The Pure Land.
This place, once created by the Sage of Six Paths as the resting ground for departed souls, was now shaking violently. Heaven and earth trembled, space itself shattered, as though the world was on the brink of destruction.
Beneath the black blade, all things overturned—heaven and earth crumbled.
As the shockwaves slowly faded, Yuki Yoru looked down at the figure beneath the fractured world.
That last strike had been immensely powerful, but still not enough to kill Ōtsutsuki Hamura outright.
Unlike Hagoromo, who had once dispersed his own strength to extract the Ten Tails from his body and start anew in pursuit of devouring all chakra across the world, Hamura's power had been tempered and refined over a thousand years, reaching a pinnacle of its own.
His combat power was comparable to the former Ten-Tails Obito!
As the dust and aftershocks cleared, a slightly disheveled figure, Ōtsutsuki Hamura, emerged from within.
Yoru raised his hand, and behind him, countless Sacred Destruction Arrows gathered in a blinding radiance, like falling stars raining from the sky.
They poured down upon Hamura like a divine storm, fierce and endless.
The overwhelming spiritual bombardment struck the already-ruined world again and again.
The air was compressed and distorted by sheer force, visible ripples twisting through reality as heaven and earth were torn apart.
The ground beneath Hamura disintegrated completely under the assault, revealing the raw, void-like fabric of space itself.
"Rinne Reversal: Perfect Wheel!"
An invisible repulsive barrier, reinforced by the spinning Truth-Seeking Orbs behind him, shielded Hamura from the relentless downpour of light.
Even as the ground, the sky, and space itself were pulverized into nothing, the spot where he stood remained untouched.
But that kind of defensive "turtle style" could never win a fight.
As he fended off the continuous barrage with his repulsion and orbs, Hamura's expression tightened. Then, at the very instant two arrows of spiritual power descended toward him—his figure vanished.
In the blink of an eye, he reappeared directly before Yuki Yoru.
His seemingly slender palm thrust forward toward Yuki Yoru's chest—
the force it unleashed even greater than his earlier Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!
Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack!
A fearless, merciless fist that shook the sky with Sage Path power, combining offense and defense!
The power of this single strike was completely on par with the power that Kaguya had released long ago! A millennium of refinement had allowed Ōtsutsuki Hamura to grow to a level comparable to his own mother!
But, unfortunately.
Snap!
Just as the world-shattering strike was about to land, a hand shot out and caught Hamura's wrist in midair.
His unstoppable attack came to an abrupt halt.
Yuki Yoru's calm voice echoed beside his ear:
"I've already seen everything, Hamura.
In my eyes, I've already witnessed the image of your death."
Whummm!
Hamura instinctively tried to break free, but at that moment, a terrifying suction erupted from Yoru's palm.
He felt his power flooding out of him—draining away like a dam bursting open.
Sensing the change within, Hamura's expression shifted slightly. Without hesitation, a flash of golden light appeared around his left hand—
and he severed his own right arm, the one Yoru was holding.
In an instant, he leapt backward, his gaze sharp and grim.
"Truly decisive, aren't you?"
Yoru gave a low hum. The severed arm in his grasp twisted and disintegrated within moments—completely devoured.
At the level of the Six Paths, beings no longer possessed ordinary biological traits; they existed as pure energy lifeforms. The Ōtsutsuki clan, by nature, were born with such bodies.
Ōtsutsuki Hamura, though born in the shinobi world as a child of Kaguya, was at his core a chakra-based lifeform.
And for Yuki Yoru—
such a being was the perfect nourishment.
"You bastard..."
Ōtsutsuki Hamura's expression—unchanging for what felt like ten thousand years—finally shifted.
In that instant, realization struck him like lightning.
Yuki Yoru had not merely defeated Ten-Tails Obito and their mother…
She had devoured them.
Though born in the shinobi world, his very nature had long since become no different from the Ōtsutsuki who roamed the cosmos, devouring entire planets for sustenance.
They were all the same—hunters, and prey.
"I don't know what trick that old man used to block my perception," Yoru said softly, his palm closing as he absorbed Hamura's chakra into himself. "But leaving you here alone was his greatest mistake."
Hamura's face darkened. Chakra surged within him as he hastened to regenerate his severed arm.
