Chapter 256 - Chapter 256-92: Summit War (4)

Chiyu already knew how the original Summit War ended—an absolute disaster for Whitebeard.

Whitebeard was killed on the spot, the plan to save Ace completely failed…

It was a total loss. Nothing but blood, betrayal, and heartbreak.

And it only got worse. Blackbeard ambushed Whitebeard's corpse, stole the Gura Gura no Mi, and later wiped out what was left of the Whitebeard Pirates in the final battle.

Chiyu had warned Whitebeard—because he owed him. He told him how it all ended. But even with that knowledge, Whitebeard still chose to fight.

But now Chiyu had to ask himself—if everything was just going to follow the script… then what was the point of him being here?

Whether or not he had sympathy for the Whitebeard Pirates didn't matter. His own army—the Undying Legion—was here in Marineford. Even if he didn't care about Whitebeard, he had to think about his own people.

And right now, they were bleeding.

The sixteen divisions under Whitebeard, along with 43 allied crews, were locked in brutal fights against Marine HQ's vice admirals. Most of them—captains, commanders—were pushing themselves to the limit.

Chiyu's side wasn't doing much better. Smoker, Blade, Box, Barbara, Baby 5, Franky... they were holding their own, but most were just around vice admiral level.

The only one who could tip the scale was Trafalgar Law—he was above vice admiral tier, but still not strong enough to take on a full-blown admiral.

Law had activated his Ope Ope no Mi, and was dealing with the Pacifistas. Franky was unleashing his General Franky mode, blasting enemies alongside him.

Chiyu's plan was clear: first, get the seastone cuffs off Zephyr and Ace. If he could free them, that'd mean two more heavy hitters on the field—and no more liabilities to protect.

He looked up.

Back at the execution platform.

And there was Vice Admiral Garp—staring him down.

Garp had one job: guard that platform. Chiyu had already broken through once to free Zephyr. If he went for Ace now, it'd be a second failure Garp couldn't afford.

No way Garp was letting that happen.

But just then—

"ACE!!!"

A familiar voice rang out from below. Both Garp and Ace froze.

That voice—impossible.

It was… Monkey D. Luffy.

Ace's face went pale. "L-Luffy?!"

Even Garp looked stunned. "Luffy?! That's impossible—how'd you even get here?!"

According to intel, Luffy had only just set out to sea. Even if he knew about the execution, there's no way he could've made it in time.

But Luffy didn't answer. He was already charging the scaffolding, racing straight for the platform.

"Luffy, DON'T!" Ace shouted.

Garp clenched his fists. "Damn it, Luffy! Even if you're my grandson—I won't let you through!"

He powered up—Haki exploding around his iron fist—and punched.

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!!" Luffy roared.

Garp's fist was about to launch him off the tower—but just as it connected, Garp hesitated. He didn't go all out.

And that was enough.

Because "Luffy" exploded with lightning.

BOOM! BOOM!!

Garp's body convulsed from the surge—he couldn't dodge in time. The blast knocked him straight off the platform.

No doubt about it.

That wasn't the real Luffy.

It was Chiyu—using Transformation Jutsu.

He wasn't above deception. In fact, he used it often. And this time, it worked perfectly.

Even a legend like Garp—already injured from Chiyu's earlier attack—couldn't keep going.

Chiyu stepped up, rummaged through Garp's uniform, and found the key to the seastone cuffs.

Garp, groaning on the ground, realized too late.

"You bastard… You used Luffy against me?! How do you even know him?! His face, his voice—his damn posture?! You mimicked it all perfectly!"

That kind of impersonation? It shouldn't be possible.

But Chiyu didn't answer. He simply unlocked Zephyr's cuffs.

And just like that, Black Arm Zephyr was free.

He threw his head back and laughed—his voice booming across Marineford.

"After all these years… I'm finally free!!"

"Sengoku! Garp! And those so-called Admirals… I'm back! And I'm burning this place to the ground!"

He gave Chiyu a firm nod—a silent thank-you.

Then he leapt into the fray without another word.

There'd be time for gratitude later. Right now—it was war.

With Zephyr back in the fight, the tide was turning. The Whitebeard Pirates and Chiyu's side had just gained serious momentum.

And Chiyu wasn't done.

He vanished in a crackle of lightning—racing toward the platform.

He was going to save Ace.

Sengoku's face went white. "Kizaru! Stop him—NOW!!"

Only Kizaru was fast enough. And he knew it.

"That guy… terrifying," he muttered. "But if we let him save two criminals live on global broadcast… where does that leave the Navy?"

He turned into light and shot upward.

But before he could reach the top—

BOOM!

A shadow appeared.

Sword in hand. Armament Haki swirling.

A single slash—Kizaru was blown out of the sky.

CRASH!!

He smashed into the ground. He reformed quickly—he was light, after all—but his face twisted in disbelief.

Sengoku's eyes went wide.

