"Your world is about to change." A voice whispered to me. I turned around but everywhere was dark and I couldn't make anything or anyone out.

"Who is there?" I called out into the darkness.

"I'm a friend Arin, no need to be frightened." The soft voice called out to me.

"What do you want with me?" I questioned, my senses on high alert as I could feel the person moving around me in circles.

"I don't want anything from you. I'm here to help you." The woman revealed and my brows furrowed in confusion.

"Help me?" I asked.

"Stop!" With a scream, Siena flung herself between Jaxon's smoking body and the Ancient Luna. "I'll work out a deal for you!"


With my hands still glowing with dark power, the Ancient Luna hesitated. "A bargain? How funny. What are you able to give me?"


"Myself," Siena said, her voice trembling but resolute. "Please take me rather than Arin. I genuinely wanted to be Luna, and I'm stronger and the daughter of a Beta."


I was screaming inside my head. *Siena, no! *Don't do this!


But the Ancient Luna had complete control of my voice.


Through my mouth, the Ancient Luna said, "Interesting." "But since I already have the ideal vessel, why would I want a weaker one?"


"Because Arin is fighting you," Siena said, looking straight into my eyes. "I see her struggling in there. I won't fight, though. I'll give you total authority."


The Ancient Luna paused, and I felt her hold on my thoughts relax for a second. I was able to get one word out at that point.