The golden sword reformed in his grasp—but Yoru only smiled faintly.
"The power of the Tenseigan… this is how you use it, isn't it?"
The black blade in his hand gleamed. A faint golden glow spread from his palm, covering the weapon.
In an instant, the pure black blade turned dark gold, its aura surging sharply once more.
He was devouring power—and converting it into his own.
Hamura's eyes narrowed. He could already sense the dojutsu hidden within the strange eye embedded in Yoru's palm.
That was what made him wary.
This ability was clearly an evolved form of the Chakra Absorption Seal—a skill that, to the Ōtsutsuki, was as natural as breathing.
For beings like them—chakra lifeforms who had fully evolved—absorbing techniques and sealing energies were basic talents, no more remarkable than eating or drinking.
However, in a battle between equals, those abilities were usually of limited use.
The reason was simple:
Although the Absorption Seal could devour various energy types, when faced with energy on the same level—such as chakra infused with Yin–Yang Release or Senjutsu chakra—its effectiveness diminished drastically.
And against techniques like taijutsu or divine techniques, it was all but useless.
But what Yuki Yoru displayed now… was something else entirely.
In a battle of energy-based beings, power determined dominance—
and at this moment, Yuki Yoru's energy level surpassed Hamura's.
...
Meanwhile, in another place—
A colossal black thunder dragon, nearly a hundred meters long, let out a violent crackling roar and launched forward at impossible speed, streaking toward Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo.
"Good! Come, then!"
After a long and fierce struggle, Hagoromo bellowed, his sage power surging to new heights.
The nine Truth-Seeking Orbs floated before him, spinning rapidly until they merged into several massive vortices—like gaping black holes.
With a heavy strike of his staff upon the void, he raised his hand. From those dark vortices burst an overwhelming suction force.
Facing the onrushing lightning-origin beast, Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo actually intended to devour it whole!
The black thunder dragon, enraged by this defiance, roared furiously and lunged headfirst into the whirlpools of Truth-Seeking Orbs.
The next moment, the thunder lightning dragon, as if being sealed like a Tailed Beast, abruptly merged into Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo's body.
Arcs of black lightning erupted across his skin, wrapping his body completely.
As the bolts danced and spread, the surrounding silver lightning that had been relentlessly striking him suddenly stopped.
The countless streaks of thunder now circled him hesitantly, uncertain.
The intruder they had been attacking now carried the aura of their king.
The shift was so profound that even the thunder itself seemed confused.
Within the storm of lightning, Hagoromo's expression hardened as he steadied his mind and spirit.
He kept forcefully suppressing the wildly destructive lightning-based natural energy rampaging within his body.
To directly absorb such a berserk power into oneself—anyone else would call it a death wish.
But Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo did it anyway.
The moment the furious lightning energy entered his body, it began to surge uncontrollably, raging through his flesh.
Even with the stabilizing force of his Sage Power, he couldn't completely restrain it.
Yet before long, that violent lightning-origin energy gradually began to calm itself.
"Heh…"
Feeling the storm within him subside—subdued by the combined pressure of the other four elemental origins—Hagoromo finally let out a quiet breath of relief.
Without absolute preparation, he would never have dared to absorb such a force directly.
He had already assimilated four of the five fundamental origins.
Even if this final lightning-origin energy was especially fierce, it could not possibly resist the one who now commanded the other four.
Now that he had suppressed it, all that remained was to devour and refine it completely.
Once that was done, Hagoromo would wield the totality of this world's power itself!
"So what if you've devoured Mother?" he murmured confidently. "You're nothing more than an empty shell who failed to reclaim chakra."
Power erupted from him like a flood, his chakra surging skyward.
The mountain gorge—once blanketed by rolling thunder and dark clouds—now echoed with a faint, solemn hymn as the Sage's energy filled the heavens.
It was as though the very world sang in praise and blessing of that immense power.
Five elemental chakras revolved around him, while the twin radiance of Yin and Yang cloaked his form in divine light.
His presence was awe-inspiring, sacred, unshakable.
"Even if the Soul Plan is destroyed, even if the chakra network has collapsed… I can still rely on the world's primordial power to stand unrivaled!"
