I. Voices in the Silence
Night had fallen on Edenfall, but the darkness was no longer the absence of light.
The sky shimmered with golden reflections and liquid shadows that moved slowly, as if the entire world breathed to the rhythm of the Tree.
Akihiko remained in meditation, deep within the Central Sanctuary.
His body was motionless, but his mind projected itself beyond the physical plane. The Tree guided him. The Void enveloped him.
And between those two planes, a voice began to form.
Soft. Uncertain. Human.
"Who am I?"
The voice echoed within him like an unfinished melody.
For a moment, his equilibrium was disrupted, and Akihiko felt a deep, familiar… almost painful connection.
— Liria… —he whispered.
The Tree responded with a luminous pulse.
"Two reflections. Two hearts in the same root. Distance does not exist for those who share the same origin."
The air distorted.
Akihiko opened his eyes, and the Sanctuary transformed before him. The ground turned into liquid crystal, and a figure began to materialize in front of him, shrouded in mist.
It was her.
Liria.
II. The Encounter
Time ceased to have meaning.
There was no up or down, no present or past. Only the echo of the Tree vibrating between them.
Liria took a step forward, with a mixture of fear and curiosity.
"You... are you the one I see in my dreams?"
Akihiko nodded slowly.
"They're not dreams. They're memories that Eden is trying to remind you of."
"Why me?" she asked, her voice trembling. "
I have no memories. I have no name. They just call me 'weapon.'"
Akihiko watched her in silence.
Her presence radiated the same kind of energy as the core of Edenfall, but more unstable. She was a fractured soul trying to find its place.
"You're not a weapon, Liria," he said calmly. "
You're a consequence... and a possibility."
She moved a little closer.
The ground rippled beneath her feet, as if the world itself were responding to her movement. "And you?" she asked. "What are you?"
"I am what remains when light and shadow tire of fighting," Akihiko replied without hesitation.
"Balance. The mistake that Eden could not erase."
For a moment, they gazed at each other in silence.
The Tree's radiance was reflected in their dual eyes: golden in his, gray in hers. Two poles of the same equation.
III. The Bond
The Tree began to glow brightly, as if celebrating their meeting.
Luminous roots spread around them, intertwining in a vibrant spiral.
Akihiko extended his hand.
"If you can feel this, Liria... then you're not alone."
She hesitated.
Tobias had taught her that contact with Eden could kill her. But deep down, something stronger compelled her to trust.
He placed his hand on top of hers.
The impact was immediate.
The world expanded. They both saw overlapping fragments of time:— The Tree before it was a Tree.— The creation of the Void.— The birth of the original city.— Draven falling.— And finally, the melting of balance .
Liria screamed, but Akihiko held her.
"Don't fight it." "It's devouring me!" "No, Liria... it's showing you what you were before they tried to decide for you."
The roots rose up, forming a circle of energy that enveloped their bodies.
For an instant, their souls reflected each other.
Liria saw what Akihiko was: a guardian who carried the full weight of Eden.
Akihiko saw what Liria was: the world's attempt to remind him of his own innocence.
When the light faded, they were both on their knees, exhausted.
But something had changed: their hearts were beating in unison.
IV. Tobias
Miles away, inside the Council ship, Tobias Kroll woke with a start.
The power monitors were flashing wildly. "What the hell…?"
Technicians were running around everywhere.
"Sir! The Liria unit has generated an unauthorized resonance! The flow has been diverted towards Edenfall!"
Tobias approached the controls.
The readings were impossible. Liria's power was synchronizing with an external source: the core of Edenfall .
Aldrich appeared in the room, his expression cold.
"I warned you. You have created an echo of the balance. Now your 'weapon' no longer belongs to you."
Tobias shoved him furiously.
"Shut up! She's mine! I'll bring her back!"
Eris Nocturne appeared from the shadows, her smile unsettling.
"Or perhaps… she was never yours. Doesn't Eden always reclaim what is rightfully hers?"
Tobias ignored her.
"Prepare the ship." "Are you going to attack them alone?" Aldrich asked mockingly. "No," Tobias
said , staring into the darkness. "I'm bringing my sister."
V. The Call
At the Sanctuary, Akihiko and Liria stood before the core.
The silence had become sacred. She watched him, still confused, but with eyes brighter than ever.
"There's something inside me... that stirs when I'm near you," he said, touching his chest.
"It's the echo," Akihiko
replied . "The Tree recognizes your energy as part of its memory. And you're beginning to recognize mine."
"Then why did they create me?" she asked.
"Because men always try to rebuild what they don't understand. And you are the reflection of their fear of losing control."
Liria lowered her gaze.
"Tobias says that balance is a lie. That Eden only brought suffering." "Tobias seeks revenge, not truth," Akihiko
retorted . "Revenge never builds anything. It only repeats the mistakes it claims to hate."
The tree trembled.
A voice resonated within them both at the same time:
"The shadow of dawn approaches."
Akihiko understood instantly.
The Council was in motion.
VI. Preparations for the Storm
Hours later, in Edenfall, the roots began to glow with an alarming light.
Kaede rushed toward the Sanctuary. "Akihiko, the readings are overflowing. Something massive is approaching from low orbit."
Sael burst in behind her.
"The radars detect a camouflaged fleet. It's the Council of Dawn."
Akihiko looked at Liria.
"It's too soon." "No," she replied firmly. "They were always going to come."
Kaede looked at her suspiciously.
"And you? Which side are you on?"
Liria held her gaze.
— On the side that doesn't ask me to destroy what I'm only just beginning to understand.
The ground shook.
From the sky, red lights descended like meteors. The attack had begun.
VII. The First Blow of Dawn
Tobias, in his ship, watched Edenfall spread out before him.
" Draven... I will avenge him. And Eden will fall with you, Akihiko."
With a gesture, he gave the order.
Missiles of pure energy hurtled toward the city. But before they could touch the ground, the sky split in two: a golden wall rose from the core, stopping the impact.
Akihiko appeared high above, suspended in the air, with the Tree resonating behind him.
His voice boomed like thunder over the entire city:
— Edenfall will not fall to those who live off the ruins of the past.
And as he spoke those words, the Tree lit up completely, illuminating the night sky with a double aurora—gold and black.
The first confrontation between the Council of Dawn and the Guardian of Eden had begun.
🕯️ End of Chapter 292 Akihiko and Liria meet for the first time on a spiritual plane, uniting their souls through the Tree. It is revealed that Liria is not only a creation of the Council, but an echo of Akihiko's energy, a natural extension of balance. Tobias discovers that he has lost control over her, and Aldrich takes advantage of this to launch a direct invasion of Edenfall . The attack begins, but Akihiko rises as the absolute protector of the new Eden.
The world is about to witness a war that belongs to no human side.
Dawn and Eden are on a collision course.
