The Atomic Batteries inside someone's personalized Meltdown exploded, shattering the hilt and the blade into pieces. Fortunately, nobody was hurt, not even the owner of the weapon.
The non-underling class of recruits was conducting weapons testing to see if their self-forged Meltdowns are safe to use in combat. Suffice to say, most of them weren't up to standards.
But that's what they expected. Most of the recruits gave up on forging and crafting. They decided to use the already-functioning, standard Meltdowns that the Zoldier Forces always have at their disposal. They guessed it would have to do for the next test, and so some of them already left the testing grounds outside the classrooms and went back to their dorms.
Some stayed because they still want to check if their customized Meltdowns are up to standards, like Zoey and Stella. Others just want to watch the batteries explode.
