Chapter 0 – When the Memory Hummed
The dorm was silent. But not quiet.
Somewhere behind the glass, the rain danced like it had something to say—
something Zephryn wasn't ready to remember.
He sat on the edge of his bed, scarf loose around his neck. The one Solara wrapped.
His hands were still trembling. Not from fear.
From restraint.
The glyph on his chest pulsed faintly, like a whisper trying to wake a sleeping god.
"Not everyone's meant to remember," he said under his breath.
But then the hum came back.
Low. Soft. Dangerous.
Bubbalor's shell lit blue in the dark.
Outside the window… something moved.
A flicker of white. A sound like glass cracking beneath thunder.
Zephryn didn't speak.
He just stood up.
And the scarf began to glow.
