Synopsis
Too divine to be human. Too flawed to be angelic. Too pure to be demonic. Sometimes the deepest pain isn’t nothing but existing without belonging. Seven was never meant to exist. Born of a forbidden union, he is a walking contradiction in the eternal war between Heaven and Hell—cursed to walk between realms, plagued by visions, hunted by spirits, and pulled into battles that were never his to fight. Thrown into the heart of a hidden war, Seven joins a secret order of gifted warriors and relic-bearers who fight back against the infernal breach leaking into Earth. Beside him stand friends—scarred souls whose hair turned white from what they survived, yet who never turned from him. And Zephyr, a mischievous spirit wearing human skin, who claims to protect him… but harbors secrets of his own. But as spirit becomes matter and flesh, vessel... Seven must ask what’s more dangerous—the demons outside or the ones buried within? Can he trust the Cativan, who shrouds its faith in secrecy? Can he trust Zephyr, who walks the thin edge between redemption and ruin? Can he trust his friends, or worse—should they trust him? Because the darkest enemy may be a soul convinced it is unworthy of love. And when Heaven won't claim him, and Hell can't control him… The final decision—to fall or to rise—will be his alone.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

Saturday, 7 July 2007, 7:00 pm.

Rumble!

The sky glowed faintly, as traces of sunlight gradually faded into a deep blue. The last few remnants stubbornly clung to the horizon, but ominous clouds quickly obstructed the faint glow.

A thick and humid silence hung in the air, and the world below stiffened, making it appear as if nature itself was holding its breath.

A strange premonition spread out, making everything within its range of effect feel charged.

"Ahhhhhhhh!!" A pained scream resounded, disrupting the ghostly silence as a flash of lightning split the sky as if it was trying to resonate with the shout.

Accompanying the red flash was a momentarily eerie brightness, and a blast of thunder followed suit, rolling across the landscape in a deep, rumbling growl.

"You have to keep pushing!" A female voice screamed, fighting relentlessly for her voice to overcome the drumming sounds of raindrops against the rooftop.

Having been a midwife for close to 30 years, she wasn't going to let a storm disrupt this delivery.

"Arrgghhhhhh!" She forced out, raising her upper body to garner more strength. The flashes of lightning reflected on her glistening face, which was covered with sweat. Tiny strands of hair stuck to her face as she fell back on the bed with a thud.

The wind picked up, whipping through the trees outside, bending branches and tossing window shields as little raindrops slipped through and gradually gathered into a puddle on the floor that reflected the raging storm.

Furniture trembled as frost coated its edges.

The streetlights outside flickered, and the symphony of rumbling, crackling, sc

reaming, and drumming sounds drowned out everything else. It was quite the scene.

...

Meanwhile, in a different compartment in a deep and mysterious vast expanse of chaotic landscape, things were falling apart, too.

All underworld creatures that gathered and gazed at the projection of a particular lady on earth in labor, held their head and crumpled to the ground, shouting at the top of their voices.

They writhed, broke, wiggled, and twisted.

With every shout of agony that escaped the woman's mouth, their pain intensified a hundredfold. An inky, sticky substance oozed from their body holes, and a few weak ones among them vaporized into thin air.

"Make it stop!"

"Arrgghh!"

"What is that?!"

"Help us!"

Unsettling voices that grate against any shred of humanity rose one above the other, creating an eerie cacophony of sounds and silence that goes against any known fact and laws of nature and science.

The few able to handle the pressure stood straight with their mysterious face constantly squirming with unknown substances, obstructing their abomination of a face from anyone's sight.

The aura they exuded was unstable, exposing the dread they felt.

Just like in the relatively large space, the whole void was experiencing something abnormal, too.

The steady darkness that served as a starless sky appeared like it had a life of its own as it churned, never fully dissipating.

Flashes of purple and red lightning cracked the sky, reflecting the jagged cliffs that appeared to be made of charred bones, just before they crumbled to dust the next second.

Rivers of molten lava snaked through the landscapes, spilling on the edges and creating a disturbing art all over.

It splits and reforms, its current flowing in directions that defy physics. Shadowy figures dart across in random motion, scampering in terror and whispering curses that disturb the soul.

One of the few who could handle the cries of the mother in labor stood, crouched.

His almost transparent legs that looked to be made of the wind itself wobbled, unable to carry his weight as the pressure weighing down on everyone increased with each passing second.

His abominable face moved, and whispers unable to be sensed by any human, distorted the air before him.

"#$@$#$&"

"It's time! After so long... I can finally escape. This time, I will make things right... Earth, I'm coming!"

The cry of a baby rang out, and everything appeared like it was at a standstill. The cacophony of noise and chaotic events all seized, and all life on earth and beyond, even for a split second, felt it...

Something changed!

Every underworld creature moved its head towards the theatre-like structure where the projection was being played.

Subconsciously, something they never thought could happen to them did. Whatever served as their eyes moistened and whatever they had in place of heart, dropped.

Some could see it, many couldn't...but it happened. And as their teary eyes gazed at their unforeseeable future with mixed emotions, a mother's eyes soft gaze never departed from her newborn child. She let tears cascade down her fatigued face...

Regaining strength like she wasn't about to pass out a few minutes ago, she reached out her hands to take the literal fruit of her labor.

Not bothering with the weird looks that the midwives gave her crying child...she took him in her arms, and once their eyes met a connection was established.

"Rosa, it's a boy..." The old Midwife said immediately the baby cries permeated the room. Her voice was drenched in uncertainty as her eyes never left the baby she just delivered.

His features...he wasn't normal. And the situations around his birth were even more unexplainable. Shrugging off the weird hair and eye color, she muttered inwardly...

'What to expect from a fourteen-month pregnancy?'

But she couldn't care less - Maria Rosa, the mother. Lost in their world as the sun rays escaped the open window reflecting soft beautiful light from the remnant water drops, she smiled...

It wasn't the deep yellow light of the sunset; she could swear anytime, anywhere...

Her son's eyes flashed a bright golden yellow light and she felt his little grasp tighten on one of her fingers. A tear dropped and she couldn't help but laugh...

"A special one, are you my boy? You endured for fourteen months putting your poor mother through lots of worries. You were taking your time, weren't you?"

She reached down and kissed his forehead, her tears dropping on him.

"On the seventh year of the seventh month of the seventh day... Following a pattern hey Seven?" She paused and smiled once more...

"Seven. You're Seven. The Completion the world needs, the completion I need..."
