Synopsis
Amaris had always lived suppressed and bullied, an orphaned omega of the Blood howl pack. Till one day, Marissa, the crazy girl friend of the young alpha Gavin, ordered her to be disfigured, beaten to death's door, and abandoned at nightshade forest to be devoured by beasts. But her death sentence became a saving grace when Alpha king Harvey, ruler of the northern territories stumbled upon her while on a secret mission. He took her home, and nursed her to health. But her happiness was short-lived; her life became dramatic once again when Prince Auren returned. ***** “I have decided, Amaris will join you at Lunegarde academy.” King Harvey said one day during dinner, making the other two at the dining freeze. “Excuse me? The new semester started two weeks ago, and the admission period is long over. How do you intend to do that? She doesn't even have a junior school certificate.” “I have already taken care of everything. All you need to do is make sure you keep her alive in there, till she's strong enough to survive on her own.” Auren scoffed, and shot Amaris a resentful glare. “Lunegarde is an academy for wolves with magical abilities, people from special clans descended from the goddess herself, comprising only five percent of the entire wolf population. Yet, you want this…” He paused and shot Amaris a judgemental gaze, weighing her, and finding her short of everything good. “... Loser who hasn't even shifted to join. You better find a general to babysit her, because she will be eaten up on her first day. And you won't even have a corpse to collect.” “Language Auren, she's your mate and your responsibility. Whether you like it or not, you must obey.” “Then make me!” Auren snapped and shot Amaris a resentful glare which made her shrink, before making his way up. What partiality! His father never helped him for once in life, claiming he should make his way himself and be a man. Yet here he was, cutting all kinds of corners, and engaging in bribery to make something great out of the useless stranger he brought home. If she had a death wish, he wouldn't stop her. Even the weakest person in Lunegarde could turn her to a pile of ashes. Let the stupid moth fly to the flame. ***** And then, Amaris's adventure began. But on her very first day, she met the alpha princes of the south, east, and west, who one of them is the current wolf prince. And they all seemed to be her mates. But why won't they admit it? And if they eventually do, who will she choose? Especially since they were all bitter rivals, vying for the spot of the next wolf king. Four handsome devils, possessive, with a twisted side to them. And they all have a secret obsession, claim her and steal her from the others. And the most terrifying seems to be that prince—the Memorist, enchanter of the wolf tribe. Or maybe not. Chapter 1 - A 'NICE' WAY TO LIVE

"Holy goddess! Amaris ruined the cake!" The high pitched screech made Amaris's heart drop to the pits of her stomach. She was truly exhausted from all the set-ups, bullying, and beating she had been enduring in Bloodhowl pack for as long as she could remember.

The headmistress in charge of all the servants in the pack house, stalked towards her and dragged her away, to look at the mountain of expensive cake that scattered in the oven. Martha, the headmistress scowled, her expression darker than the darkest storms, her face red with fury.

Amaris looked up at her with eyes filled with fear, trying to come up with a suitable explanation about the devastation which just occurred under her watch.

Thwack!

Her ears rang from the slap and dizziness assaulted her. Another slap followed, then another, and another, and another, till her face became more swollen than a pig's head.

"This…"

Her efforts to explain herself only infuriated Martha more, making her multiply the slaps delivered to Amaris.

Amaris spat out blood and fragments of shattered teeth, her face filled with red palm prints; her eyes were nearly going blind from the slaps.

"You useless girl, you can't ever do things right. Just bring out the cake from the oven for Lady Marissa's birthday, and you ruined it."

"No, I swear it wasn't me. I just opened the oven door and saw it that way. It's from the baker who mixed it, not me." Amaris shouted, trying to keep hot tears from rushing down her face.

'Why is my life so unlucky? Why am I always the one suffering? What the hell did I do to deserve this? Day in, day out, same old news.'

Amaris's mind was a mess of jumbled thoughts. Even before she spoke, she already knew that it was futile. Whatever she said would be useless… it always was. They seem to get a hike from setting her up, bullying her, and humiliating her, as if she was the only omega in the pack. The moment she saw the scattered cake, she knew her tormentors were at it again. And the mastermind was very obvious to all.

