Chapter 9 - The Singular Spot

Anjani pointed towards the screen and said, "It seems that the CB-1's electromagnetic waves aren't random like they're supposed to be. It's being directed towards one singular spot, like something's pulling the body towards it."

Naren asked her with a tinge of worry, "Can it crash into Earth?"

Anjani looked at him with an honest look. "If it comes in the gravitational pull of the Earth…anything is possible."

"Where is the singular spot?" Ishar asked.

"Me, along with my team of scientists and researchers tracked it down to somewhere in the Arabian Sea, a bit northwest of Kerala." Anjani said.

"General, my team is currently in Kerala to track down some suspicious activities. If I have permission, I could go there and take a look, to help with the research." Ishar suggested, looking towards Aarush.

"That's a great idea! Take Anjani and Naren along with you." Aarsush said, smiling brightly.

Ishar and Naren both looked at each other as if someone had died.

"Sir, I can help the team by staying here and helping our scientists," Naren said gloomily. Ishar nodded beside him.

"Nonsense!" Aarush laughed.

"I'm the Army General, don't you think I can spot excuses when I hear one? You both are going, and that's final."

Well, it was worth a try, Ishar thought.

Naren seemed to be thinking along the same lines.

"But what about my team, sir?" Anjani asked.

"You'll need some people on ground control and analysis. Don't worry, they'll help you out by staying here."

Anjani smiled and nodded. Saluting each other one last time, with a passport and a ticket in their hands, the three of them turned to leave for Kerala.
