Seraphina's POV
I had said what I wanted to say. I didn't wish to appear in front of anyone before I was prepared.
But at the moment, I couldn't focus on anything since my tolerance of pain was only this much.
In the end, I passed out and woke up on an unfamiliar bed, but this time I didn't panic because I knew where I must have been.
All this time, whenever I was in trouble, I always ended up in front of Lucien. But today he was not with me, and to be honest, even though I missed him like crazy, I didn't want him to see me in this condition.
The next time I'd see you, you'd be surprised.
I thought and blinked slowly, adjusting to the soft light filtering through the thin curtains.
Everything on my body hurt. I could smell the ointments and other medicinal smells on my body. I could tell that they have tended my wounds pretty well.
I turned my head slightly and saw a small table near the bed. They really did clean me up.