"Lady Marissa's birthday is just a few hours away, and you had the gall to ruin everything. You're gonna get it." Anna, one of the maids, and the very same person who asked her to get the cake said, smirking wickedly.

As if on cue, Marissa Belmont walked in, her stilettos clicking against the marble floor. She gasped…holding her hand over her chest in an exaggerated expression of shock and horror.

"Oh my goodness! My birthday is ruined by the bitch!" She immediately lunged at Amaris, tearing her face with her long nails, as if she had been waiting a long time to do it.

Amaris's heart burned with rage, but she had no other option than to endure it. The last time she defended herself from attacks, it didn't end so nice. She had stayed in the dungeon for a week without food or water. All she could do was shield her face with her arms, to protect her most prized asset from being marred like the rest of her body.

Marissa finally pulled away, face flushed with satisfaction at finally landing her target, and breathing heavily like one who ran a marathon. Her nails were stained with blood and particles of Amaris's flesh.

Amaris herself wasn't looking good. Her white maid's attire now bore uncountable splotches of blood from the injuries she just received. Even her old wounds and barely healing scabs were reopened. Worse, she healed extremely slowly compared to other werewolves. She was the weakest omega in the entire pack in terms of healing ability, the pack's reject.

"Guards, take her to the dungeon and teach her some manners."

Marissa's voice was cold and menacing, her glare evil. But no one dared to raise objections, she was the future Luna of the pack, and the beta's daughter.

Amaris scoffed as she noticed the secret sign shared by Anna and two of the maids, and the nod of approval from Marissa.

'Wow. It was indeed as I thought, they were working on her instructions to give her a reason to make my life more miserable than it already was. She's truly crazy, going to the extent of ruining her cake just to deal with me. Why does she hate me so much? She's the beta's daughter, while I'm merely an orphaned omega the pack's healer picked from the forest. Why does she see me as a threat?'

Marissa walked to her as the guards were about to take her away and leaned close to her ear to whisper something to her, while her long nails dug into her side, cruelly twisting her flesh.

"This is just the beginning, you wretch. The next time I see you staring at Gavin like that, I will dig out your eyes, peel your skin slice by slice, and crush your bones. I will be the next Luna of this pack, Gavin's mate, and no one will take that away from me… definitely not a waste like you. Know your place, you're trash. Trash will forever be what it is… trash."

So this was what this huge drama was all about, just a stare at the alpha's son Gavin which didn't even last thirty seconds, and she was made to suffer like that.

Amaris smirked, and before she knew it, her acidic tongue went on attack mode.

"Oh? I wondered the reason you made it a point of duty to harass me, it was because you were jealous of me. Why? Does Gavin still not find you attractive even after your bbl? I don't blame him though, no one wants an ugly whore except for quick fucks. Admit it, even if you're the beta's daughter, you're worthless to him and he doesn't fancy you. Because he knows how lowly and trashy you are. Rather than attack me, you should focus on making yourself more desirable. Maybe then, he would want you, instead of chasing after all the maids in the pack."

Marissa's face darkened, her eyes filled with rage and bloodlust.

"Take her away and crush her hands for me."

Amaris immediately regretted the words the moment they left her mouth, she just called down a bigger problem for herself. But since she was already in trouble, she might as well release all the pent up frustrations in her mind and go all in.

"Oh, and Marissa, Anna and Cynthia had sex with Gavin last week. I thought they were your good slaves. Tsk tsk tsk. I guess they're just a bunch of materialistic whores like their mistress. You might want to watch your back, Anna is very beautiful and I heard him confessing how well she sucks his dick. She might be our new Luna. After all, you never stood a chance." Amaris whispered, enjoying her momentary victory as she watched Marissa whose nose was flaring with anger turn to Anna.

'Good, since you want to ruin me, let's burn together.'

Even though she knew what awaited her, she couldn't help but smile broadly as the guards dragged her to the dungeon.