"...Rayleigh?! Dark King Rayleigh?!"

The right-hand man of Gol D. Roger had just joined the war.

And he wasn't here to talk.

He blocked Kizaru without hesitation and sent him crashing into the dirt.

Kizaru got up, scratching his head. "Rayleigh… why the hell are you here?"

"Don't tell me—"

As an admiral, Kizaru knew the truth: Rayleigh was Roger's partner. And Ace?

Roger's son.

It made perfect sense.

Roger had gone to the gallows willingly.

Ace hadn't.

Rayleigh smirked. "Looks like you figured it out. No need for me to explain."

Sengoku roared, "Rayleigh! We let you live in peace. We didn't chase you. The government showed you mercy—and THIS is how you repay it?!"

"Rescuing Boa Hancock before was bad enough. Now you're at Marineford, openly challenging the Navy?! Don't think we won't kill you!"

Rayleigh smiled. "Sengoku. Long time no see."

"If I came here today, I came ready to face whatever comes next."

"But first…"

He looked up.

Because of his interruption, Kizaru never made it.

And Chiyu?

He'd already freed Ace.

The seastone cuffs hit the ground.

Fire Fist Ace—was free again.

Rayleigh smiled.

The Whitebeard Pirates lost it.

"ACE!!!"

"HELL YEAH!!!"

"THANK YOU, Chiyu-SAMA!!!"

The battlefield exploded in celebration.

Even Whitebeard cracked a grin.

"Ace, welcome back."

"Uchiha Chiyu… I owe you big time."

Chiyu shrugged. "I didn't save him for you. I did it so my people could survive."

"Don't worry about the favor."

Whitebeard laughed. "You're terrifying."

"But I always repay what I owe."

And right then—more laser beams flew their way.

Pacifistas—back in action.

But suddenly—

Another warship arrived.

A stunning woman stepped out. A single kick—a Pacifista turned to stone and shattered.

The Navy was stunned.

Boa Hancock.

The former Warlord of the Sea. The Pirate Empress. Backed by her Amazon warriors.

And then came another surge.

A towering man wrapped in water.

With a single Sea Current Throw, he slammed another Pacifista into the ocean depths.

Jinbe the Knight of the Sea—had entered the battlefield.

Sengoku was drenched in cold sweat.

The tides had turned.

Garp was down.

The enemy kept growing stronger.

Their lineup now included:

Whitebeard

Uchiha Chiyu

Zephyr

Marco

Ace

Trafalgar Law

Jinbe

Boa Hancock

And countless other elites.

Pirate morale skyrocketed. The Navy's morale? In free fall.

Sengoku roared, "This is Marineford! The bastion of justice! The last fortress protecting the world!"

"We are the Navy! We carry the will of justice! We CANNOT let these criminals stomp on our name!"

"ALL UNITS—FIGHT TO THE LAST IN THE NAME OF JUSTICE!!"

The Navy rallied—soldiers roared back into formation.

Sengoku himself went straight for Whitebeard.

Kizaru was tangled with Rayleigh. Zephyr was clashing with Tsuru. Aokiji was fighting Marco.

Ace, Law, Hancock, Jinbe—they were all locked in battles against vice admirals and Pacifistas.

But here came the real problem…

No one could stop Chiyu anymore.

He dove into the battlefield like a storm—lightning exploding from every step.

He tore through Pacifistas, left craters of destruction, and crushed elite officers like they were paper.

Marineford was becoming a graveyard.

Blood everywhere.

Sengoku gritted his teeth—but he was pinned down. He couldn't move.

There was only one man left who could stop Chiyu—

Akainu. Sakazuki.

Akainu had planned to go after Whitebeard.

He hated Chiyu.

But Whitebeard had always been the true target.

Until now.

Sengoku shouted, "SAKAZUKI! GO STOP UCHIHA Chiyu! MARINEFORD IS FALLING!!"

Akainu saw it clearly.

He growled, gave up on Whitebeard for now, and stormed toward Chiyu.

These two had never met face to face.

But they knew each other better than anyone.

Akainu had once admired Chiyu, promoted him, mentored him.

Then they clashed. Broke apart. Became sworn enemies.

And now, finally—

They stood across from each other.

Eyes locked.

Killing intent crackled like a storm between them.

"Uchiha Chiyu," Akainu growled. "This has been building for too long."

"Let's end it. Right here."

Chiyu's eyes narrowed. "Come on then, Akainu."

BOOM—

"Ten Thousand Thunder Stream!"

"Great Eruption!"

They were far apart—but their powers exploded at the same time.

Lightning ripped the sky—falling like meteors.

Magma shot skyward—consuming the heavens.

They collided.

The sky turned into a battlefield of fire and thunder.

And in that moment—

They both charged.

"UCHIHA Chiyu!!"

"AKAINU!!"

They roared—unleashing everything they had.

The final clash—had begun.
