Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

"This is a special place for me to train. I brought you here because I think this place is all I have anymore."

Teressa looked back, at the man who seemed to be observing every corner of the place. A smile appeared on Teressa's face as she watched Lord Mervous focus on every detail.

The woman wondered if perhaps Lord Mervous was admiring the place where she was practicing. As it was, the man had only lived in the slums and was full of torment and orders from the guards.

Where else, but a place for slaves who were asked to work forcibly and do whatever they were told.

"This place was deliberately given to me by His Highness Libradon. He knows, no one is allowed to see me train. Because everything that belongs to me can only be seen by a few trusted people."

Teressa, who had been silent and watching since Lord Mervous' arrival, now began to make her voice heard again.

The difference made Lord Mervous continue to stare at the woman. There was no longer any attention from his eyes to the details of Teressa's special place anymore, only Teressa's figure remained now.

"One thing you should know. I never bring strangers into this special place of mine. You are the first stranger I've allowed and introduced to this place." Teressa explained as she turned her gaze to the figure of Lord Mervous.

A figure she admired for the man's courage, the man was not at all afraid let alone daunted in speaking before Libradon. That was a plus in Teressa's eyes at the moment.

"I must admit, you're good. As the noble Libradon has said, no one has ever made him that angry. All the slaves brought before his presence have always bowed to His Highness Libradon for forgiveness." Teressa continued to pace her feet.

She seemed to be looking for the right place for them to sit together.

"But you are different. You are strong and resilient. You look like a warrior. What makes you so? Are you not at all afraid of the death sentence that will be given by His Majesty Libradon?" asked Teressa stopping her steps and looking back at God Mervous.

About 5 steps away, there were two rocks that they could use as seats. God Mervous was sure that Teressa would choose that spot for the two of them.

"Never mind. You seem content with your stony silence. I knew you wouldn't respond to my question."

Teressa looked away from her. She then walked towards the two large rocks that could be used as seats.

"Sit down, you can rest here."

As Dewa Mervous had expected, the woman would definitely choose that spot.

Lord Mervous nodded his head, taking a seat right beside the woman. His gaze was now sharpening on the woman.

Truly, he missed those two soothing brown eyes. Teressa was so similar to Goddess Earth, there was no difference between her and Goddess Earth.

"Alright. If you don't want to tell me why you dared to fight the noble Libradon. At least give me an explanation. Tell me how you came to be brought here? What offenses have you committed?" asked Teressa with a gentle look at the man.

God Mervous fell silent. The man was still lost in the woman's eyes. Those eyes that always made God Mervous unable to take his eyes off her.

"Hey? Are you listening to me? Why were you brought here?"

At the same time, God Mervous asked Teressa a question as well. "Do you have a twin sister?"

Teressa then furrowed her brow, she felt confused by the sentence uttered by the man who was still staring intently at her.

Instead of giving an answer to the question she had, the man asked her back.

"Do you have a twin Sister? You... look exactly like my lover. Are you actually Goddess Earth? Are you just disguised as someone else?"

God Mervous looked about to touch the face that he felt was his beloved.

Quickly, Teressa reached down and moved away. The woman's gaze turned sharp.

"You're so ignorant! How dare you say that to me?"

Teressa looked furious. She thought he would be different from the other men out there. She did not expect that he would dare to seduce her like that.

"You deserve punishment! Just because I saved you from the punishment given by the noble Libradon, doesn't mean you can freely seduce me!"

She thought that Lord Mervous' words were mere seduction talk by the man.

With the anger that had engulfed her, Teressa finally made the decision to give Lord Mervous back to Libradon. She did not want to bring the wrong person into her life.

"You must pay for what you have done, follow me, I will take you back to His Highness Libradon!" said Teressa with her face flushed with anger.

Gone was Teressa's admiration for the man. A man who was considered completely different from the others and special enough to be a slave.

God Mervous, who understood that the woman would definitely not believe any of his words, now chose to surrender. He seemed to be trailing behind the woman. Accepting whatever might happen.

"Your Highness, I return this slave to you. You can give her whatever punishment you like!"

Teressa bowed respectfully until finally a sly smile broke out on Libradon's face.

"I know, he will surely return to meet his torment."

Libradon muttered. The man then descended the steps of his throne, while Teressa had now returned to her seat.

Letting Libradon finish what he had to do. She regretted that she had wanted to be kind. The truth was that a slave was still a slave.

"How does it feel to be given freedom in the blink of an eye? I told you, kowtow instead of lifting your stupid face!"

Libradon smiled wryly. The man then clapped his hands together. Several guards came and immediately approached the King.

"Prepare the most beautiful paradise for our honorable slave. Don't forget, also prepare the fire whip of this palace's power. I want to see him truly enjoy all the rewards for his deeds."

Libradon smiled happily. Especially when God Mervous remained silent, saying nothing.

The man thought to himself, God Mervous must have regretted insulting him. The man would have wanted to kowtow to him if he had the chance.

"I know. You must be lamenting your fate, right? You must be regretting that you decided to fight me. Unfortunately, there is no more chance from me. You have written your own destiny."

Libradon laughed in satisfaction.

But instead of focusing on the man, God Mervous' gaze was now fully focused on Teressa.

He knew that she did not trust him anymore. Teressa must have assumed that he was just a cheap guy who liked to seduce.

Libradon, who had just realized that, began to get annoyed.

He immediately ordered his guards to hurry up and do his bidding.

"Hurry up, I can't wait to see her tortured face!" shouted Libradon angrily.

The guards arrived with the wooden cross. The whip was now ready.

God Mervous was then forced and dragged and tied to the cross. Previously, the man's clothes had been taken off, leaving only his pants.

Crack! Bugh!

God Mervous seemed to close his eyes as the torture began by the guards.

The pain ran through his body but it was all incomparable to the pain of the girl who was similar to his lover thinking badly of him.

"Continue! Make her helpless! Ha ha ha! This is what you're going to get! You have dared to go against me!"

Libradon looked very satisfied. He was even treated to a cup of wine to enjoy the show that made fresh blood flow along god Mervous' body.

As for Teressa, the woman looked speechless. Her gaze was drawn straight ahead, where the figure of the man she had once admired was covered in blood.

Faintly visible in Teressa's eyes, despite being filled with so much blood. The man was still able to open his eyes.

Not a single complaint came out of the man's mouth. Not even a word of apologizing for the mistake and begging to be forgiven could be heard from the man's mouth.

The man just bowed his head, occasionally closing his eyes. Enjoying and taking for granted the pain given by the royal guards.

"Your cup, Miss Teressa?" offered one of the servants to the woman.

Teressa shook her head, refusing the cup filled with wine.

Just when Teressa could see how God Mervous was about to lose consciousness, a maid suddenly came rushing over to Teressa.

Teressa frowned as it was unusual for the maid to act like that.

"Miss Teressa! I just met and saw a girl who looks so much like you, Miss Teressa."

The maid's confession made Teressa round her eyes, so shocked by the news a maid delivered. "Are you sure?" she asked finally.

The maid nodded her head and said, "She looks so much like you, I even thought it was you."

Teressa was stunned for a long time. The maid's confession made Teressa's heart skip a beat.

"So.. he's telling the truth?"

Bruk!

Just as Teressa turned her gaze away, God Mervous' body fell to the ground.

The man was completely limp and helpless. Fresh blood flowed unceasingly.
