Chapter 2 - Desert of forgotton land

As he jumped down to the abyss-like place, a sweet sound resounded in his mind."You have entered a divine realm, the first memory of Eruotion."

Lume got taken aback because of an alien feeling of something invading his mind.

Lume shrugged that feeling and opened his eyes. He was transported thousands of years in the past. As the strong wind caressed his fragile figure, devoid of any muscular development, he realized that he was falling from a sky.

"Fuck I'm done for! So this is the reason why no one survived… No, I have to survive this!"

As that thought passed through his mind, he had already smashed to the ground.

Lume managed to protect his vital organs during the fall, but it still mangled his left arm and leg.

"So this is what people mean by cost of an arm and a leg."

Lume was in no mood for jokes, but life cost that bit of fun just, say, right?

"Luckily, I fell in a desert, so the sand took most of the impact. I wonder if others were fortunate enough," Lume looked at his mangled arm, which was broken from several places, and thought, Good thing I acted fast during the fall. If my leg was seriously hurt then I would be in big trouble.

Lume wanted to get up, but his body refused to do so, suffering in agony. Lume got up with the help of a sandstone. "Why is this rock so f*ckin' hot?" he thought while looking toward his burnt palm. Lume saw a temple very far while falling, so he decided to follow that path.

While withering in pain and moving so slowly that a crawler could run fast, Lume saw a figure of a kid not so far from him. His eyes glistened at the thought of a companion. However, that was not long-lived, because that kid was dead for a while and the burning sand was greedily drinking his blood.

"I guess I got lucky, huh," Lume said in a solemn voice while looking at the place from where he came.
