"Lord Jotaro! This whole area is my industry, you can spend freely here as you like."
In order to show his loyalty and strength, Doflamingo held nothing back, introducing all of his industries to Jotaro.
But the place they were in right now was just the ordinary goods district, it didn't involve Doflamingo's main industries yet.
Looking at Jotaro's tall, imposing back, Doflamingo's lips quietly curved upward, a faint fiery gleam flashing in his eyes.
'Lord Jotaro, very soon you will know just how much power and resources I can provide you.'
The ecological environment of the Sabaody Archipelago was quite unique. Jotaro was rather interested in it, stopping from time to time to look around.
Naturally, Doflamingo didn't dare disturb him rashly.
He had prepared a unique show for Jotaro at the Auction House on Tree No.1.
As long as Jotaro witnessed this show with his own eyes, he believed Jotaro would be able to feel the power he held over the underworld.
Because this show was prepared specially for Jotaro, he had to personally oversee everything and make sure it was perfect, so he had no choice but to go take care of it himself.
He summoned a steward and sternly instructed, "From now on, Lord Jotaro's schedule will be entirely in your hands. If there's even one thing that displeases him, tomorrow you'll lose your head!"
A chilling murderous aura enveloped him. The steward shuddered, and in just a short time, cold sweat soaked his back.
"Y-yes… yes! How would I dare slack off at Lord Joker's command."
Doflamingo gave a slight nod, then slipped away quietly.
The dazzling variety of goods made Nami's eyes spin.
"There really are so many good things here. I want to buy one of everything, it's just a shame the prices are way too high. My budget isn't nearly enough."
Nami spread her hands and sighed helplessly.
The steward hurriedly stepped forward, not daring to neglect her in the slightest.
After all, Nami was together with Jotaro, he had to serve her with the utmost respect.
"Noble young lady, as long as it's something you like here, you may take it." He rubbed his hands as he spoke.
"Really?" Nami's eyes lit up golden, instantly turning into the shape of berry coins.
"You are our esteemed… esteemed guest, of course it's real!"
Getting a firm reply, Nami stopped pretending, planted her hands on her hips and said, "Alright then, just move everything here back for me."
Her ears were sharp, she had heard every single word of Doflamingo's earlier talk with the steward. She wouldn't miss such a bargain for nothing!
The steward, "…"
"Celestial Dragons are coming! Everyone, hurry and be silent, kneel down!"
On the street, someone suddenly shouted at the top of their lungs. Instantly, the crowd fell into chaos, rushing to the sides, holding their breath, bending their knees, kneeling to the ground.
Inside the shop, Jotaro was also drawn by the commotion outside and lifted his head to look.
Shinobu's gaze moved away from the beautiful clothes, asking puzzledly, "What's going on?"
Jotaro frowned. "They seem to have said Celestial Dragons. If I remember correctly, that's what they call the World Nobles."
The steward chimed in, "The lord is correct. The Celestial Dragons are a privileged class. They call themselves 'descendants of the creators.' In their eyes, all others are no more than ants."
Nami complained, "What kind of get-up is this? Clearly they're on land, why wear bubble head covers?"
The steward explained, "Celestial Dragons don't want to breathe the same air as commoners, so…"
"Yare yare." Jotaro couldn't be bothered to look anymore. "Truly a bunch of arrogant fools."
The steward really couldn't respond to that.
After all, that was what everyone secretly thought, but very few dared to say it out loud.
Speaking ill of the Celestial Dragons behind their backs was a serious crime.
If someone reported it, they would absolutely be arrested by the navy.
A small character like him couldn't possibly dare voice such illegal opinions like Jotaro.
"My lord, please just wait here quietly. The Celestial Dragons will pass by soon." the steward said cautiously.
"It's really awful! How can this world have such scum in it!"
Shinobu saw the Celestial Dragons holding iron chains, treating humans like livestock, and her anger boiled over. Her purple-hazed eyes turned cold.
Saint Charlos of the Celestial Dragons had just arrived at the Sabaody Archipelago with his father and sister. The purpose of their trip was clear, buy a new batch of "playthings" to fill his empty, boring life.
Old slaves no longer amused him, he urgently needed some fresh slaves for his pleasure.
He was supposed to be with his family, but because of his greed for play, Charlos had delayed, and carelessly got separated from his father and sister along the way.
But he didn't realize it was his own fault. Instead, he vented all his fury on the slaves crawling under him.
