Chapter 60 - Orcs

"So those fat pigs eat people, huh? That's good to know," I mumbled to myself, which for some reason caused the princess to frown at me.

"What?" I asked.

"You don't have to phrase it like that. You can stand to be a little more modest."

Modest?

The orcs were bigger than humans, their flesh harder to slice through than ours, and I would say we were smarter. To me, those were the only differences between us. I would kill a human just as easily as I would kill an orc.

The princess and I slaughtered every orc that we came by. The village was small and there wasn't a lot of land to cover. Still, we hadn't run into any of the villagers.

"The town hall," the princess suggested. "It's the only place big enough to store everyone."

It made sense. The princess was racking her brain trying to figure out where they were; she didn't even want to consider the other possibility.
