search for the best candidate.
So far, these rings all have the same abilities, but that will change later once Gan makes some modifications.
"It's time, search for your respective chosen, go!" Multiple small portals opened up, and the rings levitated before flying through these spatial holes.
Each radiated Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet light. Gan felt a sense of satisfaction in all of this. These rings had a special appearance compared to the originals from DC.
Gan sent out the positive rings first; he didn't send out the negative emotional rings for now. He kept the red ring of rage, the yellow ring of fear, and the orange ring of greed in a glass casing.
It was wise to send out the positive rings initially, preventing any unnecessary conflicts. Gan believed that the ring bearers of Rage and Fear might clash with the bearers of Will and Hope.
"This type of clash will happen eventually, but it shouldn't happen now. I'll hold onto these rings for now and release them a month or two later.
"Most of my ideas come from different realities. I need to create my own inventions, and I so happen to have a few. Unfortunately, I lack the ability to create things on that scale right now.
With a sigh, Gan turned back to Earth. Should he deal with these human and drug traffickers?
"I should probably go home for now and deal with these people later or tomorrow. I've been away too long; it won't be long before they come check on me."
Gan's results today were the greatest; he quickly opened a wormhole and travelled to his room.
