Chapter 1 - Void City

It was just a normal morning in Void City, the streets filled with civilians going about their days, salesmen calling out and advertising their goods.

And you know it is never complete without the usual villain attack hero rescue.

Today was a hostage situation, a supervillain warp held an entire complex filled with people hostage…

"Come on Warp, come out, let's have a peaceful conversation, we can negotiate what you want." A figure shouted from outside the building.

"Like hell I will, you're just going to rip me apart in the bloodiest way possible." A coarse voice replied from within the complex.

"What? Me? Never, I'm a good guy, we can just talk it out no violence involved." The figure spoke once more trying to sound amiable.

"Fuck you spark! tell that to my partner." The voice from within barked.

Looking at the corner inches away, one would see a bloody pile of meat and bones.

This was the accomplice of the villain warp, he was called Split, he came out 'To have a friendly conversation' with Spark and this was the result.

Looking at the mess the figure scratched his head wearing an awkward smile "Come on man I told you it was an accident, my fist slipped."

"Fuck you spark!"

"Hahhh" a helpless sigh rang out from the figure.

You might be wondering who this individual in question was…

Well as you might have deduced his hero name was Spark.

Spark was almost one of the greatest superheroes in the whole of Void City…

I repeat Almost!

You see, unlike other superheroes, Spark had quite the background…

His mother was Lilac no.3 on the supervillain list.

His brother Void No. 4 is on the supervillain list.

And his father Gravon no.0 on the supervillain list.

Yes, you read right no.0

That was just how vile the man was.

He was higher than number 1, and he was known as the walking calamity, when he struck, it would take the entirety of The Aegis Nine, the top nine heroes of the city to stop him.

So as you can see Spark had a not so really good background or upbringing.

If not for some serious factors Spark himself might have just joined the family business!

Fortunately for Void City, he was abducted when he was a teen by a really good man, who then became his father figure and took the liberty of installing good moral values into him.

But maybe because of his background or the fact that he carried the blood of the vilest man that roamed the earth in his veins…

Spark was different... But not in a good way.

You see, he had psychopathic tendencies, such as the sudden impulses to go on murder sprees, the blinding cravings for blood and the unresistable huger for the bone-crunching, flesh tearing and the warm spray of the blood of his opponent's mangled body beneath his fists…

But due to the understanding guardian of his father figure, he was able to Channel these insane urges into the right place...

And he did!

Happily!

The idea that he could satisfy these urges while saving the day was the greatest discovery he ever made in his life.

Unlike his family, he didn't have the whole world on his tail trying to catch him.

He could just go around delivering jungle justice to those who deserved it.

And he wouldn't need to be one of the bad guys…

But as you can imagine, not everyone received this quirk of his well.

Just as he had his fair share of fans he also had those that weren't so fond of him and his ways.

And the government was among the latter.

Cause unlike other heroes anytime Spark took care of a Villain, they always had to send a clean-up squad, instead of making arrests, they'd be burying corpses.

Not only the government, but a fair amount of the public and heroes didn't see to him fondly.

In fact, this quirk of his was the main reason he couldn't make it into The Aegis Nine.

He had what it took, he was one of the most powerful beings to roam the earth, all things aside he was a perfect candidate to join The Aegis Nine.

But this flaw of his was too much of a red flag.

He even lost his three-year relationship because of this same flaw of his, his girlfriend Starlight a member of The Aegis Nine just couldn't take it anymore.

Honestly, if Spark's brain functioned normally, all these things would have weighed on his mind, driving him into depression.

But too sad he wasn't normal, he didn't give two fucks what anyone thought of him!

Well the breakup got to him quite a bit...

But aside from that he was good.

This led to today, where he was trying to bait Warp no.36 on the villain list to step out so he could serve justice and be on his way.

There he stood in dismay clothed in his pure white suit with his signature S on his belt buckle white cape flapping behind him, he had short white hair with sapphire blue eyes.

He looked so handsome and delicate one would never believe he could even hurt a fly.

Scratching his head he let out a disappointed sigh once more "Okay buddy just state your demands from within. there, happy?"

There was a brief silence before the voice replied from within "I want to speak with The Ageis Nine, and also let out the news that Code X is about to be leaked by me."

"And any villain that comes here must not be stopped or killed, Spark I really mean it if you scare them off I'll make sure no one walks out of here alive."

Frowning at the weird request Spark had no choice but to reply positively "Okay I promise… so like I can't touch even on-"

The voice cut him off mid-statement sounding aggrieved "I swear to God Spark, if you touch anyone and scare the rest off trust me I'll be leveling this entire building."

"Okay! Okay! Yeesh, it was just a joke." Spark then turned to the agents around, "You heard the man, what are you guys waiting for?"

The agents shivering under his gaze went to work, if not for the fact that they knew Spark never kills the innocent they wouldn't be here.

Quickly the call was made.

An agent walked up to Spark and informed "Sir the request has been delivered to the headquarters, anytime now The Aegis Nine would be here… but as for the villains I'm not so sure they'll be appearing"

Spark nodded in understanding after all which villain in their right mind would happily arrive at the location where both himself and The Aegis Nine were present?

And very soon he got his answer…

With a scowl on his face, he gazed at the ten looming figures, and muttered beneath his breath "Brother"...
