I couldn't carry my luggage myself because of the long staircase, then I remembered there is a damn elevator according to the girl. Yes, an elevator in a hostel. I quickly dragged my things into the elevator and pressed my floor button. The elevator closed and started moving. Immediately it got to my floor. It stopped and the slide opened.
Dragging my luggage down the hallway, I located my dorm and knocked gently.
The door swung open to reveal a blonde girl, who barely spared me a glance before walking away.
Well, okay then…
I walked in and met another girl that looked like a nerd sitted on a chair and reading a book beside the bed. It was a bunk bed and she sat beside the down bed. She looked briefly at me, then continued reading her book.
I stood in the middle of the room, looking around, everything was just breathtakingly beautiful. The room is so big that it can contain six people. There is another bunk bed at the other side of the room.That means there are four of us in the room.
"Are you the new roomie?" A voice asked. I turned sharply to the direction of the voice and it was the nerd girl. I thought she snubbed me before.
" Yes". I replied.
" Well….welcome to our room". That's your bed." She pointed to the top bunk above hers. Oh, there are stairs for climb built with the bunk. Thank goodness.
I quickly unpacked and freshened up. A nap seemed like a good idea, until hunger woke me up.
I squinted my eyes shut from the sharp ray of sunlight that penetrated through the fancy drape.
Then, I turned my back to the sunlight and slowly opened my eyes.
I looked around my environment and remembered I am in my new school. I raised my body from the bed and started coming down through the bunk stairs slowly.
As soon as I reached the floor, my gaze met with the nerd girl gaze.
She smiled at me.
"Good afternoon, I am Emily Brunt and I can see you enjoyed your little nap. She said teasingly.
"Yeah". I admitted
"I am Adams Bella". I added.
" Wanna grab lunch?" She asked.
My stomach growled loud, I blushed in embarrassment.
Emily laughed. "I guess the answer is yes".
Come with me. She said and started walking out and I followed behind.
She took me to the amazing cafeteria which was so classic and was already filled with some students. She led me to a table.
Order anything you want, it is free. She said and I gasped.
"F…ree? I stuttered.
" Yes, she replied.
Wow, that is awesome. I took the menu from the table and scanned through it. And I am literally searching for pancakes with syrup. I think I am obsessed with it. Emily ordered the same thing I ordered.
The attendants came with our order and I got my stomach filled.
"So, what is your gift?" She asked and shoved a piece of pancake into her mouth.
" According to the findings, I am a witch. I can read minds and cause misfortune and injury to others by non-physical and uncanny means". I replied.
"Wow! You have a double gift. That is great". she exclaimed.
" Well, I am a manipulator. I can use my gift to control anybody's mind, to do whatever it is in my mind". She said,
My mouth dropped open. "That's insane.
"And I think we are in the same class". She added.
"How did you know?" I asked her personally.
"I am also a new student and I resumed a week before you" She replied with a grin.
"Let me take you around a few areas of this school". she said.
I was so excited for this. We both stood up and before I could take a step, a sudden commotion erupted. Girls were screaming, running towards the cafeteria entrance.
"What's happening?" I asked.
Emily's expression turned dreamy. "He's here."
"Who?"
Instead of answering, she grabbed my wrist and pulled me toward the crowd. The students parted as if hypnotized, revealing a guy walking in, there are two other guys behind him.
Well.. They are not too bad themselves.
And oh my god.
He was beautiful.
Tall, lean,tanned skin,jet-black hair, forest-green eyes. He carried an effortless aura of danger and allure.
His eyes flicked briefly to mine before he looked away, uninterested.
The girls swooned as he walked past, oblivious to the chaos he left in his wake.
Sofia's POV
I stared at myself at the front of the standing mirror and admired myself. I looked beautiful and captivating. I wore a tight revealing dress in order to go and seduce the only guy I have been in love with for so many years in this school.
Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Sophia Wilson, and I am the only child of my family.
My parents are one of the biggest shareholders of this school. This made me the queen of this school. Every student in this school respects me and gives me the respect I deserve. Never mess with me. Everybody knows better not to mess with me.
I am so happy today, because I would be resuming school tomorrow. I missed my Mr handsome.
I said dreamily.
Author's Pov
An announcement has been made earlier through the school electric alarm speaker about the orientation program for the new students.
The auditorium buzzed with chatter as new students filled the seats. Bella sat beside Emily, her eyes scanning the room curiously.
Emily started whispering to her.
"Can you guess the person who would address us for the orientation program". She asked and smiled teasingly.
Bella looked at her confusingly. " How did you expect me to guess, when I don't even know anyone yet, except you ". She retorted.
"Okay..Okay..I did my findings, and I found out it's Leo Beckham. Remember the handsome dude that caused commotion at the cafeteria". She responded and Bella eyes flicker in remembrance.
"Oh! Leo is his name". Bella mumbled and stared at Emily who was busy smiling dreamily.
Bella shook her head and glanced around until they landed on him, the captivating figure from the cafeteria. He walked in gracefully, his aura exuding of power. He was in the company of his two friends again.
He stood at the podium, his presence commanding silence.
"Welcome to Special Ones Boarding School," the friend by his right hand began, his voice smooth. "Alpha Leo Beckham head of the Student Council wish your stay here to be fruitful."
"This institution is a haven for those with... unique abilities. Embrace them, but remember, control is paramount." The second friend added.
His gaze swept over the crowd, momentarily locking with Bella's.
Bella freezed under his gaze, then lower lower her gaze when an unknown feeling crept into her.
A smirk played on his lips.
The first friend continued, "Orientation packets are available at the exit. Familiarize yourselves with the rules. Ignorance won't be an excuse.".
"That would be all for today. You can all leave." The second friend dismissed them.
As the assembly dispersed, Bella approached the exit, only to looked back and her gaze met with Leo's.
A sudden chill ran down her spine. She quickly faced front and walked in a fast pace with Emily running behind her trying to meet up with her pace in the midst of the crowd.