"He… he really did it…"
From below, Gamamaru gazed up at the majestic figure of Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo, his expression a tangled mix of awe and disbelief.
Since his youth, he had witnessed this man perform countless miracles—
from overthrowing their mother, the Rabbit Goddess Kaguya,
to splitting the Ten-Tails into the tailed beasts and spreading chakra across the world,
to his ambition to command souls and forge the very underworld itself.
And now, this legendary Sage had succeeded in refining all the elemental origins of the world—
becoming, in the truest sense, the Master of the World.
Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo… your ambition and magnitude are enough to take one's breath away.
The awe reflected in Gamamaru's eyes filled Hagoromo with deep satisfaction.
With a thought, he raised his Six Paths staff, and at once the entire world resonated with his will, responding in countless unseen ways.
Just as Gamamaru feared—having mastered the five elemental origins—
Hagoromo now stood as the absolute ruler of this realm.
"Ōtsutsuki Isshiki… Yuki Yoru…"
"This farce has gone on long enough. It's time to end it."
With this power, even if Yuki Yoru had devoured their mother, he was utterly confident he could defeat her.
And as for Isshiki… heh—the man wasn't even fully resurrected yet.
Even if he were, Hagoromo would still face him without fear.
"Come. Let's return and prepare."
"Understood!"
Gamamaru followed reverently, his earlier schemes and doubts completely gone.
Before the Sage who now held dominion over the very fabric of the world, all his plotting seemed laughably small.
With a light tap of his staff against the void, space rippled and split into layers of luminous folds.
Hagoromo and Gamamaru stepped forward—and in the next instant, they had crossed the dimensions, returning once more to the Pure Land.
But the very moment they set foot there, Hagoromo's brow furrowed deeply.
Gamamaru, too, froze in stunned silence.
The world of black and white now looked as though it were being crushed by an unimaginable force.
Everything had become a chaotic blur of distorted pixels—shapeless, formless, utterly broken.
The ground had collapsed.
The elements were in disarray.
Energy spilled unchecked.
Space itself had shattered.
The entire realm was ruined beyond repair.
And in the midst of that collapsing world—
a lone figure sat casually, one leg crossed over the other (Uchiha Obito declaring war.jpg), looking down from above at the two who had just entered.
"Yuki Yoru!"
The sound, almost a gnashing of teeth, came from Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki's mouth: "Where is Hamura!"
"Hamura, hmm…"
Yuki Yoru clicked his tongue, as if savoring a taste.
"That was quite the enormous source of energy. Almost enough to rival your dear mother."
"Bastard!!"
The aged Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo let out a furious, mirthless laugh.
His grip on the Six Paths staff tightened until the bones of his hand cracked audibly.
A sacred, boundless wave of chakra erupted from him, soaring into the heavens—
and what was left of the Pure Land began to twist and dissolve even further into void.
In his rippling Sage Eyes reflected a storm of energy—terrifying, radiant.
The purest Yin–Yang chakra gathered in his palms, compressed to its absolute limit.
For countless eons, this world of gray death had known only silence and stillness—
but now, it was flooded with light.
The power of the world itself stirred in response, and faint, divine hymns began to echo through the emptiness.
A moment later—
an indescribably vast and overwhelming blast of power descended upon Yuki Yoru!
"You've lost your composure, Hagoromo."
Yoru grinned wide, raising his hand toward the oncoming divine strike.
"If I recall correctly… that's how that guy used it, wasn't it?"
"Rinne Reversal!"
An extreme repulsive force burst forth from his palm,
and several black Truth-Seeking Orbs, infused with his spiritual power, spun violently into motion,
surging upward to meet the Six Paths' devastating attack head-on.
Boom!!!
The two colossal forces collided, and the world convulsed.
The already-ruined Pure Land was completely annihilated—
torn apart, shattered into pure chaos.
All forms of structured energy disintegrated.
No order remained.
Only the primal, formless turbulence of creation itself.
In the empty void of the cosmos, as the shockwaves slowly faded away,
Yuki Yoru rose to his feet.
In his palm shimmered a dark-golden spirit blade,
which he leveled at the grim-faced Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo.
"In my eyes, Hagoromo…"
"I already see your death."
"Yuki Yoru!!!"
