Because of all the crying I did yesterday, I didn't even realize I had fallen asleep. I woke up in the morning, and now here I am in the bathroom, staring at my eyes swollen from crying.
Good thing there's a small fridge in my room, so I grabbed some ice and rubbed it under my eyes to help reduce the swelling a bit.
Even though I'm still trying to process what happened to me, I haven't forgotten what I did to Zion yesterday. I'm honestly nervous about what happened. I don't even know where I got the guts to throw my bunny slippers at him.
I looked down at my bed, and when I saw the slippers, I remembered the staff's reaction and Zion's face all over again.
"But it's his fault anyway! Why would he throw the food away just because I'm allergic to chicken and seafood? I don't like wasting food!"
I look like a fool here, talking to myself. Good thing I'm in the bathroom right now.
"Madam!"
I sighed and looked at myself in the mirror. It's always "Madam." There's not a moment they don't call me that.
I muttered, "Thank goodness."
At least the swelling is gone now.
When I stepped out of my room, I found the butler smiling at me.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Are you okay, Madam?" he suddenly asked, which surprised me. Why would he ask that?
"…" I didn't say anything and just stared at him. I could feel him getting nervous, so I smiled.
"What's your name?" I asked.
His eyes widened in shock at my question.
"I'm Enrod. The butler of the Cartridge Household!" he exclaimed. "Are you really okay, Madam?"
I just sighed.
"I'm okay," I said. "But why do you all keep calling me Madam?"
I heard him gasp and he stared at me intently.
"Madam! You're our headmistress, so of course we call you that!"
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at what Butler Enrod said. I've never even been close to a guy, and now I suddenly have a husband? And it's the villain? What am I supposed to do!?
I was pulled back to reality when he called me again.
"Madam, Sir just went out to work. He told me to give you this," he said as he handed me a card.
My eyes widened at what I saw. It's a black card!
He explained, "This is Sir's supplementary card, and he asked me to tell you that you can spend it with no limit, Madam."
I held the card with trembling hands. I don't know why, but the card felt heavy in my hand.
"How..?" I didn't finish what I was going to say because Butler Enrod smiled at me.
He replied, "Sir thought you were bored."
I still don't understand what that villain meant by saying I was bored.
He added, "Don't worry about spending, Madam. Sir said you can use it however you like."
I furrowed my brows at that.
How could Zion think I was bored? I'm not bored at all! I'm still trying to figure out why I ended up here! And "spend however I like"? I'm a frugal person! I can't just spend like that!
"Why would he think that?" I asked Butler Enrod, puzzled.
He smiled, "Because of what happened... last night."
I simply nodded. So that's why he told Butler Enrod to give me the supplementary card—because he thought I was bored. Butler Enrod excused himself and said he had something else to do, so now I was alone in this huge room.
I looked around and finally took a good look at where I was. I had a queen-sized bed, a huge makeup desk, and it was fully stocked with cosmetics.
Then, my eyes caught a familiar-looking bag, so I grabbed it and checked what was inside.
"This bag really resembles the one I used before I died," I whispered softly.
I dug inside the bag, and my eyes widened at what I found.
"What…?" I couldn't even finish speaking because I saw my old ID.
I gently placed Zion's supplementary card on my bed and picked up my ID. I stared at it closely—it really was my bag. My ID was there, along with receipts, but all the names had changed to "Ally Cole-Cartridge."
My face was still the same as in this world. It felt like my identity as Ally Cole had completely disappeared.
Tears started to form again as I rummaged through the contents. I found my phone, though it was cracked and had no battery. I hadn't even realized it got broken before I came here. I put everything back in the bag and stared off into space.
I sniffled, "This only means that I'm really dead."
I shook my head as I felt myself about to cry again. I didn't want my eyes to swell up again—they'd just recovered from last night.
"Madam!" I heard Butler Enrod calling from outside, "You have to eat, Madam!"
I exhaled and gently picked up Zion's supplementary card, holding it tightly like my life depended on it.
I quickly took a shower and placed the card in the dry part of the sink where it wouldn't get wet so I could keep an eye on it. After I finished, I stepped out and went into the walk-in closet. What I saw there made my eyes widen in shock.
All her clothes were exactly my style! It's like we have the same taste, hobbies, everything—except maybe our personalities.
I chose to wear denim jeans and a white sweatshirt. I did a half ponytail with my hair and wore flat shoes.
I grabbed a medium-sized bag, carefully placed the card inside, and headed downstairs. I could feel the staff's eyes on me, but I ignored them.
"What happened to Madam Ally?"
"She wasn't like this the past few days, was she?"
I silently listened to their gossip, but when I turned my head and looked at them, they immediately bowed their heads and fell silent.
Now I'm even more curious what their gossip about me actually means.