"Trash! It's all because you walk as slow as a snail! Swaying all the way, that's why I got lost!"
"Trash!!"
With a roar, he lifted his foot and kicked, sending the slave rolling on the ground, nose and mouth bleeding, not daring to let out a single cry.
Charlos panted heavily and then suddenly brightened up, his gaze landing on a kneeling woman by the roadside.
"Hm?"
He strode quickly forward, looking down on her from above.
"Raise your head! Let me see your face."
The woman trembled all over, not daring to disobey, slowly lifting her head. Her eyes were already brimming with tears.
The moment Charlos saw her, his eyes lit up, his tone as excited as a child getting a toy, "Good! I want you as my wife!"
A follower immediately bowed and responded, "Understood. I will send her to the Holy Land right away and process the papers for her to become the thirteenth wife."
Charlos said expressionlessly, "Wives one to five, I've already tired of them. Turn them back into commoners."
The woman's face changed drastically. Through her tears, she mustered her last bit of courage and said, "Please, please wait! I… I already have a fiancé!"
Charlos' expression didn't waver at all, instead he looked blankly puzzled, "A fiancé? No problem. Kill him, and then you won't have one."
Before he even finished speaking, his follower lunged forward, pinning her down tightly.
"Help! Somebody help me!!"
She cried and screamed, voice tearing, eyes full of despair.
But the surrounding crowd didn't move, their heads bowed, as if she didn't even exist.
Some clenched their fists, veins bulging, eyes full of anger and unwillingness, yet no one dared to take a step forward.
"Behave yourself!" the follower threatened coldly. "Do you want to anger a Celestial Dragon? If Lord Charlos becomes displeased, not only you, your family and friends will all be buried with you!"
The woman's body shook, her face instantly pale.
That sentence had struck her weak spot.
Her resistance was completely crushed, reduced to voiceless sobbing.
"Take her away!"
The moment the follower's words fell, a fluttering butterfly-like figure swept past the followers in front of the Celestial Dragon.
Faint cuts appeared at their necks, and in the blink of an eye, their skin turned purple.
They foamed at the mouth, collapsing to the ground one after another.
"Who's there!!" Charlos cried out in terror, the remaining followers immediately surrounding him.
"It's alright now." Shinobu ignored him, speaking softly to the woman in her arms.
"Bastard! How dare you attack a Celestial Dragon!" The followers pulled out pistols and aimed at Shinobu, fear rising in their hearts.
If anything happened to a Celestial Dragon, they would be punished afterward.
The moment Charlos got a clear look at Shinobu's face, he froze like wood.
He had never seen such a woman before.
Though her figure was small, it suited his taste perfectly.
Not long ago he had gotten a few giant slaves, now it seemed perfect to have Shinobu play cat-and-mouse games with them.
"Wait! Don't shoot!" Charlos raised his hand to stop them, speaking curtly as always, "I want to marry her as my wife!"
"This…" the followers, hearing that, didn't dare disobey, lowering their guns one after another.
"The trash from just now I don't want anymore. Bring this woman back for me!" Charlos sniffed and gave the order.
A vein bulged on Shinobu's forehead, her face darkened, her voice colder than ice, bone-chilling.
"You disgusting pig, who would ever want to be your wife? Believe it or not, I'll carve you up right here!"
"Did I hear that right? Just where did this woman come from, daring to speak like this to a Celestial Dragon?"
The crowd on both sides of the street was thrown into a storm of shock, clearly terrified by Shinobu's words.
Charlos stared at her blankly, his face twitching.
'Pig… pig?'
Tears spurted from his eyes as he roared, "Commoner! I'll kill you!"
He raised his pistol, aimed at Shinobu, and without the slightest hesitation, pulled the trigger hard.
Bang!
Before the bullet could even leave the barrel, the gun exploded.
"Jotaro-san!"
Through the smoke, Jotaro looked down coldly at the fallen Charlos. Shinobu was overjoyed, she had known Jotaro wouldn't ignore it.
Charlos looked at Jotaro, and only after a long pause did he react.
"How dare you stand in front of me!"
He raised the gun, wanting to fire again, only to realize what remained in his hand was just the handle.
"Yare yare… letting idiots like you be nobles, this world really is beyond saving."
"I truly have nothing more to say."
Jotaro spoke faintly, not caring at all about the followers aiming their guns at him, as he punched Charlos in the face again and again.
"Ora ora ora ora ora ora!"
